I think this is just me being stupid, but whatever.All slides in my project use a background image. I want to use a different background image on every slide. But I want to be able to just apply to all slides at once. Currently, the only way I see to make the change is to select each slide, select Project Background in properties, and then select the background image I want.

I have an interesting problem, at least to me it is interesting.I have 2 Captivate HTML5 projects loaded on an iPad.  When I run one of the projects it runs and operates perfectly.  When I finish the module and exit it, and open the next project, it plays the previous one.  Or in certain cases, it plays part of the previous one.  The two projects are of different dimensions.  It appears that the local files that Captivate is creating or writing to the local iPad drive or cache are staying after the first module is closed.  The files are NOT set up to report to an LMS so there is no imsmanifest file, etc.  I could not find a location to assign each project a unique ID within Captivate.  The file sizes are small, 1.45 mb and 11 mb respectfully.Is there a way to make Captivate delete the local files it is writing or that appear to be being held in cache.  Or is it possible to have the modules write unique IDs so that potentially this problem do

I am trying to "print" a word doc with caption Text in Cp 9.0.  The only thing that is displayed is "select," "select."  I am successful with capturing caption texts with all applications EXCEPT SuccessFactors.  I am attempting to record transactions in SF EC.  Anyone have the same issue?  Any suggestions?

Doing a screen capture video demo and the system sound starts off fine, then gets very distrorted. i tried recording with the volume lowered on the system, reducing and increasing the sampling rate, and the result is still the same. Thoughts?

Captivate 2017I am having issues with the sound cutting out when previewed and published. It will play normally and then the sound will just stop while the slide continues. It also will not start at the beginning of the lesson and I have to click the back button first for the sound to even start.I have also recently started to receive the message below when I open a published Captivate.I record in Audition and then place the audio in the slides. I have not had an issue like this previously. Any help is appreciated.Thanks.

This is for Adobe Captivate 2017I have a custom control bar handling Mute, CC, Reset, Back Play and Pause.My goal is to add a progress indicator showing the time spent on a module and the total time of the module. Example :  01:36 / 07:40I would think this should be as easy as droping in a built in Captivate variable but i am not seeing the variables i need. List of variables in Adobe Captivate I believe i should be using cpInfoElapsedTimeMS for the first part but dont know what to use for the second part to show the total module time. Is there an expanded list of Adobe Captivate variables I am not finding?Thank you in advance for any guidence on this.

Learning interactions function differently in F10 preview than when published (HTML5). There are components (text box for instructions & "Next" button) that do not come through into the published product. When viewed in Chrome, we see the learning interaction minus the programmed audio, instructional text box, & "Next" button. When viewed using IE, the learning interaction does not appear but the instructional text box & "Next" button do appear. (We do not have an LMS, but post onto our own server.) Any insight?

HiI am fairly new to Captivate and have published an elearning module built in Captivate 2017. The problem I am having is that when I click anywhere on the slide that is not a button, the module closes down. (I am publishing to my computer only at this stage.)This does not happen with other modules I have created, and I don't know where to start looking to solve the problem.Any help would be much appreciated.ThanksGabrielle

The table formatting does not output the same in published form (HTML5 only).Table inside Captivate:Table once published in HTML5:In preview mode inside Captivate, it looks the same as when developing in Captivate.  I am using Captivate 2017.Has anyone experienced this and know a work around for this? Or know another way to create a table in Captivate that doesn't involve creating a ton of shapes... Can i insert an HTML coded table into a Captivate slide somehow?Thank you in advance for your help!

Hi!The home page (home to four branches) for this module has a speech bubble that changes states as each branch is successfully completed. I have audio that accompanies the speech in the bubble. The problem is that I can't get these audio files to play when the text changes. I've tried two approaches: dropping them into each of the states and writing it into the advanced interaction that changes the speech bubble. Neither work. The weird thing is that it works when I view 'next 5 slides' but not for the full module.  Help! A little info on how this is programmed:There are four branches that make up the modules. Once all four are completed, a final review button appears. To make this happen, I need to  assign 1 to each distinct submodule and count on entry to the home slide. When all 4 submodules have 1 or greater, then the script on the home page plays audio that says ' complete the final review' and it shows the final review button that was previously hidden. Hi there,I will be using a lot of cartoon characters in a project. I take them from eLearning brothers - there is a great collection there.Instead of adding them to the library I was thinking if there is a way to add them beforehand somewhere so I could then choose them by inserting with Media => Characters.So to put text to the image hereunder, I would like to be able to also click on 1, choose from 2 and have 3.Is there a way to do that?Thank you in advanceB

My users want to be able to review the lesson content after completion but the LMS takes them to the last slide and then closes it.  This is because the last quiz interaction is set to close the lesson (the very last slide).  I need to figure out a way to reset the bookmark once they successfully complete the lesson.  Does anyone know some code I could add to the last interaction button to do this?  No navigation is possible in our courses per client request.I know this has been asked before in earlier versions of Captivate and not really answered.  Using Captivate 10.

I'm using the Captivate CC 2017 skin Play button on slides with slide sound and a short object animation effect  (ease-in).Problem:When the slide plays the button shows the pause icon, but after the 1 second animation ends it changes to the play icon while the sound is still playing.  The desired behavior is that it should continue to show pause until the sound or slide is done or the button clicked.Is there a way to do this?  Seems lame to tie the play button to a short animation on a long slide - or am I missing something?

