Hello,I have read that the Api Manager helps with security. As I understand it that people will connect to the api manager endpoint and is authenticated. Then the request is passed over to my API. Is this correct?How is security handled between the api manager and my api? do I just hide my api server non web accessible so it only accepts request from the api manager?That part is still foggy to me.Thank You,Randy
I am facing problem with size in generated PDF is not same with the sample HTML. HelloWe have a lot of pages encoded with iso-8859-1. CFBuilder Beta 1-3 was able to show the correct encoding (specified in project properties > resources > text file ecoding). Although we changed the settings in project properties and in preferences (general > workspace > text file encoding > other > iso-8859-1), cfbuilder opens every single page with utf-8. it's possible to change it for every page under page properties (or edit > set encoding), but this is a really big efford... it's also a little bit strange, because the set-encoding-menu shows "Determined from content: UTF-8" by default, although there are a lot of iso-8859-1 encoded characters inside (ä/ö/ü in our comments).Any idea?Thanx,Patrick

Hello,I recently upgraded ColdFusion 10 to ColdFusion 2016. We are a small installation, and use ColdFusion Developer Edition. Even though CF 2016 is clearly running and working fine, the display block at the top of the screen still displays "ColdFusion 10". I installed with JEE. Anyone know how I can fix this so it reflects the actual ColdFusion release?Thanks

Is there a way in ColdFusion to fill an existing pdf fields from web form entries.
I'm trying to get CF11 installed on my local MacBook running OSX. After running the installer, and selecting to use an Apache as the external web server - I'm able to get to the CF Administrator.127.0.0.1/CFIDE/administrator/index.cfm (OK)I've confirmed that this is pointing to:/Applications/ColdFusion11/cfusion/wwwwoot/CFIDE/Created a test page at /Applications/ColdFusion11/cfusion/wwwwoot/CFIDE/test.cfm (works fine)127.0.0.1/CFIDE/test.cfm (OK)However .... any other directory EXCEPT for CFIDE either shows no permissions or file not found./Applications/ColdFusion11/cfusion/wwwwoot/some_other_directoy/test.cfm127.0.0.1/some_other_directoy/test.cfm127.0.0.1/wwwroot/test.cfmBoth show what I'm guessing is the Apache page for a 404.Not FoundThe requested URL /test.cfm was not found on this server.********I 've tried:updating httpd.conf located at: /etc/apache2/httpd.conf with various suggested settings for CFcreate "mappings" via the CF admin (they don't work)-----------
Around 8 years ago, I developed a Flash application for our company. I compiled it into an exe and it sits on our SBS2008 server. It connect to CF9 via CFC's and has a MYSQL db as it's data source, both of which reside on the same server. There are 5 or 6 workstations which use the application via a shortcut to the exe file.This has been working quite happily without change until recently when, for some as yet unknown reason(s), it failed with NullPointExceptions. After trying for some days to get it going, I had no choice but to re-install using CF9.02. I configured it as a developer edition and all seemed fine but then it pops up the exceeding license message.OK, we've been doing well in not having to pay a license fee all this time but I'm curious as to how CF9 knows about different IP addresses when it is being accessed by a single application on the same server (127.0.0.1).
The trial download link is totally broken. Does anyone at Adobe know or care?
Installed ColdFusion11 and IIS8. And the site is configured on IIS8, site working fine. But all of a sudden it started giving Error 503, verified the services it was running, log doesn't not describe any error. Restarted the ColdFusion Instance but no use the site still doesn't respond.

