I purchased dreamweaver less than a year ago but all of a sudden they want me to repurcahse another one. Has any one else experienced this issue. Unfortunately you cant contact adobe directly or customer service for questions. These guys are a reap off. 

I am getting so sick of things not doing what I tell it to. I could just scream! Why dows DW no do what I tell it to do? Why do I keep getting a white gap to the left of my SVG image?   Seriously,what is the point? I have put a border of the same colour - nothing changes, I have expented the width by 10 px (It's a 2,000px image) - & oh look at that, what a shock, nothing changes.   Oh hang on, no wait, that's right, it's not a hock becaue don't aything dare make my life just that little bit easer!      .image_container{ background-image:url("../assets/banners_borders/sludge_bottom.svg"); background-repeat: no-repeat; height: 200px; background-size: cover; width: 100%; }     As you seein the image below, start at the top left corner, you can see a slight indent in the blue & the next thing that doesn;t do what I am blatantely obviously telling it to do, is going to have an axe put throygh it.    Why?!

HelloThe 4 images seen at the website are centered and are arranged in 1 row and will collapse to 3, 2, 1 column as the screen size width is resized.  http://davidswebsite.com/test/center_images_div.htmlQuestion 1: As the screen width is reduced past 768px, the green body background color will show up above the orange container.How to fix this so it does not?Question 2: I expand the webpage width past 1150px, the H1 title will aligned with the images. I have website 1 and edit abc.html of website 1 using DW installed on Desktop A, B, and C. I see that DW creates abc-desktopA.html, and abc-desktopB.html. How can one avoid such duplicate files? 

Hi there,Hoping to get a work around for Dreamweaver changing my file name to uppercase. For my membership software to work, the pages must be named index but it keeps reverting to Index. Is there any kind of setting I can change to stop this from happening? Anything else I can do? Thank you! 

Hi!I'm using DW 20.2. When I'm in Live View or split Live View, and I make a change to text or code, DW pops up a dialog box asking me to "Save changes to [template name]?  I've searched everywhere I can think of, but I can't find out how to turn this annoyting feature off. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!John

what more to say than what is already said in the title. This morning, needing to work on a plug in for Wordpress, I launch the whole environment, that is to say the various tools, local server and test environment... of which Dreamweaver is a part. First point, everything starts, we'll say, normally... except Dreamweaver (v15425) which takes more than a minute to start and another minute before leaving the hand. OK... I launch a good old control shift F having taken care to select the folder of the ad hoc plug in... and I look for a field name which must undergo a modification in relation to a new structuring of the database... the search is carried out quickly, and the opening of the single file which results from it also. then, as soon as I start a selection in the code... I got a DW blocking... freezing... the interface becomes clearer... bad omen... almost instantly, the fan of the machine starts to run... quickly old reflex, ctr shift esc... and the dreamweaver line starts to run

I have a news website that was originally created in Adobe GoLive and has had a Google News site rating since 2003.  There have been a few iterations, but it's time to totally reconstruct the tempates.There are quite a fw tags for the basic items that the Google News panel would prefer to see for the latest "Tranparency" guidelines that changed in June 2021. I've yet to see an adequate template that works with both Google News and Dreamweaver. I don't want to use any WordPress solution.thanks

I edit a simple Html file using DW and want to add a checkmark https://stackoverflow.com/questions/658044/tick-symbol-in-html-xhtml I see how one adds a symbol using DW at  https://www.uwec.edu/kb/article/adobe-dreamweaver-cs3-additional-character-formatting/ But in my DW I only see  "html->insert->characters" not "html->insert->special characters" and do not see the tick symbol anyway. What will be the next step?    

I want to have a downloadable pdf version of my ebooks on my site. The customer would click on the payment button, which then directs them to the particular pdf for them to download. How to I set this up in Dreamweaver? I know I'd have to upload the pdf to my server, just not sure how to set the pages up. 

I have attempted moving the link around inside the div, moving the div in and out of the body.... copy and paste different peoples instructions i found on google, nothing works to get this banner image to hyperlink. I'm sure I am missing something simple.  Why are my parentheses, brackets, and single qutoes smaller than the rest of the text? How do I fix this?

