In interface dark mode, the icons showing where are the hidden html form fields, are white, and they are not visible in the project that has a white background. For example anchor icon are yellow, and it is great, like in old version DW    

I've been using Dreamweaver for years and have the most updated version on my Mac OS sequoia. Suddenly,When I add a link to an Image, despite saving it, it does not stay, but instead changes to whatever the next images is linked to. Anytime I create a link for an image all the images in that block change links. Don't know what to do at this point would appreciate any assistance

I tried to update an email address on the website using Email Spalm Blocker and it produces an error. Error:"Making this change would require changing code that is locked by a template or a translator. The change will be discarded"What to do here? Please advise

Greetings!  I develop primarily on a fussy, funky SAAS platform. I write my code in Dreamweaver becasue I've been using it since the 1999 or so and it's what I'm used to. (yes, I'm ancient).  The Enable Auto Compilation on File Save option is defaulted to ON. This causes me trouble. I usually remember to disable it before I start doing file transfers but when I forget, it takes me fifteen minutes to clean up the mess.  Any suggestions would be helpful but what I'm really looking for is a way to disable this feature so that the DEFAULT is OFF.  

I purchased a site on Domain.com and then created a website using Dreamweaver that I'd like to post there. The site is live and has  When I try to upload it I get this error message:The site is live (https://jdonovan43.com) and has the appropriate SSL certificate. This could be a problem on m end with Norton or Windows Defencer. Since Domain.com doesn't seem to have customer service, I'm asking here. Any suggestions, please?

The last DW main interface design that was any good was CS5.5 This is 2021This is CS5.5 (not great, but much better) The main system interface needs to be as good as InDesign. There needs to be good contrast.This is InDesignNotice how much more comfortable that is on your eyes? I am urging the developers at Adobe to improve the working interface color and contrast. It will make a major difference in designer and developer use of the program. John G

I'm encountering an issue in Dreamweaver's Design View. The document structure is very simple: I have a single <header> element with an <h1> tag inside it. When I try to move the cursor outside of the <header> to write additional content, it stays stuck inside the <header> tag!! Clicking or double-clicking below the <header> in Design View does not allow me to move the cursor outside of it.Pressing Enter also adds new paragraphs (<p> tags) inside the <header> instead of moving the focus outside.Normally, in Design View, you should be able to double-click below any element (such as a <header>) to move the focus and start editing outside of that element. However, this does not work in this case.The only way to resolve this is to switch to Code View, place the cursor manually outside the <header> tag, and then switch back to Design View to continue editing. This issue seems to be a limitation or bug in the Design Vi

I last used DW about 15 years ago and was fairly proficient with it. But changed jobs and stepped away from it. I just downloaded and installed the latest version but cannot figure out how to move the toolbar from the side of the window to the top of the window. I am working on a Windows machine in Developer view and I have tried looking through the online documentation  but so far no luck. Can anyone help with this.  Thank you in advance. 

This is a message with a slim problem of being solved. I have NOT yet ported my website to DreamWeaver!BUT.. I recently had to change the password on my FTP account, and now GoLive can no longer connect to the FTP Server.It says "internal error". I have tried all variations of FTP, SFTP, PASSIVE etc..Other Ftp apps like WinSCP and Filezilla can connect with the same user and password details.ANYONE have any suggestions for me (other than updating to DreamWeaver)..

Right, is there any valid reason whatsoever as to WHY Dreamweaver is choosing to ignore the stylesheet that is attached to my HTML document? It is completely ignoring any css attribute I place in my stylesheet and quite frankly it;s really starting to piss me off.  Below is the code that is the stylesheet which is  the HTML document, between the <head> tags - which, shockingly, is the way I have always dont this and (also shockingly) is the way it is supposed to be done. <link href="css/master.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">  However, tonight, your product as decied to behave like an "intelligently-challenged"  disobdient child and completely ignore ANY CSS atribute I make: color, positioning, font-size, nothing.  So, tell me, why am I once again having my time wasted by some idioticly-designed software which is still quite happy to charge us?  Anyone else have this issue?

