I have 2 courses that contain software simulations that are supposed to provide positive and negative feedback. When I do a SCORM Cloud preview, it shows both positive and negative feedback, but in our LMS it does not. I had originally posted a question about this back in November, which RodWard stated that it is a JSON issue (Assessment Failure Feedback Not Showing in LMS ).After much back and forth with our LMS, their conclusion was that it is not a JSON issue because the course should show positive and negative feedback in the web version of SCORM Cloud and that it must be an issue on my end. But I have scoured my course for anything that would prevent the negative feedback from showing, and I've got nothing. This poses a few questions for me...1. What's really going on in my courses where the negative feedback won't appear in the LMS?2. Why does the negative feedback appear in the SCORM Cloud preview in Captivate, but not on the SCORM Cloud website? Why are these different? Isn't t

I've created a quiz in Presenter, but when I run it, there's one question slide that won't advance after the question is answered. The slide settings and quiz settings are the same for all three questions, so I'm not sure why only this question fails to move forward.Any help would be appreciated.

We use remediation (return to quiz). Our users are getting locked up because when an incorrect question returns to content, they are using navigation buttons instead of what the directions tell them to do. Is there a way to "not show nav buttons" if the user arrived on the slide from a quiz question?

Hi everyone,Is there a way to track how much time a learner has spent on a certain portion (slide 10 to slide 30) of a Captivate course? Also, on a simulation, can we keep a track of the number of clicks a learner makes to reach to the correct clickbox within a slide?I am unable to derive the learner journey inside the course from the SCORM (version 1.2) reports on Cornerstone. Hi everyone, Somewhat new to Captivate 2019, and I've done a few relatively simple projects with it, including some with software simulations on it, but I would still consider myself mostly a novice.I went away for the weekend after spending a week on a project for my final, and now that I have come back, Captivate is giving me all sorts of trouble. First, when I open the project up (it no longer appears as a recent project, too), it tells me I have lots of unused items in my library, when two days ago I didn't get that message. When I go to preview or publish, it gets about 2% in before simply saying it failed. If I click on some of the text boxes to edit, the whole thing crashes. I have reinstalled it and I am I still getting the same results. Pretty frustrated, needless to say. Does anyone have any recommendations, aside from start over?

Does anyone know the implications of selecting this option in the advanced settings of CP7?

Hi,I have scormed and published my course and it is now live through our Cornerstone LMS however the course is extremely slow and loads for a very long time which also then affects the interactions.Do you have any suggestions on what the problem may be and if there's anything I can do to help this?Thanks.

Hello, brand new Adobe Captivate user here.  Trying out 2019 obviously. 🙂In launching a live device preview I get a link to an IP that I suspect is supposed to be the device I am running Captivate on - my laptop.  I gather a web server is running to service a request on my local network given the link.  Very cool.  The problem is the IP it is attached to doesn't appear to be correct.  It is not my local interface IP.  I suspect this is something to do with virtual networking I have on my machine from other software installs, but long story short is there any configuration I can be pointed to such that I can ensure it starts the web server on an appropriate/reachable IP?Thanks much!!

I am using $$cpQuizInfoStudentName$$ to capture the learners name from the LMS. However, when I click "Back" to look at past content and then return, $$cpQuizInfoStudentName$$ will capture the learner's name again but will also add "undefined" to the end of it. If I repeat the process (going back and forward), it will add "undefined" again. Can someone please explain what is happening and what can I do to prevent "undefined" from being added to the name once a learner returns to the screen. Thanks!

Need your help on this issue. Tried different quiz settings but this is the one thing we couldn't solve. I'm using Captivate 9. A fill-In-the-blank slide. Dropdown box with 2 choices. I need to increase the size of the box beyond the length of the 2 answers. All my research has pointed to adding additional spaces as a work-around.  This does not seem to work. Empty spaces are completely ignored by the program. Even putting a period before or after the line of empty spaces--the spaces are still not inserted. I seem to be having a related problem with Captivate 2019, 11.0.0.243 (Latest version as of 1 May 2019): the Character formatting option to insert a hyperlink has disappeared.  I used to find it next to the & and the .  Captivate was also hanging a lot, so I tried reinstalling, which didn't fix this.  What am I doing wrong here?

