Hi all, I'm brandnew to Dreamweaver, HTML and CSS, but the tutorial videos have already helped me al lot. I continued from the websited Adobe made to show you around in the videos, but there's one thing that doesn't really work: the fonts. Whatever font(family) I choose in DW, it looks the same in the browser preview. I know about the possible issues about fonts that might not be installed etc, but I don't think that's the problem. I read something about java but I have no idea where to begin. Unfortunately I can't link to the website since it hasen't been published yet.

I created a website and uploaded to FTP host and my website was visible on internet. I make some changes to my website and uploaded again to FTP host but I do not see the changes.Any help? Thanks

Hello All-When DW2017 rolled out, I couldn't change the colors of the code and my eyes at the time could not make out enough difference between the background colors and the code colors for it to work, so I stuck with DW2015. And there I have been since then... well DW2015 seems to not be super stable on my system these days, so I need to upgrade.  I see that they have finally made the change to code coloring, but I am having an issue with what I think is the .cm-string hook.I use inline styles quite a bit as we do a good deal of email marketing, so in DW2015, the attribute was one color and the value was another. it makes it much easier to see values, especially in the lengthier strings.  Now I have long blocks of pale yellow and it takes forever to read through them looking to make changes.  I need some help to change the colors, seems like it should be simple, but I can't figure out the hooks even using the tools pointed to in other parts of the forum... and Adobe won

Is there a way to stop the scrolling on my pages beyond the content.  I have a template page and 6 other pages and you can continue to scroll down past the content on each page.

Why would they delete a response I made to my OWN post? I marked the question as correct then unmarked it as correct because I still had an issue. All I did was ask the person who helped me another question and it got deleted. NOT COOL.  My question pertained to the same issue!

Can someone help me with how to keep my settings the same everythime I close the program I have to reset everything this just started about a week ago 

Hello Everybody.Thank you for taking the time to read this. I know frames are an old way of design but here is my problem.I have turned my boats manual into web version. In other words i can view the manual on browser. It is not hosted on any site.I used frames to make an index and content section. The content section was individual pages which linked to diagrams and details. These could be printed out easily to aid fault finding.I tried using templates but these are not easily printable and using PHP or SSI may not be viable unless it works as a stand alone as the manual is stored on a hard drive as well as Onedrive. Maybe I'm better off using a completely different format alogether, like Powerpoint .Any thoughts truly appreciated.

New to DW, so I took a free template and made the necessary chages but I am unable to change the images. Any help would be greatly appreciates. Thanks 

I have had Adobe Web Suite Premium CS3 for years now and somehow Adobe has reached into my system and deactivated the enire suite of programs. I get a window that says I have 5 days left to use the program. When I try to activate it says there is no connection. Of course my internet is working. The telephone option is no longer supported so that doesn't work. It has a message to go to adobe.com/go/activation which has no information for me on how to activate my owned and purchased copy. So nice to have to waste my time on this. What right does Adobe have to disable software that I have legally purchased? How do I get this activated?

Hi, I apply a custom class to my ul tag so that the spacing is styled to my liking. Yes, I have to manually apply that to the tags.The question is, how can I automate this formatting so that another person typing content and making a bulleted list would not need to touch the code to apply that class? Is there a way? Is it via a small javaScript snippet? Appreciate the feedback. Thank you!

Very new to Dreamweaver. I have exported from Adobe Muse to HTML a website I developed. When I open a page on this site that includes fillable form fields for Name/Email/Company/Part Numbers, in Dreamweaver, I get all the header/footer graphics, but the form section is blank and I cannot see any forms elements. Am I not getting how forms function in DW? Or do I have to recreate these pages from scrath at this point. Thanks in advance.

I made some changes on the Index.html page and assigned class names to all of my images, and properties are right and left "AUTO" and Display is "BLOCK".  Device Preview is fine, but after uploading all the changes, everything is aligned to the left.     I have no idea what the problem is.  Can anyone help me.   Thanks, Morris   [Moderator Note: Personal information removed]

I built a page over a year ago with a movie and a sound-file. When I try to open it in Dreamweaver it freezes and will not allow me to do anything. The sound-file is already playing and keeps playing but I cannot move anywhere-

Hi,I had installed Xpresso for Dreamweaver - CS6 few days back.While I was attempting to get some hands-on practice, I have been facing some issues in loading a sample data schema from the xpresso tab in my Dreamweaver.I am facing a Javascript error while executing onLoad in LoadSchemaCommand.htm.The alert box informed me that there is an error at line 456 in commonutils.jsI saw the commonutils.ja file and the line mentions a function that takes an argument which is basically a path created by installedPath and folderXP variable. I am not sure whether it is not able to fetch value from any of the above mentioned variables.I am also unsure whether this is an installation error or whether a setup error on my behalf.Can someone please clear my doubts regarding the same?

Hi I have just installed CS3 dreamweaver on a new computer but, although it green ticks the code I've put it, I get an 'activation no connection' message (yes, I am connected fine).  I've tried 'retry', the number given for telephone activation doesn't work, I wouldn't know which internet settings to check for the third option.   This has happened before but I've used 'remind me on next launch' but now that won't work.  Is there a non-teccie work around that I can use?

In editing in Design View, I'm getting some unexpected behavior. If you look at the screenshot, you can see that I have highlighted two words so I can edit them by overwriting them (I wanted to replace You have with How's the. But as soon as I begin to type the new word, that New CSS Rule window opens. Any idea why that's happening? I should add that this only happens when I highlight words to replace them. I can add words without the window opening.ThanksAlan

Hallo,seit dem letzten Update abe ich Probleme beim Hochladen. Ich wollte einen Eyecatcher als div auf die Seite setzen, aber er erschien nicht auf der Internetseite. Ebenso wollte ich Bilder erneuern. Im Programm sind die Bilder in der Remoteansicht zu sehen (wurden also hochgeladen), aber auch da hat sich auf der Internetseite nichts geändert.Den Eyecatcher habe ich dann als einfachen Text hochgeladen ... das hat funktioniert.An was kann das liegen??GrußMargot-Jo

Within many of my php webpage files,  the code (this is one example) has changed from <form action="../mailer.php" method="POST" enctype="multipart/form-data" autocomplete="off" to <form action="file:///Macintosh HD/Users/user_name/Desktop/Imagine/mailer.php" method="POST" enctype="multipart/form-data" autocomplete="off" (note: the user_name is my system User Name) I have not modified the files to alter this, it just happens. Any thoughts as to why this is occurring and what I can do to ensure it does not reoccur inthe future? 

I've been trying Dreamweaver CC 2020 lately, but there's one problem. I can't find the shortcut for "Line comment". On the official website, it says "Ctrl /" but for me, this was the shortcut for "increase font size". I didn't change any of the shortcut options, it was like this since I installed it and I don't know what's causing it. I would like to change it manually, but I don't know where "line comment" is located on the shortcut menu and can't change it that way either. If anybody knows a way to solve this I would be grateful. Thank you. 

Hello, I am new to Dreamweaver. I am trying to make a website for my small business. So I tried to open new sites sevral times (I have at least 10 sites with different name). Some of them I deleted by deleting the root folder from my desktop. But every time I launch Dreamweaver I have a list of previously opened files which is confusing to me. How I can delete the files which shows up under "Filter Recent Files" when I start Dreamweaver? Thanks
