Question

I can only have one Adobe application in my login items at a time. Why?

I just upgraded my OS to Ventura (from Catalina). Previously, I had InDesign, Photoshop, and Acrobat as login items, and all opened up fine. Now, I can only have one... the newly upgraded system booted out Photoshop and Acrobat, and kept InDesign. I repeatedly tried to add the other two (both from the Dock and through System Settings), but they refused to respond. So I removed all the login items and tried Photoshop. It popped up, but wouldn't allow me to re-add InDesign. I repeated the process with Acrobat. Same thing. Is anyone else experiencing this?

I have the same problem. I've read the suggested posts listed below, but they don't really address the issue. I have yet to find a solution.

it sounds like you need to re-assign the programs you want to open on start-up.

Eric, thanks for your question about using Adobe applications on macOS Ventura. Please see https://community.adobe.com/t5/download-install-discussions/using-adobe-apps-and-services-under-macos-13-ventura/td-p/13292892 where several important updates on this topic have been shared, including the usage of login items under the most recent release of macOS.

Please update this public discussion if you have any additional questions. You may need to make a choice or change your workflow, as suggested by Kglad, due to the added security Apple has put in place for the usage of background processes.

These articles didn't really address the problem. Is there a solution or isn't there? How can we get more than one Adobe app into our Login Items list?

I forgot to add... I can manually open all the programs from the Dock, so this a minor problem at best. Just wondering if there is some kind of issue going on between Adobe and Ventura.
