Apple released macOS (13) Ventura on October 24, 2022. One of the significant changes in this release of macOS is the handling of login items and background processes.

Adobe applications and services use a variety of background processes to coordinate and provide access to the features included with a Creative Cloud or Adobe application membership. The functionality of these processes includes keeping files, libraries, applications, and fonts up to date and in sync. For more information about what Adobe background processes are used for, see https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/adobe-background-processes.html.

When running macOS 13 or later, we strongly recommend that you keep Adobe-related login items turned on. Keeping the login items on will prevent disrupting the services an Adobe membership provides.

Please see https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/background-processes-macos.html for additional information on managing Adobe-related login items on macOS 13 or later.

Finally, please review and bookmark https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/macos-ventura-compatability-common-issues.html to be kept up to date about any known errors or issues running Adobe applications on macOS 13 Ventura.