When I try to upload to my website server (FTP) I keep getting drop-outs like this:I was able to use FileZilla to access the server fine so I don't know what is causing the issues but it seems to be a Dreamweaver issue. I have given Dreamweaver access through the firewall (Windows Defender) to no effect. Temporarily disabling the firewall also didn't resolve it.The website (very crude, I know) is https://uploading.fastertrack.com/I'm using the latest version of Dreamweaver available (21.3)

While fixing one problem, I somehow changed a setting. I now cannot make smart left single and double quotation marks.  I can make the right side smart quotation marks.  I can do it in other apps, so I somehow flipped a Dreamweaver setting and can't figure out how to go back.  When I type "option [" nothing happens.

Is Dreamweaver discontinued or abandoned?I do not see true updates since years ago.It does not support Bootstrap 5, it uses old JQery versions...

For anyone who uses Amazon Web Services, they have a new policy on Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).    AWS discontinued SMS text message-based MFA.  If you haven't already, you must upgrade to a more secure MFA method in order to access your account console.  Passkey or security key, virtual (software-based) MFA device, or hardware MFA device.   I opted to purchase a small MFA device that generates a random 6-digit code for logging-in to AWS. It cost approx $15 on Amazon.com.   

I know I had this issue fixed but I had to reinstall due to a hard drive crash. I almost certainly found the answer here but I can't find it now. The open files tabs have disappeared from the toolbar section at the top of the page. I remember that the fix involved creating a new workspace when that happened, but I can't seem to make one that gets the tabs back.  I am currently using the default designer workspace.

I'm using the latest OSX and Adobe Cloud to keep apps up to date. Dreamweaver continues to get stuck upon launching with "Updating the Site Cache". I've deleted the app through the Creative Cloud, I've reinstalled it. I hunted down and removed permissions and .plst, but I'm missing something. I've launched the app holding down COMMAND OPTIONS SHIFT, but that didn't purge the problem either. I'm completely fine deleting ALL sites and caches just to get Dreamweaver working again. Any advice? Screenshot attached.

Need some help with Flex.  Go here: Flex HTML link  I'm sure the guy that owns this site uses Flex html. . . When he adds the Los Angeles Dodgers for 2024, the 2020 LA Dodgers will move down to the next line automatically. . . . Does anyone now how to set something like that up? Dreamweaver won't launch. It gets stuck at the beginning while "Loading files." I have to force quit every time. I have already tried resenting the preferences while launching, but it still won't open. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled via the Creative Cloud app, but that changes nothing.     NOTE: I created a new User account on my Mac and was able to launch the DW app that way. However, I don't want to (and should not have to) quit my main account and switch to a different user just to be able to use Dreamweaver. Also, all of my website files are located on my main user account.     I'm using a Mac with OS Monterey 12.0I did see someone here mention using the Cloud cleaner tool, but I have no idea how to access that or whether or not that would be destructive. IF that is the ONLY way I can fix this, can you answer:Where in the world do I even FIND the cloud cleaner tool?Does it delete any files that I have created with the application? (I

I have two issues going on that I can use some expert advise on.First, on a website I created, there is an image that refuses to appear called Chariot in the About The Transportation paragraph. I've tried uploading several times, making sure it's in the images folder, changing the name, changing the format from .jpeg to .png and clearing my cache, but it is not there...just the symbol for the image. What am I missing?   http://www.trojansinparadise.com  Secondly, for some reason, Dreamweaver refuses to connect to the site to upload files directly. I had to download FileZilla to get the site up. When trying to connect, I get an error message that the name and password may be incorrect but I have verified it is the exact same info I put into FileZilla. I made sure that Passive is on. I saw some options others were offered such as the root folder name and changing FTP to FTP over SSL explicit and still didn't work. Any other suggestions for me to try so I can keep ever

I'm just revisiting a very old website that I built in Dreamweaver and used some Project VII extensions.   A couple of weeks ago I was still able to log into projectseven.com and re-downloaded some extensions.  I just went back to get a User Guide and the site is down now.  I know that since Al Sparber died 4 or 5 years ago now that Project VII seemed to be moving towards closure.    The reason that I was looking for a User Guide for Art Gallery Magic was because I couldn't remember how Fireworks engaged with the extension to create thumbnails.   Any suggestions please?