I get the following error when trying to upload a Word doc with my CF based api. This is not a MIME type I recognize for Word docs, so an error gets thrown by my code. File type(application/x-tika-ooxml) is not supported. This happens only for all Microsoft Office files. I believe it has something to do with CF's fileGetMimeType() function. Below is my code for uploading. Any thoughts on why I'm getting the above mime type, and if there is a way around it? I'm running CF2016(adobe 2016.0.05+303689). I'm using the CFWheels framework, but this has occurred with bare CF too. We are trying to interface with Exchange 2016 using the EWS. The documentation for EWS is awful, very little information from both MS and CF. In particular, we would like to get a library to interface with emails and calendars. Something similar to this:http://www.independentsoft.com/index.htmlBut for ColdFusion, complete with examples. It has been a known fact that in older versions of ColdFusion you could not use the CASE WHEN THEN statements inside a query of queries like you can in a SQL query to a database.Has this changed for CF2016?What about the use of IF and ELSE-IF and ELSE statements in a query of queries?We are using MS SQL Server.
I've been following the documentation here: Adobe ColdFusion API Manager Administrator ...and trying to establish a working connection to our existing users and roles tables. I was able to get a store added to the list, but the option of adding users to this store seems to be disabled, and attempts to search (for an existing user to add) only produces a generic failed message with no logged counterpart.The API Manager provided by our hosting firm must be different than the one documented in the link above. Tabs like "Connection" do not contain fields that are mentioned in the documentation (JDBC Driver, JDBC Connection URL and so forth), and other tabs may contain fields that the documentation doesn't mention.I suspect a version issue, but this UI does not contain the "Update" button/link for my account - so I cannot share which version they installed or how to fix this.Are there any manual updating steps to follow, or should I have the hosting firm contact somebody there for a resolut
Using the CF API Manager Portal, I've added a new API by importing a cfc - using the "Create REST API From SOAP" tool.I would like to remove it now, but cannot see any button in the Edit screen or elsewhere to do so.How do I delete an API from the catalog?Could it be a permissions issue? I see that this UI does not provide the "Update" link mentioned elsewhere.Thanks,Al
Hello,We are trying to setup a ODBC connection to an Iseries and we keep getting an error message when testing the connection. I have contacted coldfusion support and them had me change the port number but we still get that same error. We have contacted IBM and they have had us run trace routes to see if we could find the holdup but they dont even see the connection reach the DB. Has anyone else experienced this issue or know of a solution?
We just had a new client start using our site and when they upload their TIFF files to us and my system tries to convert them to a PDF I receive this error:"Unsupported combination of photometric interpretation, samples per pixel, and bit depth. "Yet when we have our customer service team go in and manually convert and merge them using Acrobat Pro it does so with no problems. Has anyone seen this or have any idea's on how to possibly fix it before pushing back against our client to change their files?Thanks,Colin
Hello,I was given access to a fresh install of CF 2016 Enterprise on windows.I went to checkout the api manager and I do not see it anywhere in CFadmin.I did find the one adobe install page which has screenshots of a separate installer but cannot find the installer anywhere.I also found the apimanager addon service installer but that doesn't look like it is the right file to get started.What am I missing?Thanks!RandyH
Hi everyone, I have single page app and I'm wondering what would be better way to logout user from the system. There is two ways that I have explored one is JQuery/Ajax that will call the function and wait to receive the response. Then base on response I will either redirect user to Login page or show an error to the user if exist. Second example is JQuery/Ajax will call the function then I will use cflocation to redirect user to the login page. However both methods have some wired errors for example first example few times throw JavaScript error for some reason. I couldn't find anything that caused that. Second example does not redirect user to the login page. Instead sits on the page where user was before logout process that is wrong. We are running Coldfusion 2016, this issue was not present in Coldfusion 9 which we upgraded from.I am using a basic CFGRID on my page that is getting loaded from a query. I am using the tag based method to code my page.One item in the query is an HREF link that brings the user to another page with info specific to that row. The dataset being passed to the cfgrid can be large.My issue is when the CFGrid become longer than the page. The grid displays fine but when I scroll lower than the first row when the row, or link, is clicked the page just jumps to the top of the CFGRID. The selected row is highlighted, but the link isn't activated.There is nothing special to my cfgrid tag or my gridcolumn tags.