Or maybe my computer is too old? I have Mac Pro 5.1 from 2012 with Mojave 10.14.6. The app is very slow, everything I do follows by minutes of highly working 12-core CPU (300 % and higher). If I change something in the code or open a new file it takes long time to start working. I had issues with beach ball before in Photoshop but that has disappeared. I can’t continue like this. Work in DW is a pain. I have tried to install Big Sur via open core, but that didn’t help. I guess the machine is out of date. Every app from Adobe is slow but DW is worst. I have also problems with Swedish signs as å, ä and ö. I have to change this letters into a code, otherwise they will be shown as other symbols. I pay for DW every month so I feel that I have to use it, otherwise I pay money for nothing.

For the last week, every time I attempt to use Adobe Dreamweaver, the software freezes or hangs while using it.  SOmetimes it will also go into program not responding mode.  It takes hours to complete a task that used to take only a few minutes.  I am using Dreamweaver 2020.  Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

I am completing a project for school and I just created a new html file. Everything went fine until I created a css file to connect and 2 sheets are attached and I have no idea what is happening. In my folder I only have one css file yet 2 are showing connected and the problem one says it is not on my local disk. I have no idea how to fix this problem but no css is showing on my page because of this. I appreciate the help!

Is there a way to install older version of Dreamweaver perhaps back in 2014?

HelloWhy are the column widths the width they are as no widths are defined?I would like the columns to be different widths of my choice. I cannot figure why the main colunm is the width it is right now.The .rightside colunm is a smaller width then the aside colunm next to it. I also have removed from .containerdisplay: flex;flex-direction: column; And from: mainflex: 1;There is no change in the layout so I guess they are not needed. I can resize the width of the browser and the layout collapses correctly. Bij de online CHAT en bij de REMOTE (overname van decomputer) kon mannen mij niet helpen omdat mijn DW in het Nederlands is en mannen wilde, dat ik er eerst een Engelse versie van moest maken.... Er was mij gemeld dat de tijd verstreken was.....Mijn probleem:Menu Bewerken > Voorkeuren > Kopiëren/plakkenziet er zo uit:Afb. 1:In het Ontwerp-scherm krijg ik door het klikken met de rechtermuisknop en dan kiezen voor 'Plakken speciaal' het volgende scherm:Zie tweede afbeelding:Het derde en het vierde item zijn dus 'verdwenen', grijs.Opnieuw opstarten werkt niet.Ik heb de nieuwste versie van DW! Deze is dus up-to-date.Het probleem doet zich sinds een paar dagen voor, zonder dat er iets veranderd is in de voorkeuren.

I used to build websites for my favourite 1970s band using dreamweaver back in the early days when everything was table based and CSS was new.  I have moved on to using WordPress for those sites, but I still occasionally list some of my record and comic book collection on eBay and have Adobe CC acount.  I have continued to use a template I built ages ago that was table based and I am sure not HTML 5 compliant and of course is not built with bootstrap or responsive.  It has worked fine as I just take the old file and change it up and then copy the table portion of the html file and insert into eBay.  I am hoping to start listing more things on eBay and I would like to rebuild the template and make it responsive so folks can see it well on tablet and phone.  The Template I had made was basically a table with a bunch of rows that included some nested tables that had 3 columns for three images (which I probaby don't need) in some places, had colored text in some pl

Hi community,I've recently updated from DW 20 to DW 21.1, and everything worked fine as usual but one thing: the visual padding, I mean the visualization of the padding in the delevoper mode has gone.Really, fisically: for years, I've loved DW as a code tool cause it had a very good preview of my code (I develop PHP/CSS code by myself), very usefull while I was editing so I could see in real time the chances.Now, the padding preview is gone, and that is very irritating.I can still see the margin preview but not the padding.That wa useful, specially when I have to develop a new template and I'm calculating the px.I've searched almost anywhere, but no luck.I'm missing something, or what?Any ideas? Thanks in advance