Having a bit of trouble with a seemingly straightforward advanced action. Three stacked Lesson boxes, to be used a buttons. When learner clicks Lesson 1 box/button, Lessons 2 and 3 collapse (Lesson 1 box remains visible) and three images Ease In (these will eventually be used as buttons to dig deeper). For this sample I only have the 3 Lesson boxes and one image (to keep it simple). Image below, including Timeline. The Advanced Action (below) applies 3 effects. The problem: the collapse effects happen on the first click, as intended, but the image ease in requires a second click. An additional detail: the image EaseIn always happens AFTER the collapses, even if I reorder steps and change timing. Note: I have fiddled with Pause intervals for Lesson buttons...no change. Any ideas why the double click might be necessary? Seems like a simple Advanced Action otherwise...

Hello, I am now working on 'adobe captivate 2017(64bit)' in Window 10.  Everything is working alright except tts generation... I received a complete captivate file(including speech) and tried to edit the script, but every time I tried to change it that 'Error occurred while~' message keeps coming up. The complete file was also made through same program(Adobe captivate 2017 64bit). There aren't any punctuations in the script and it can still play the voice of the original file.I even tried it on a blank captivate file and just typed 'hello' and 'hello.' but it still didn't work. All the voices I have are not working.I am desperate for help! ㅠㅠ 

I have a course composed of 3 lessons, designed in Captivate 9 and administered through Cornerstone LMS. I would like the learner to start at a splash screen that lists the 3 lessons, and chooses which to complete next. When learner completes a lesson they are returned to splash screen and a check mark appears on the lesson list to indicate which lesson was completed. This is simple in Captivate if the learner does not leave the course.But let's say the learner does leave the course after completing the first lesson. Upon returning, I would like the course to resume on the splash screen, and for the previous lesson completion information to be retained and displayed (check mark on lesson #1 for example).  Also, if the learner leaves in the middle of, say, lesson #2, and then returns, I would like them to again land at the splash screen. The splash screen now would show that lesson #1 has been completed, and that lesson#2 is partially completed. Learner could then resume lesson #2

Hi,I'm using Captivate 5.5 (Windows) and creating a new project from an MS PowerPoint file.The PowerPoint file features a few corporate standard fonts, a Futura flavor and a Garamond flavor, neither of which are visible in Captivate after import.What are tricks to ensure an import from PowerPoint retains the fonts?Background:As a test, I created a new, single slide .ppt file (using in PowerPoint 2010) with mutliple fonts. The needed corporate standard fonts still didn't import into Captivate correctly, though other fonts had about a 75% success rate. TrueType or Open Type didn't seem to matter. I can't yet see the pattern of those fonts that work, and those that don't.I've successfully created new (native) Captivate projects using the same corporate standard fonts.The end goal is to have an ability to quickly convert content from PowerPoint to trackable courses for our LMS (Oracle/Taleo/Learn).Thank you!

Hello. I need to print a particular slide from a project. I tried the window.print(); command but I receive the printing dialogue and the default is portrait printing, but the users of the course may be not familiar with print so leaving options for them to print is not the best solution.I have tried the Intelligent Print Widget (Intelligent Print Widget for Adobe Captivate | CP Guru - Adobe Captivate Widgets ) and that is the perfect solution for my problem, the only problem is that it does not work on html5. So, I need the same functionality, but to work with HTML5.Hopefully somebody had similar problem and is willing to share his/her experience how to solve this?Thank you.

I recently had Adobe Captivate 9 reinstalled on my computer. When I click the Assets buttons it's only taking me to the elearning brothers site to select assets. I do not have tabs for existing assets or the few characters that come preloaded into Captivate. I even downloaded a character from the site, but I still don't have an assets library. Is there a reason this would be happening? Below is a screenshot of what I am seeing.

I'm using Adobe Captive to convert PowerPoint presentation to HTML5. However each time I do this part of the right side of all the slides get cut off. The resolution is setto 1920 x 1056

Hello,I selected the Assets icon within Captivate 9 and it then automatically downloaded the application: Adobe_eLearning_Asset_LC21 (.exe).  I believe it happened when I selected "Get Free e-Learning Assets". I double-clicked on the application file and then a screen opened to extract files to a defaulted folder (i.e. C:/User/Owner/Desktop/Adobe Elearning Assets). I clicked Next and then it downloaded a folder (...including packages, payloads, resources) as well as an Application called "Setup".  Then when I double-click on "Setup", a dialog box automatically pops up called 'Adobe Installer' which then initializes Installer. Once finished, a dialog box appears called: Adobe Elearning Assets All.  I have attached a screenshot.  What do I do from here?  Am I to click on Install? Am I to keep the location the same yet the files - which included the Setup application -- downloaded to the default folder noted above?  Why does it only include a "

Hello,I recent;y purchased Captivate 9 and am wondering how to download ALL of the Free eLearning Assets and Character Assets at once. Looking around I've seen mention of the Adobe Application Manager, but I believe that's been replaced with the CC app. As of know I have to download everything individually. I'm looking for a faster way. Please help!Thanks,Alex

When I try to download characters from the Free e-learning Assets tab I get a message saying they have downloaded but they don't appear in the selection screen. This started happening last week - before that it was all sweet - able to download , select and insert into my Captivate projects.Also the selection  panel looks like it is full up - if I pull the scroll bar down there is no space for any more character images - shows  15 rows of 7 charactersI'm using Captivate 2017 in a Windows environment.Today the same issue started happening to my work colleague.

I called Adobe Support and their response was confusing, so I'm hoping the community can help me.I am building a module in Captivate 2017 that has a quiz. I want to alter the feedback in the answers so if someone misses it, it provides context. In order to separate the "layers" of feedback from the quiz, I was told I had to turn off the fluid box for the feedback, separate the layers, write the content, realign them, and then turn the fluid box back on.Has anyone figured out another way to do this? I wish the quiz feedback were in layers like the rest of the project so I could simply turn them on and off to alter the content.Thanks in advance!
