Hi everyone,I recently updated to Captivate 2019 and am still learning.Recently, I had to add audio to my project and timed the text to fade in when the audio reached that point. The problem is that the text does not fade in on previews or in the LMS. I have the slide to Continue and Pause for on enter and on exit respectively.The fade in does not occur when it is timed. This also happens with images.The following are screenshots that may be helpful in figuring out the problem.  Thanks for any and all assistance.

HiI have a client that is having a weird issue.  Her quiz results page shows zeros for her score and accuracy.  That's not possible in this course as you have to answer correctly to even get to the end.The course has been taken by hundreds of people.  This is the first time I have seen this.She said she tried it in Chrome too. Any ideas??

Does anyone know of a publishing issue with Captivate 2019 lessons that use a question bank? I normally publish to HTML and lessons without QBs work just fine. But ones with QBs apparently must be published to SWF in order to work. When I publish to HTML, the browser just spins.I haven't been able to find any documentation that specifies Flash is required for publishing with question banks. IS this the case, or is it a Captivate glitch?

Hello,I'm having an issue with my quiz questions being cut off after being published. They look fine in the preview mode but once published they are cut off either not displaying all of the question (cutting off a few words) or cutting the line of text horizontally through the middle of the first line. I have resized the windows but that doesn't fix the problem. Anyone have ideas on how to fix this?Thanks.

Hi,Trying to get Jaws to read my project. Looking for basic advice. Running CP 2019Best way to publish - html5 or swf?Best browser to use?Best way to test - webserver? LMS? locally? preview in web browser?Current issue is that jaws will not read my text captions on my slide until I click on the slide. Shouldn't it automatically read the text captions? Especially if there are no interactive objects on a slide?Thanks!

I want to create a drag and drop interaction where learners view “cards” (drag sources) and sort them into various groups (drop targets), “Good”, “Neutral” and “Bad”. There are no right or wrong answers.This eLearning module would be hosted on the client’s LMS.Once the interaction is submitted I would like the learner to be able to visit an adviser (in person) and show them how they have sorted the cards (ideally I imagine the learner pulling their phone out and showing the adviser). So my challenge is, how can I first save, then display the learner’s sorted cards (doesn’t need to be visual, could be text)? I want to avoid anything remotely technical for the adviser (that’s why the client pulling out their phone and navigating to the module where the sorted cards are displayed would be the easiest solution).Any ideas would be appreciated! Thank you in advance.

For my quiz i added the review button in the resultspage to see which answers are correct and incorrect. When i click the review button it brings me back to all the questions but the answers and the correct and incorrect icons are not shown.Doen anyone knows what i'm doing wrong?

Hi there,I want to import a PPT file in Captivate and keep the animations that are in the PowerpointThere are simple text animations - one paragraph appears after the other.However, once I import the PPT in Captivate The second paragraph does not appear.Is there some special settings I need to do to be able to see the animations in PPT?ThanksB

Using Adobe Captivate 2019 I selected the  Content 06 slide. I deleted the objects I did not need but these circles (forgot what I call them but I used to see them all the time during my Flash days), remain on the stage. Does anyone know why they are there?Thanks

but Captivate menus are now too tiny to read.So far, this tryout has been a bust.Does Captivate just not work with a "high-density" screen resolution?Do I have to change my screen resolution in order for Captivate to display correctly?If so, that is a definite show-stopper for me.

Many times, I'll open a project to reference actions or someone has a question about a slide.Most of the time, I make zero changes to the file but when closing, it's asks to "Save changes".I didn't change anything in the file. Nothing. I'll even go back to the 1st slide that I opened the file with, just in case it wanted to save the view state of the slide I was on.It's rather annoying, but I get it that it doesn't rank high compared to many of the other issues. But... this has been going on since Ver 7, which was released years ago and hoped it would have been fixed by now.

Hi!I'm new to Captivate and i'm trying to find a way to develop elearning courses that fit the browser/screen size, like in modern webdesign For example, i want to have a header menu that fits the browser width or, i would like to fix the position of an element to the limit of the screen, so that it is always positioned there, independently of the size of the screen.Is this possible to do in Adobe Captivate?Thanks,Victor Pereira

Hello everyone,How do I prevent an Adobe Captivate 2019 slide from moving to the next slide if I am not using a button with a stop action in it, so that only the playbar will move ahead? It's been a while and I can't seem to recall the steps needed to make this happen.On the other hand, would it be wise to only use the play bar as a navigation tool for a Captivate presentation? I suppose I can put a forward and back button the slide. But I would like to free up that real estate if I can.I'm creating an eLearning module for a company that is going to have me give a presentation during a job interview. Wish me luck.

Is it possible to set a max time limit to complete an entire quiz or is it just timed per question? Also can total duration be shown and stored in the test results?

How do you know who is taking the quiz? IS there a way to enter your name or an ID number or something?(New to Captivate)

Is it possible to show the score of a question along with the question? For example, 'This question is worth 5 out of 100 points'?

Hello - I'm having issues with some of my drop down widgets in Edge. I use them to create a custom interactions. I check the selection that the learner made with a Submit action. This all works fine in Chrome, but not always in Edge browser. Does anyone have experience with why this happens just in Edge? Thank you

Hey all!I've created a simple drag and drop activity that is going within an eLearning platform. Ideally, it would act within the webpage without being a video, but it seems it has to export as one. Are there ways to remove the playhead and video controls, or should that be coded on my webpage instead? Hey all!I'm using smart shapes as buttons in my project to trigger "pop ups" on slides, but I'm running into unintended effects with the timeline. I noticed the following check box:My assumption was that it would work like this:Continue playing the project unchecked: Clicking this button will pause the timelineContinue playing the project checked: Clicking this button will not interact with the timeline in any wayThis makes sense although a little counter intuitive, but what actually happens seems to be even moreso:Continue playing the project unchecked: Clicking this button always pauses the timelineContinue playing the project checked: Clicking this button always unpauses the timelineTherefore, there seems to be no way to make a smart shape button simply NOT interact with the timeline. No matter what options are chosen, it will always either pause or unpause the timeline.This isn't acceptable for me. Hello.I have a very strange trouble with Hyperlinks in Adobe Captivate!I am working on a project with 229 slides.On the slide 7 ,there is some Hyperlinks.The Hyperlinks that linked to the slides 1 to 26 work very good.But Hyperlinks that linked to slides 27 to 229 don't work!When click them one, there is no action ,also when click again , but when click for 3rd time, the slide 4 is shown.Please help me.Please say me what is wrong?

During first installation in Win 7 I have interrupted this installation too soon.A second installation failes because my windows says that there is an installation done, but that is not the case.I can not remove the program.I think i have something to do with my windows register.Can someone help my to solve this for me ?

Is there a way to have the HTML5 Captivate published training course with the text accessible? I have students who are dyslexic and who use an app to have the text read to them as they read. Currently, the text is not selectable and so it can not be accessed by the reader app.

Hi everyone, We are currently using Captivate 2017 for a non-responsive project. We read the varying posts. To date: 1) We do not autoplay and we have a poster image2) We tried publishing straight to Youtube option; no audio. 3) We used the publish settings to publish as a video, no audio.4) We altered the bit rate to see if that made a difference, it did not. 5) We added a second before every slide and republished as a video as well as a YouTube, and that did not work. Any other ideas? We are using PC/ Windows 10 Enterprise. Sherry
