I just received an email from Godaddy that they'll no longer support Coldfusion hosting on their servers within a couple of months. Finito. All coldfusion websites on godaddy will have to be taken down.For me, this is a huge burden, because I have several sites that I now have to find hosting for and waste all this time to configure again onto some other server. What about people who have businesses running on Coldfusion??I'm sad by this. I mean, Godaddy is one of, if not, THE largest hosting company. For them to just trash coldfusion is bad sign for me.I always worried after making the decision to use coldfusion that it would be put away someday due to its small audience. This worries me. What do you guys think of this?

Coldfusion 2016 install completes with the expected one non-fatal error (wsconfig connector). Once I fix that, I can open the Migration Wizard login page (http://localhost:8500/CFIDE/Administrator/index.cfm), but password fails repeatedly. I've tried running passwordreset.bat and restarting the services, to no avail. I've done this exact upgrade on 3 different servers with zero issues, but this one is making me bang my head against the desk.

Was going to try to use Coldfusion once again.  I used to use Dreamweaver to develop the apps but now it's cloud only.  NO THANKS!! Other option seems to be CFBuilder 2018 but free trial download page collect my info and then nothing.   Is there a better local solution for developing CF apps? AND IS COLDFUSION REALLY STILL ALIVE??? It seems DEAD to me!! Thanks

I have installed ColdFusion 2021 Update 2 throught the admin UI on two systems now. One development and one testing. In both cases, after installing the update I was greeted with the following message... After reinstalling the administrator UI as sugguested by the message, I login and can see that none of the other packages I had previously installed were still installed. I then had to manually install each of the packages again. These systems were built using the 32-bit zip installer on Windows Server 2019. The server was installed into C:\ColdFusion and the instance is C:\ColdFusion\cfusion. Once installed, the packages were all installed using the cfpm.bat file and restoring the contents of an export taken previously. The settings were then all restored using the cfsetup.bat file. Maybe something with the install location of C:\ColdFusion or me using the cfsetup.bat or cfpm.bat to configure the systems originally cause the update to do it? In any case. After the packa

Recently I came across a problem when it was using the first name column A instead of the prefered name column F. Hey Folks, We store timezone IDs from java.util.TimeZone, and now we want to use them with SQL Server (2019)'s AT TIMEZONE function. The problem is, the Java name for the timezone is not the same as the name SQL server wants.  For example, we store the timezone ID from Java 'Australia/Adelaide'. We can get the full name via java.util.TimeZone.getTimeZone('Australia/Adelaide').getDisplayName(), which returns 'Australian Central Standard Time (South Australia)'.  But.... SQL Server wants 'Australian Central Standard Time' and throws an error when using the string returned from Java. --- this works select datetime AT TIME ZONE 'Pacific Standard Time' AT TIME ZONE 'Australian Central Standard' AS datetime_TimeZone -- this fails select datetime AT TIME ZONE 'Pacific Standard Time' AT TIME ZONE 'Australian Central Standard Time (South Australia)' AS datetime_TimeZone Note, our dates are stored in PST and there is no way to easily change that now.

We run a website on a subdomain (mysite.abc.com) while other parties within our company operate various other websites on the main domain and other subdomains (www.abc.com, anothersite.abc.com, etc.). Our site is ColdFusion-based, as are a few of (but not all of) the other abc.com websites.We started to encounter recently a problem in which our users key their log in information into our log in page and click submit only to have the page refresh. No failed log in attempt, just a page refresh. I have seen the issue primarily in Firefox, but I believe this is just because our users perfer that browser. I am unable to recreate the problem on my end, but then again I rarely use Firefox and don't often visit the abc.com websites outside of our own.The only fix that seems to work is to clear the browser's cookies entirely, or if the user objects to that, just the cookies for "abc.com". Doing so lets the user log back into our website (again, at mysite.abc.com) fine. I do not have to clear th