I have a problem with the user being able to bypass the quiz without answering.The global preferences are set to Required - the user must take the quiz to continue.The quiz is set up so that pressing the submit button gives a custom correct/incomplete/failure feedback caption. Actions are set to On Success and On Failure (with 1 attempt) to Go to the next slide.There are also forward and back buttons.If the user does not take the quiz but instead hits the forward button they can advance without answering the quiz.  When we tried removing the forward button the user could still move forward by clicking on the screen twice.If the user answers the quiz and hits submit they get the correct caption but the slide does not advance to the next slide on both success and failure conditions.We've been beating on what should be a simple bug for a week now and failed to find a solutions so we could really use some expert insight.I am running Captivate 8 on a Mac

We have developed an e-Learning based on Adobe Captivate and it has been published in SCORM-Version.After downloading the zip-file everything works fine on the local machine under Windows Explorer.If the complete content will be uploaded to a dedicated library on an Sharepoint server, the loading screen appears and nothing happens.After doing some technical research, we found out that all Captivate files use "relative paths". The problem on Sharepoint is, that the calling page hasn't got the same structure as the library from where it's called.Some questions:1. Is Captivate able to publish the content directly to an Sharepoint server?2. Is Captivate able to replace the "relative paths" with "absolute paths"?Can you help me here?I tried to start the e-Learning by uploading the content in SCORM-version, NON-SCORM version, in the SitePages Content Library and more. Paul, i been trying to fix something but is impossible... adding external users on prime it simple dont work-. i try with all kind of navigators chrome, explorer etc etc. prime support dont answer, even on phone. a month and nothing happens. i know you are the sensei in Cp. if you have any sugestion please let me know. I am hoping someone has a resolution for an issue we are having with exporting audio files using Cp 2019, Windows 7.  When using the Audio Management, Export audio files, select all the files, a message asks if I want to overwrite existing files (even when there aren't and existing files to replace), which we are saying yes to, it is only exporting the first file. We have tried creating a brand new course, creating new audio files and trying again, does the same thing but it is only on one laptop! I have compared settings with mine, and everything I can think of, and still cannot figure out this issue. We have uninstalled and reinstalled Captivate 2019 at least 3 times, and it still does the same thing every time my team member uses it. I am at a loss because I can create new and it works perfectly, but it fails when I try to open her file, and I am saving it as a new name too.We are working off our hard drives and not on a server.

I'm looking for specific and detailed instructions on how to publish Adobe Captivate 2017 files for a generic online course on MaxIT's Ability LMS (i.e., what settings to use in Captivate). I want to be able to use a workflow for multiple Captivate files). Can anyone help me? I can't find this information anywhere.

Hey there,I'm working on a captivate project with a classic final multiple choice test in the end of the training.On the results slide will be shown how many questions have been answered correctly using the $$cpQuizInfoPointsscored$$ variable.No matter on which computer/browser I'm testing the training it shows the correct value behind the variable. Only when testing it in the clients LMS it shows $$cpQuizInfoPointsscored$$ instead of the value behind it (s. screenshot).Any ideas how that can be and how to fix it?Thank you for any help, Moritz

Hi guys,At the moment, I am designing and developing a responsive e-learning module in Captivate that obviously has to look and good on a variety of mobile devices.I am using Breakpoints where I have the 5 different views for laptop, tablet and mobile etc. The main problem arises when I go to the 5th view for a mobile phone that has a portrait / upright orientation. I can adjust the text sizes and positions so that it looks all fine in captivateBUT... when I test it on my own mobile phone (a HUAWEI Honor 9) it does NOT LOOK the SAME!I often have to go back a few times and do more adjustments to the size and position of things before I get a reasonable result on my phone!Is there a surefire way of doing this once and getting it right first time?It is driving me NUTS!Also...On the subject of designing Captivate Modules on PCs etc for mobile devices, is there an free android emulator that I can download and install on my PC / laptopwith Chrome Browser in it so that I can view any e-learni

Hi there,I'm using the latest version of Captivate for Mac. I tried publishing as html to send my work to colleagues for review. Those who have Macs can open the files, those with PCs cannot. Is there anything I can do about this? Haven't been able to find a solution online. Any advice much appreciated. Gene

Hi,I am looking to use captivate 2019 to create a VR 360 video project with hotspots. I then want to view this on an Oculus Go (Preferably offline).1) Is this possible with the current version of Captivate?2) Which camera do people recommend for Captivare VR projects (right now I'm between a GoPro Fusion and the Vuze+)?3) Are offline projects possible (I'm new to Captivate so still working through the learning curve)?any help or advice is appreciated! Some of my users that are taking the training on their mac devices using the Safari Browser are getting a bad header request. Students taking the the training with Firefox or Chrome do not have this issue. It seems to be issolated to the Safair Browser. Anyone else come accross this issue. The size of the course is only 15kb and is published in html5. Thank you for your time.

I thought this would be pretty simple but I seem to be at an impasse. I want to give the user a certain amount of time to click a button on a slide, and, after that time has elapsed I want a highlight box to appear around the button to inform the user where to click. I've been playing around with system variables such as cpInfoCurrentTime and cpInfoElapsedTimeMS, but just haven't been able to get this to work, much to my chagrin. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.
