Is there a way of saving the scene and replacing the puppet and having them do the exact same movements?

Hi, Please help me with this problem I'm facing. If I toggle my alternate Mouth Group ('Mouth_alt'), it shows only the 'Neutral' Mouth in that group but others dont show up. I have attached the video of the recording and also the photos of the Rig.Thanks in advance!

Hi good afternoon, I write because lately I've been experiencing some issues with Adobe Character Animator. The current version that I have is the 3.3 also I don't use the creative cloud, still I keep getting errors such as the "Unable to open project: repo.noindex" when I just start Adobe Character, try to create a new project or even try to open an already existing "puppet" file. Iv'e tried reinstalling the program but this doesn't seem to help at all. It would be great if you could help me with this situation.

Hi everyone,Im looking for help regarding my issue above. When I select the puppet in the project menu and press on the PS icon, I get sent to Corel paintshop Pro, which does not transfer the layernames making the puppet unusable when I reopen in Character Animator. I have photoshop and would like for the puppet to open there. I have searched in the preferrences whicc only seems to change issues with the "audio hardware", "lip sync", and "live output" options. I need to be able to have the puppet open in photoshop. please help.

How do I toggle between Camera 1 and Camera 2 during recording? I can't find an answer to this anywhere. Basically, I just want to toggle back and forth between two cameras. Having the hardest time finding out how. Or maybe there is a better way to do this? I have two cameras on the timeline. Each gradually zooms in on a different character. I just want to toggle this between the two cameras back and forth over 30 seconds or so.

Hello! I am driving myself to insanity trying to figure out what is wrong with my puppet. She is based on a previous version that had no issues, which of course means nothing in the world of animation. I have tried making the head independent, body independen, making neither independent, making BOTH independent. I am out of ideas. I tried tags, behaviors. I am very new at this so I may just be missing the obvious.

For some reason  my puppet arm keep stretching when I move his arm, I've try everything, I can't find the am Ik. I have latest version or CH (3.4)Thank in advance

hey all, For some reason my alt body is not showing in CH...It was working perfectly..then it just isnt showing..I see it in photoshop...I save the file..CH updates the "eye" is filled in CH to show the layer but nothing?..my other alt bodies work perfect...I have deleted the layer in photoshop and remade/renamed it, but it still doesnt showing up.. Hope that makes sense :P.

Hi, I have a puppet (rigged with the basics for being able to reuse it) that has head profiles and swap faces in place and when I compute lip sync from a new audio file it computes 10 takes of visemes, which in turn are very hard to manipulate when I want to make a change. Am I going wrong somewhere? There must be an easier way to have just one take of visemes from audio and have the puppet lip syncing when turning head to profiles too. Because I`ve tried just adding lip sync behaviour to frontal only with one take of visemes, but then when I need profile view lip sync does not work. Any suggestions to make this easier to work with?Much appreciated in advance,Alex

I know how to create moving backgrounds when a character walks. That is a well covered topic. I have recently come upon a situation, that is slightly different for my next upcoming episode. I have this background , that has a water/river effect created using Adobe After effects (mirror+fractal approach). https://youtu.be/b68RGExIhzs I am wondering how to import this into character animator. 1)As a puppet? or 2)maybe a cycle layer(is this hack possible), so that it acts as the background for my next episode. Is there a way to do it in Character Animator. The reason I want to do that is because: Camera feature in Character Animator is reallyconvenient to work with.  For example once this background is somehow imported in Character Animator. I then can proceed to record my puppets perform, as well as use the Camera in Character Animator, to zoom in, our pan etc etc.

im running a zoom q2n webcam setup, the webcam shows itself in obs and other softwares however i can only get the audio from the camera (dedicated camera mic) in ch animator with no camera options being available, the same camera works on my laptop in ch animator but not on my desktop, have tried different versions but to no avail, please let me know what could be causing this,i tried droidcam aswell and it doesnt work either, how can i confirm it is a windows related problem?

I was able to change the right hand for default, point and flip. When I went to change the left hand the point and flip were detached from the arm in animator but not detached in illustrator. So it looked correct in one but not the other. Then, as I was making adjustments to the left hand trying to correct the issue I go back to the animator rigging screen and the right arm is detached. Anyone have any thoughts? I have included some screetshots to show what I am seeing. Thank you.