I need to programmatically flatten AEM pdf's. I've searched the other posts here and do not see a solution to my need.  Per the other responses though, I want to add that I am NOT trying to lock down or protect the documents from editing by flattening them. We maintain a local master copy of the documents, so integrity is not the goal.  My need is simply to insure that the live data, watermarks, and signature images in the documents are visible in my end result when the user views the pdf in Chrome's built in pdf reader for example. I can achieve this manually by opening the pdf in Adobe Reader and printing to a pdf (going thru a print to pdf printer driver), but I need a programmatic solution do do this on the fly after my webpage has constructed the document and filled it with data and signatures that I capture.  cfpdf flatten function does not support LiveCycle and AEM documents... Thanks in advance!

Hi all,So I have data with numeric values and also alphabets (mix of both) to diplay on the barchart X-axis. Like 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 A B C D E F G H I J ... etc...The problem is - The numeric values on X-axis data on Bar chart is being converted to Alphabets,  and displaying all alpabets..Looks like the datatype I need to specify it somewhere so that It reads it right. Hello everyone, I am trying to exchange data, via a REST service I wrote with a 3rd party.  We are using AES Symmetric encryption, which means I need to get an IV and a SALT from a large hexadecimal encoded string, and use that SALT (with a shared password) to generate the apprpriate key to decrypt the message part of the hexadecimal string.  My problem is coming with converting the hexadecimal string into a readable SALT.Here is my current code designed to read the hexadecimal string.  You will notice that I am merely taking pieces of the string off (as the representative characters of the bytes represented) using Left and Mid.  I then attempt to binaryEncode the strings as hex, and then I binaryDecode them as base64.  While this produces a SALT that is of the same character lenght as the correct SALT, it does not produce the correct SALT.What would be the correct way to decode a hexadecimal string to extract an IV + SALT + Message in a way that I can con

I write a lot of apps that interact with external APIs.  Often times the data returned by 3rd parties is a deeply nested structure of data - and occasionally the 3rd party isn't reliable enough to send consistent response structures so I need to check for the existence of structure keys to avoid errors (frustrating, I know). Here's an example of what several response objects might look like from the same API  { // Response sample 1: apiResponse: { data: { errors: [ "surname is invalid" ] } } // Response sample 2: apiResponse: { error: "The system is currently offline" } // Response sample 3: apiResponse: { data: { name: [ "john smith" ] } } } When I digest the data, I check the `apiResponse` for the existence of keys and sub keys before processing.  However, it can be pretty tedious from a coding perspective to write out expressions that check for the existence of every single sub-key like this:&nbsp

Hello,We are trying to upgrade from ColdFusion 11 to ColdFusion 2016.  During the migration, we had two errors:"Error","Could not import your ColdFusion Runtime settings. - The current user is not authorized to invoke this method.""Error","Could not import your ColdFusion Scheduled Tasks. - Advance Scheduling support is not available in this edition of ColdFusion serverI'm not too concerned about the Scheduled Tasks because we only have one that was a 'one time' task and now it's in the past.  However, I'm not sure what is included in 'Runtime settings' so I am hesitant to just try and start using the new ColdFusion without knowing what did not get migrated correctly.We tried running as administrator and that did not solve the problem.  How can we resolve the 'Runtime settings' error?Thanks in advance for any help.

I don't see a windows install file for coldfusion 2021, but supported platforms says "All"

I need to build  an electronically signed PDF application to replace a Docusign type product that we currently use. I know starting with CF10 that with CF10+  that I could create an electronically signed PDF. Have there been any updates to CF that have come after CF10 that  would make creating ann electronically signed PDF application easier to build and maintain? Can anyone point me to where someone has done work on something like this?

Hello, Just wondering whats the best way to handle an unsupported locale. We cater for a number of locales which are all supported but we now have need for Urdu but this isn't in the list of supported locales on our server. Has anyone ran into similair issues and how did they solve it? We're passing the locale to lsDateFormat and similar functions around the system, how can we get these working without errors? Thanks
