Hello,   We are using LDAP connectivity strings to connect to the database instead of using Hostnames. In the ColdFusion Admin settings page I am unable to find a place where I can enter this information. Is there any way I can do this ?   I tried entering the LDAP string in the Advanced setings page but it did not work. Or LDAP server settings are similar to the one shown below. LDAP Server : oid1.city.ca:389:636Context : dc=city,dc=caDBService: pctestD     I dont want to use LDAP directly on my pages as this may require a lot of modification. Instead I would like to define LDAP Database connectivity using the LDAP settings, please advice. ThanksIQ 

I created coldfusion applications in coldfusion developer version but when I moved the applications in Coldfusion 2018 Enterprise server, the applications don't work. Do I need to configure the Coldfusion 2018 Enterprise server?  If so,what do I need to do. I need your help. Error message:An error occurred while executing the application. Please try again or contact the administrator.

Hi dev, I'm using CF2018. Here I've tried to use writeToBrowser action in cfimage tag. It's working fine while run via webroot but it's not working ( Image disaplyed as blank in browser ) while I'm using virtual host. Hi,Just installed CFBuilder 2018 on Windows 10 64bit. install correctly, builtin Coldfusion 2018 also installed correctly. the problem is when goto Data Source in CFAdmin, it does not let me configure MSAccess datasource. Microsoft Access is visiable in dropdown, when I press Add then it gives me this error line. "The ColdFusion ODBC Server service is not running or has not been installed. You may also use the "MS Access with Unicode" driver to connect to MS Access datasources." it saying "ODBC Service is not running". when i goto windows services list there is not coldfusion services are available. not even ColdFusion Application. what should I do?

ColdFusion v11,0,10,300066Oracle v12.01.00.02Has anyone worked with setting up Oracle datasources utilizing Oracle Wallets?  cwallet.sso? Auto login.  I have successfully implemented it in Java applications where I am able to create and provide a set of properties to the JDBC connection method, in addition to some other configuration. The CFIDE Administrator Data Sources GUI does not appear to give me the option to implement Wallets.  Is there a way to configure them directly?  Any help would be greatly appreciated!Thanks!

Hello, all, For the last several months, I've been working on code that was written many, many moons ago by someone who left for greener fields back in 2013 or 2014.  It is chock full of one of my pet-peeves: isDefined(). So, I'm cringing everytime I look at this code with isDefined() all over the place.  After several months, I've decided:  Every current CF dev at my work knows StructKeyExists() and even (like me) prefers it.  I finally decided to do something about it, and I'm sharing it for anyone who is interested. We use Dw, here, but this will work in any IDE that has a RegEx Find/Replace.  // Find and replace isDefined("{scope}. with StructKeyExists({scope}," FIND: isdefined\(\s*(['"])\s*(url|variables|server|cgi)\. Guys, I'm going to mark this one as solved. In reviewing a previous thread I launched on this, once again, I followed Nancy_OShea's advice from 2/21 to reset my DW preferences. And that produces a working DW site with DW's live view displaying my site properly. I was away from my computer for a week and a half, and my previously defined site was simply not there when I returned today. This, obviously, is a completely different issue. My apologies for not reviewing my previous questions/solutions on the forum so as to avoid unnecessary threads. Many thanks for your replies.John

Hello. I have updated Coldfusion 9 to 2018 on a Windows 2016 server with IIS 10 installed. For some reason I am now not able to access any of my pages. I get a 401.3 error. I have added IUSR, IIS_USR, Default App pool to the permissions of the folder of the page. Also I have enabled anonymous login as well and still get the 401.3 error. I am at a loss to what is different. 

Thanks to Charlie's blog and Pete's tweet, we have another hidden gem in ColdFusion (2018 release).  ColdFusion (2018 release) imports environment variables into the server scope. For instance, <cfscript> writeDump(server.system.environment) </cfscript> The snippet above returns a struct that contains environment variables. ColdFusion (2018 release) also imports Java system properties. For instance, <cfscript> writeDump(server.system.properties) </cfscript> The snippet above returns a struct that contains Java system properties. Pete has also documented these scopes in the cfdocs site.

Has anyone tried to use Azure AD, IIS with ColdFusion to authenticate users? Our user is external to our network and remote in via a pulse secure portal pulse secure looks up the users in a security group which is an Azure AD, They are then given link(s) to our internal apps. currently, I have to add their accounts local to the servers for then to even get to the site. without that the server rejects the log in a 401 error. I have added the security group to the server and tried different things, I even contacted Microsoft to see if they had any thoughts, they only said that I should be doing the auth at the app level, but I don't think we even get to the site. it's not even making past IIS so if anyone has some insight on how to set up an azure ad on a windows machine running ColdFusion and IIS, please drop a line. oh, these are some legacy CF apps. I really don't want to alter the code to make this work if I don't have to.

