I'm working with on a page containing an SVG imported from Illustrator. I've been able to set a few sites on my list to use an <a xlink:href  . But I can't do it without my site having a black rectangle over it. With the latest iPhone update, iOS 13, I am having trouble with HTML5 Dropdown Menu's.When you press on the navigation bar for the menu to drop down, it immediatley goes back up. So there's no opportunity to click and go to other pages on the site.Does anyone know of a way around this ?

Dreamweaver 19.2.1 Build 11281 Window 10 fully updated Dreamweaver is randomly freezing at startup. I have reset the preferances, reinstalled, rebooted the computer, started using admin privileges, disabled loading prior work, .... All these sometimes work, or work for a little while. But the issue keeps returning. When it happens, I have to kill the program in the task manager. Sometimes after killing it, it will start the next time. Sometime I need to do that several times. Is there an actual fix for this??

How do you apply a common footer (and possibly header/menu) across all pages?  I am trying to help a friend out on fixing up his site and there are some changes to the footer that need to be made.  There are a lot of pages to this site and it would appear I have to go through each page and make the changes.  I am sure there are going to be more changes in the future.   It is the same for the menu at the top.  I am going to make changes there too.  How can you include another file into a page so that there is one footer and one menu that can be updated and applied to the entire site? I did see reference to doing it in php which would make sense if the site used PHP.  There is a bit of ajax code but it pulls from a node app and the site itself is not running on a server with php or any server side scripting. I have not used dreamweaver in years and I cannot figure out how to do it. Thanks for any guidance you can give me. M

Hi, This code works in Chrome and Firefox for positioning a logo within a navbar:<img src="/logo.svg" alt="logo" style="max-width: 100%; height: auto; float: left; display: inline-block; margin-top: -23%;"> However, in IE and Edge, the logo is rendering much larger than set size max limit. This fiddling renders it well, but then offsets Chrome and Firefox:<img style="height: auto; margin-top: 1.5%; float: left; display: inline-block; max-width: 43%;" alt="logo" src="/logo.svg"> Ugh... how to resolve?

I have upgraded to MacOS Catalina and for some reason, the CSS is not now working, not sure why? The CSS does show up in the 'sources' but the @Media and Selectors panels are empty Not sure how to correct this? Hope you can help Thanks Tim 

Is there a way to change the background color of the body tag when hovering over a list item?I would like to acieve this using html and css only. No javascript this is the code I'm using in CSS:ul li:hover:nth-child(1) a{body{background-color: #009688;}}the above code just changes the li color. I've also tried the 'background' attribute and it doesnt work? Keith

HiWe have used Dreamweaver for many years starting with DW CS5 and during the last two years we have had DW CC 2017 and DW 2019 available.When we started to change from DW CS5 to DW CC we noticed that when you created a template file, created pages from this template, and then modified the template that the child web pages did not update.This problem occurs in DW CC 2017 and 2019 versionsI've checked the forums and the method used to create templates and child pages are what we have done for over 15 years.Given we can't find a solution we have now gone back to DW CS5We use this software to allow university business students to create simple e-commerce web sitesIf you have a solution then please let us knowThanksGlyn

Launching Dreamweaver on Mac High Siera . It wont get past the Initilazing.... startup window.Not sure when this started happing. Have not updated my OS.Ive tried updating to the latest version of DW and still wont launch always stuck on startup screen Initilazing...Driving my nuts ! any help?

I have been working with Dreamweaver CC 19.2.1 on Windows 7, and suddenly started receiving this error out of nowhere, "node.js server-side javascript has stopped working". I don't use the cloud, I just synchronize from my computer to the site server. I can synch fine, the program works, it just this error message pops open and closes every 5 seconds or so which is exteremly irritating. Can you imagine? I didn't do anything different or download any new versions, it just started popping up constantly nonstop, over and over. There is old posts about this, but I don't see an actual solved answer for it. It does this on any Dreamweaver 19 or 18 versions. There is no longer older versions availible for 17 or 16, I have checked, but I still have version 15 on my computer which works fine without this error, but of course I prefer the newest version Dreamweaver CC 19.2.1. Why does this error happen on versions of 19 and 18 but not 15? Why is this happening, how do I stop it or fix it? T

Hi all,I recently obtained a client who needs me to help them with their website.  An employee of theirs created the site but is now unavailable, so I can't ask them for help.I was told they "probably" created the website with Dreamweaver. I downloaded the entire site via FTP. The employee saved all the pages as .php files.When I open the files in Dreamweaver, nothing is linked. No images, no CSS, nothing. I get an ugly white page with unformatted text.I dread having to relink everything manually; am I doing something wrong? I confess my web design experience is mostly in the HTML world, but I can figure this out if I can just get the pages to show up correctly.Thanks for any help!

I'm starting to plan an eventual update to 10.15 (Catalina).  Dreamweaver 19.2.1 includes a 32-bit component:   /Applications/Adobe Dreamweaver CC 2019/Adobe Dreamweaver 2019.app/Contents/MacOS/Dreamweaver ImageHelper.app/Contents/Frameworks/AdobePSL.framework/Versions/A/Required/AdobeQTServer.app/Contents/MacOS/AdobeQTServer   I have no idea what this does -- will it affect DW on Catalina?   [Use the reply button under the first post to ensure replies sort properly.]

Last time I looked at Dreamweaver was about 15 years ago. It was more of a WYSIWYG web builder. I get the impression it is now more of a code editor like Sublime, Brackets, BBEdit etc?  

I am a beginner with dreamweaver and got my site to a place where I was happy with it except for one page in MS Edge.  This page works how it should on Chrome and Explorer, on laptop and phone, but not in edge.  It puts one of the column to the side of the page taking up about 3/4s of it and then groups the other 5 columns together wrapping them (they are suppose to wrap when adapting to screen size)Should be but shows like this Is there a specific code that I should be using for edge and what part of the code would be helpful to fix this. This is a brief overview of what I have done.  It is probably user error, but just can not find it.  I would be grateful of any suggestions. <section class="information">   <article      class="info">     <p>Sales and Marketing are often lumped together.  But they're two different disciplines. I am trying to create a logon dialog for a Dreamweaver (DW) website that incorporates SSL on GoDaddy. The website is created with some content but I want to control access to the site with a typical logon dialog that gathers userID and passWord. I understand that this will necessitate a connection to a database on the website. The idea would be to intercept any attempt to access content on the website and redirect to the logon dialog until such time as the user has logged on successfully. This would also require a means of authenticating new user requests. I'm guessing that this will require either substantial code developed with DW on the website or implementation of an application extension of some sort. Using Dreamweaver CS 19.2.1 build 11281. I also have the Adobe Creative Cloud applications in case any of those might help.  Thanks in advance for assistance.

I am trying to use an SVG exported from Illustrator and imported to Dreamweaver. And somewhere in that process, I must select areas (rectangles) which connect to URL tags. Can anyone help with this?Rick

Every time I open Dreamweaver I get this error: Node.js Server-side JavaScript has stopped working This is a new issue that has just started to happen and it makes the program very unstable and cannot be used.

I noticed just yesterday, that after updating the latest Adobe CC application, I can no longer open files using "open with". This goes for all CC applications that I've tried - Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Adobe Acrobat.