How will the UI for Character Animator look on a 32 inch 4k monitor? If it's too small is there anyway to scale just the UI tools and text but not the puupet canvas and movie frame.Thank you

I tried customizing a blank puppet in CA and while I was editing the AI file, the left arm stopped being draggable. The Right arm moves fine, but how can I fix this rig? // Also my pupils double up only on the left eye? Does anyone know why? (I am desperately in need of help since I need to figure this out for a school project 😞 )

I am looking for better tutorials so I can learn this program. I am already a FPCX, Photo Shot and Illustrator advanced user and I got this way by doing the tutorials so why are these so very limited and short?

These are my Medie Encoder specs:Hardware Encoding (Intel Quicksync) enabled.NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1050  (Mercury playback Hardware Acceleration OpenCL enabled)I have SSD+1TB hard drive comobo for storate. As an experiement, I tried encoding a 7 minute , 40 second video, at a low Media 720p format. It says that the estimated time will be 2 hours to encode this small video. I have attacked my task manager screenshot for reference. Can someone help me so as to what I need to do to accelerate the encoding process.  I really want to be able to encode my 10 minute videos in like 1-2 minutes if possible at 4k resolution.  It currently takes me 4 hours to fo 4k videos of 8 minutes. With my current specs. Thanks  Also I see very low Integrated GPU utilization. I was assuming the Encoders get a boost for H.264 content via Intel Quick Sync. More workload shared between CPU and Discrete GPU. Also, why am i getting OPENCL, instead of CUDA suppor for my

I was developing my character from 3 days and i completed it yesterday. When i trided to export it it showed error at first (x64) a well known issue with versions of character animator. I solved it up characterby updating character animator after i  did that the real problem occours. I imported character in CH. The parts which i have applied draw inside were missing. Sometimes  few parts were fine which i used draw inside but few are just showing shadows i created.

Hi, I've been using Character Animator, it is a great product.   I was looking at the specs, to see what I could do to make my machines performance better.  The specs state that OpenGL 3.2 or higher is being used by Character Animator. My question now is: 1. Will I get performance benefits by just using my Integrated GPUS in my CPU. Or2. Does having a Discrete Graphics Card, add any performance benefits while using Character Animator. Thanks

I am currently using a grossly under powered laptop with 8gb ram and struggling thru producing my Character Animator workflow. I would like suggestions on what would be a great build for Character Animator + other Adobe creative cloud applications going forward. This is my general plan.CPU: Latest one probably Tigerlake from Intel. RAM: How much RAM do i need, is there a point of diminishing returns. Or do Adobe Apps use as much RAM that is thrown at them.  I was thinking of 64GB,  heck even 128GB or more if the applications really can benefit from them. GPU.  Do Adobe products use GPU based acceleration in their applications?....   I was thinking of saving some cash by not getting a GPU.  Is it really needeed for the Adobe Applications. Or are all Adobe products CPU intensive and don't need GPU? I am more performance centric, so I want to know, if the choices above would be sufficient to get a smoother experience. Also one bi

In May I followed the steps to creat a puppet in animator using artwork from illustrator. I have not had a chance to come back to it until now. I can access the puppet in illustrator however, I don't know how to open it in animator. Can someone walk me through this please? Thank you.

Hi there - Is there a way to control just the head scale in a puppet so that I create a controller to allow me to manually make the head bigger/smaller WITHOUT using camera input on the Face behavior?  I'd like to link head scaling to a pitch wheel on a MIDI keyboard and I can't figure out how to do that.  I know I could scale the entire puppet this way with the Transform behavior, but I really just want to scale the head to emphasize certain parts of the dialog.

When I do a "compute lip sync" for a puppet, I normally wind up correcting it here and there for more precision. After that, I'd like to re-use that same corrected timeline viseme for other puppets. How do I do this? Bob

Hi. I have created a character from a drawing and now when i move my head the right arm follows the body movement while the left one stays put. I have hopefully added my files to the drop down below i cant really see whats in there

Is there any way to navigate character Animator's scene timeline in a similar fashion to premiere pro(PP) or after effects(AE)?Such as keyboard shortcuts for frame by frame scrubbing or entering a frame number/timecode? Currently, I am working on a scene(AC) that is used in a few comps(AE) which are then arranged in premiere sequence. I have few things in animator that need match the exact frame timing.