Hi, we recently upgraded our websites to a new server with coldfusion 2016 (old server coldfusion 9). We are running into strange behaviour. Coldfusion becomes unresponsive after running for several days (sometimes within a day). And even more strange, sometimes our webpages do respond normally but the coldfusion administrator returns blank pages.The administrator 'sometimes' gives the following message 'Error invoking CFC /CFIDE/administrator/updates/download.cfc : Metaspace [Enable debugging by adding 'cfdebug' to your URL parameters to see more information]' We are trying multiple things to solve these problems but we have not been succesfull. Currently we monitor our server every 5 minutes and when it becomes unresponsive we do a quick restart. Any thoughts what might cause this strange behaviour? Kind regards Thijs

My application is storing orderdata, including ‘DateOfDelivery’ - DoD, in a database (local).I wish to use DoD  to calculate the corresponding weeknumber and found a method (se printout).When the function is called from onClick getElementById id=”week” is updated with correct weeknumber -  but the result is only displayed.  I want to capture the value and save it in the database. Hello,I am trying to consume a webservice an set it up as per all the documentation I could find but I am getting errors like:Unable to read WSDL from URL: URL.asmx?WSDL I have rewritten the URL a few different waysremove the s from https,remove the ?WSDLRemove the https//: (different error)  But nothing seems to work.  The consensus is that it is a URL error but I can't think of what to do next.   I can hit the URL through my browser no problems and I can get the service to work in SOAP UI and Boomerang.  I just can't get it to work through the CF page I created. Any guidance is appreciated, thank you.  

So I'd like to start by saying the website tied to the IIS connector that is pointed to this instance of coldfusion is working and responding as normal.  So I'm not in an outage mode per say.. But I cannot access CFadministrator with the designated port as usual.  I get the login screen as normal and when i type it in it refreshes with all blue screen (same color as the background of the login screen) and does nothing. Chrome reports Failed to load resource: net::ERR_INCOMPLETE_CHUNKED_ENCODING.   All other instances of coldfusion are working correctly and i can pull up the cfadministrator for all of those just fine.    Another symptom is fusion reactor doesnt seem to want to work on that instance either.  All corrisponding pages clicks result in a blank page.   Its as if anything going through the built in webserver is getting stuck some how.  The iis connectors seem to be fine and working correctly.    I currrently cann

I have an issue with CFCHART that I am hoping to get resolved. Back in February I noticed that our cfchart will not produce a chart if the format = png or jpg. Only html format would produce a chart. I came to forums looking for a solution and found this thread (CFCHARTformat=png image not loading on browser ). I had our server admin change the cf chart cache type setting from disk to memory and then voila! - the png and jpg charts started to work as expected. After this most recent release/update it seems the CFCHART is no longer working. After some minor debugging I found that we are back at square one with charts only being generated if the format is HTML. I was thinking maybe changing the cache back to disk and attempt to check permissions to make sure nothing is blocking the CFFILESERVLET Mapping but the issue is that I do no have access to the server/server settings. I will have to communicate with a server admin on the exact steps to take to check these permissions/settings. I w

I'm using  CF2016 on a Windows computer. There are third-party info graphic plug-ins like extendstudio. But the information has to be hard coded into instead of being dynamic. Coldfusion has its own charting capabilities but I'm looking for an open source, responsive infographic plug-in or software that I can load my <cfoutput> data in so that the info graphic plug-in can interpret it to produce charts and graphs. Does anybody know of any open source software I can do that for coldfusion?

I'm using Coldfusion 2018 and I have created a cluster scheduled task in the cfadmin, however the task is not showing up in the administrative console. I can see it in the cluster database however so I'm sure if I'm doing something wrong or if this is a bug. Any help is appreciated.

We are migrating from Coldfusion 11 to Coldfusion 2018. We are migrating from/to same server. After the running the installation, the install hangs at the importing settings. Have anyone seen this issue before. Hi, I just installed Cold Fusion 2018 Enterprise Edition on an existing VM server running Windows Server 2012 R2.  This is my staging server and already has a working copy of Cold Fusion 11 Enterprise edition which is working fine. I installed the 2018.0.0.2 version for Windows 64. Afterwards, I installed each of the 7 hotfixes in order, and rebooted between each install.My Cold Fusion administrator works correctly in that I can log on, and view the different screens.  My database server is running MS SQL Server 2017.I imported all of my settings from my Cold Fusion 11 server, and I can click on the Verify checkbox of my SQL Server datasource and the status is returned as OK. However, when I try to run my existing Cold Fusion application, I get an error as soon as my application reaches the first query.  The error in application.log is: "Error","ajp-nio-8018-exec-1","02/13/20","14:40:12",PEApplication,"java/sql/Connection The specific sequen
