Coldfusion 2023, latest updates.We are getting vulnerability hits from our internal scanning tools because Directory Listing is possible on our servers installed with the Development Profile. Turning off directory browsing in IIS does not work.The Production Profile servers do not have this issue. Which makes sense according to these docs: https://helpx.adobe.com/coldfusion/installing/understanding-coldfusion-server-profiles.html We don't need directory listing. But I cannot find a way to disable it. The link above says you cannot change the profile, but you can change the settings. Is there a way to do this in CFAdmin? Or in a settings file somewhere?

We have setup Coldfusion 2021 on a Linux 8 server. The installion is protected via F5(firewall).Is there any document which shows which url's and ports to open in the firewall so we are able to download and update patches from Admin console and carry out other Admin stuff?So far, I have requested the following to be opened *.fusionreactor.io*.adobe.com*.deploy.akamaitechnologies.com Anything more needed to be opened at firewall level?  

We have ColdFusion 2018 on Windows 2019 and are upgrading to ColdFusion 2023. Is it better to de-install CF2018 and then install CF2023, or just install CF2023 over CF2018? 

Well folks while I'm waiting to resolve the html data field validation bug, I started working on collections. In CF 4.51 I have 6 collections.  3 of them are:TEN_Apps_agTEN_Apps_hoTEN_Apps_pzBasically, these are populated with .txt files while were extracted from resumes with the following formats:  .doc, .docx, .html, .txt resumes.  There are 20,000 + or -  files in each of them. I am only able to index the folder ending in ho.  And it only contains 8,396 documents.  Whereas the folder contains 19,385 .txt files.  I presume CF2023 collection should contain 19,385 documents? The other two folders bomb out when I try to index them resulting in zero documents being populated in the corresponding collections.  I have checked the source folders and they only contain .txt files.  Thus, I have no clue as to why the processing fails. It would require far less code changes, were we able to use our current collection scheme and si

Hello, Is the online video curriculum for the Adobe CF Specialist certification/coursework from a few years ago the same online video curriculum that is used with the newer Adobe Certified Professional: Adobe ColdFusion? I've purchased both expecting an update, on the videos but am told both certifications use the same video curriculum. I'm not complaining - Damien and Nolan's videos are great - but I was expecting some updates to reflect new versions of ColdFusion. Thanks.

I have a running website and inside WEB-INF > lucee there is a folder called cfcclasses. In it, I got something like this: What for is this? How is it generated and is it required? As you can see I also got bellow 3 more folders with some context and library. I have no idea why this folder contains contact_us when it is no longer used. 

I am locking down a new CF 2023 installation using the autolockdown application but am getting an error when I enter the administrator credentials which I have triple-checked as being correct. My client has the enterprise version of CF running on the live server - with the API manager running there.We developers run our own development editions of CF, and use change and source control to send the code live.However, the only version of API Manager we can find are trials - which stop running after 30 days.Is there a developer edition somewhere? How are we supposed to develop and test our potential changes to API Manager methods and functions outside the live service??Thanks in advance,Al Holden

I am trying to establish a LDAP connection (<cfldap>) from within a Docker image of Coldfusion 2021. It would be hard to post any relavent code here simply because it would expose our AD tree, however, the same code I am trying to run works just fine from an installed copy of CF2021 on a linux server.The reason for using a Docker image (vs. install) in this instance, is an attempt to setup a local development environment. So far, everything seems to be working great with the exception of LDAP calls. The error I'm getting:An error has occurred while trying to execute query :Could not resolve a valid ldap host  Note: I have successfully run a ldapsearch call from a bash shell within the container.

I installed fresh version of CF2021 on Centos 7 to do some testing. I also installed mod_jk connectorsudo ./wsconfig -ws Apache -bin /usr/sbin/httpd -script /usr/sbin/apachectl -dir /etc/httpd/conf/ -v I noticed this file that was created: mod_jk_vhost.confI have not see that before for some reason, is this file purpose just to organize/separate mod_jk.confoptions or does it have some other purpose? In another words, do I have to use it in CF2021 Update 12? thanks  

We are using JRE that came with ColdFusion 2021 on Centos 7 From CF admin settings:Java Version 11.0.7Java Vendor Oracle CorporationJava Vendor URL https://openjdk.java.net/Java Home /../coldfusion2021/jre Does JRE get the updates when the Coldfusion 2021 patches are applied (Update 1-12) or do the CF admins typically have to manually patch JRE?  

I'm trying to use the scan command for cfpm (on a Windows machine).  I have taken the following steps:Opened the command promptEntered the collowing command: c:\ColdFusion2021\cfusion\bin\cfpmAt the ensuing cfpm prompt entered the command: scan c:\path\to\applicationI get the following error message:Incorrect usage of scan command. It must be scan CODEBASEPATH CFSERVERURL. The "c:\path\to\application" is correct and exists.  I am issuing the scan command from the cfpm prompt.  Any suggestions why I am receiving this error would be helpful. Thanks

I have a cfm page that list employees reporting to a manager. The manager can drill down on employee ID to see more info about the employee and can update some information. I set a session variable to capture the employee ID when manager selects a particular employee. Now if the same manager opens a second tab/window on the same browser and opens the same app select a second employee the session variable gets overwritten with the second employee ID. How can i keep the value of both session variables separate? Any help is highly appreciated. Thanks.

I had to upgrade to a new computer, meaning everything started over (UGH!!!) I installed CF2023 and have been working through each problem I run into (hat tip to Dave Byers for helping me with SQL connection). Anyway, my most recent issue is that some stylesheets, not all which is perplexing, can't be found. They're in the folders, I've refreshed my cache, I've even re-downloaded files from the live server, but no change. Same with some images. I find ideas for older versions of CF, one talking about how it's IIS, but not being a server person, they're all greek to me. Any idea what might be causing this and how I can resolve it?

I assume that QueryGetResult is meant to be paired with QueryExecute, to get the same thing you would get from the result="..." attribute of <cfquery>. But the only thing I ever use that for is to get the generated_key after an insert, and that doesn't work because QueryExecute returns null on an insert, so I don't have an object I can pass to QueryGetResult. The author of the documentation page on QueryGetResult doesn't seem to be trying to explain what it's good for. There are just some apparently random examples of SELECT queries where the result object doesn't tell you anything new. There's a bug report (CF-4217809) about that documentation page already, from someone who had expectations very different from mine, but was also not helped by the short list of unmotivated examples. There are plenty of other ways to do a query and get a generated_key, so this isn't a major obstacle. After installing Update 2 for ColdFusion 2021, calls to cfreport with a .cfr template are erroring out with "Report compilation error." I can't see any other details. These reports have been working flawlessly for years. Any ideas how to resolve this?

I have installed coldfusion in my machine recently. The thing is that my cfm files are not recognising the classes of the linked style sheets though I have given the correct path of the location of css file. Also it couldn't recognise <img src=""> tag to display an image. Please help me out to solve this issue.
