Hello, Need help to put a border on a link in a Map area , where the border need to be blur and sharpen on event of mouse roll over. please assist with a sample code Thanks.

I've had ongoing problems with DW not recognizing some code selections I might need to find in a document.  For instance, if I want to find all instance of this, it won't even show it in the find window:<span style="font-weight: medium; color:#950000;"> >></span> </span> </p> </td> </tr>I have several docs where the author has this setup with line breaks between elements, and I need to go in and remove all those breaks, but DW won't even show this selection in the finder on Cmnd/F.  How can I get it to do that? Thanks.

HiUnfortunately I just updated Dreamweaver to 2017 and now it's close to impossible to work in this program.I always use code view and the code coloring was perfect in 2016.In 2017 however the page cannot use code coloring for pages that contains mixed languages.That makes it too hard to identify the different code blocks as they are color mixed.See image:ASP starts with blue color. Then goes all orange and ends with orange tag.Next ASP block starts with orange then goes green and starts mixing randomly with write and blue.This goes on when the code switches to HTML and later JavaScript.Please tell me this can be fixed. Currently Dreamweaver is useless for me

I'm very new to dreamweaver and started making my website for my course. I'm trying to make and overlay popdown for when hovering over certain text in my navbar. I managed to get it to work with one heading/text in the navbar but when trying to get it to work with the other headings with one displaying at a time it won't work. It only displays text on the page when hovering over the corresponding heading in the navbar but there is no overlay. Problems on one of my pages and questions about the first lines of code that describe the document and contents. As several of you  know I am a do it yourselfer/ artist who is trying to revise my website and in the weeks since I was last here  I have learned a lot and removed many problems. My most challenging pages now are completely red source code free and more recent revised pages are less cluttered via the use of the page properties and a clearer knowledge of how the code works and the areas of are more neatly arranged and separated. I have plenty more to learn, but I think I can do what I want to do with some help.        IMMEDIATE ISSUE ( some of my links are purple rather than the CSS assigned color. Purple is hard to read on my dark backgrounds . 1)This problem is with links . Since 1 week I have weird character in the design HTML file but my CSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS are in default fonts... the weird apear on letter with accent à, é, è, etc....   See image: 

Question, I can Can only do Bold and Paste Special in in Code View. No go in LIve or Split, is this normal, Bold wont Bold and paste special is greyed out. thanks.

This is not a Dreamweaver problem per se but I hope someone can help me figure out what is going on, might be a browser or HTML issue.  I have a webcam image that I am attempting to display on a page on a website.  An example of the HTML is below (modified to remove the actual address). <img border="0" src="http://mywebcam.com:8008/picture/1/current/?_username=user&_signature=0123456789ABCDEF" align="left"> In the Dreamweaver preview, as I am editing the HTML, the image from the webcam appears just fine.  But when I view the website using Chrome (or Edge) the image does not display, I get the broken image icon placeholder.  If I do a Chrome view source, the img tag is exactly as I typed it into Dreamweaver, so the server is serving up the page and img tag correctly.  If I copy and paste the src URL into my browser the image is displayed just fine. What am I missing here?  Shouldn't img and src work here or do I need to modify the t

I have many rows in my layout, The problem I am having is that the  class="row" in  html / bootstrap makes all my other rows the same as that row. Can I change the name of the class="row" to class="row-a"? I have tried this and it will stack my row's. so I am stuck or am I using the wrong bootstrap component?

I recently upgraded to Windows 11.Now, when I open Dreamweaver, the main panel is spread across 2 monitors, and some parts of the main panel extends outside of both monitors! I need to manually resize the workspace in order to start working. Verry frustrating!I have tried creating a new workspace layout (which solved the same problem in Illustrator) but that did not help in Dreamweaver.

I made updates to the index file of https://weavergroup.com that entailed the addition of a picture in the right-hand column with the heading "Articles and Activities" and text below it.  It looks fine in Firefox.  HOWEVER, in Safari, the "Welcome to the Weaver Group" text in the left column has been pushed to the bottom of the page with much trailing white space before and after it.  I work in Design mode, and do all my updates there.  Before working on this website lately, the last time I updated this website was in 2019.  Everything was displaying fine before the changes.  If someone can look at the code and let me know if there's a problem there, thank you!  ANOTHER problem: I'm FTPing the files from the local folder to the (GoDaddy hosted) website using the DW FTP function.  I see a delay in the updates, so I've been creating multiple index files to see if any changes to the way I have spacing in tables affects the Safari display. 

I have about 75 Dreamweaver sites, and they are all doing well.  However, when I attempt to do a "Select Files Recently Changed," I get an error and am puzzled about what to do.   I changed the template and have about 80 files that need to be updated, but without this feature on this specific site, I may have to do it by hand...!! Any assistance would be appreciated! 

Hi I recently got a file from customer, whenever I did something in the code view, the design view is super slow to reflect the changes, the color wheel will spin for like 20 seconds each time I edit something. All the other files I created previously ran fast, no issues, just this file is super painful to work with as it is super slow.  wonder if it has something to to with CSS or the fact that this file contains <div>?  all files I created do not have any <div> and it is fast. Thanks

Dreamweaver is so slow it almost unusable. lag lag lag on a simple page. every change in any txt takes 3-4 seconds.  is there a fix for this? otherwise, I need to cancel my subscription and find another program. I have always liked DW but it's taking me way to much time to just do simple HTML. HELP!!!

While the html appears correct, the corresponding characters appear like jibberish in design view.Thanks in advance.

Hi All, so i have built a bootstrap site using dreamweaver. when i shrink my page for a mobile view my burger menu is 100% except that when i click on it the spacing is too small and you cant read the dropdown items. please help.

Lates version of DW on updated Windows 11.  See the cursor, when it is positioned there the editor crashes. Every time.

greetings dreamweavers.i recently went to the adobe roadshow and was introduced to a new application of muse.they instructors were going on about how cool it is,that you can do your website with no what so ever coding etc etc.so if you can then do websites in muse,what is dreamwevaer then needed for?is it an applicaiton of adobe soon to be extinct?thank you.

Hi everybody, does anybody know why my php files won’t display online? I can view them on my computer using XAMPP but they won’t display online. Dreamweaver creates a self-closing tag when it inserts an image (and maybe elsewhere). How do I stop this outdated behavior? Example: <img src="images/updated.gif" width="87" height="12" alt="Updated"/> That closing slash causes a validation warning. Thanks.Fred

Using bootstrap and loaded the jQuery tabs function this is the code . in live view it looks great but when I goto the live view it looks the same as the code view. If you are using Bootstrap and try to select a class in the properties window you get a huge list which is difficult to navigate because there is no scroll bar. There's an arrow top and bottom of the list but scrolling down the list to find the item you want is far too slow and cumbersome. It takes 9 seconds just to scroll out the 'a's of Bootstrap! This list badly needs a proper scroll bar.

Hello Adobe,I updated to the latest 2017.1 last week.Your search feature no longer makes it possible specify "find in: Current Document | Open Documents | Folder | Whole site" - only in current document. I also don't seem to be able to specify case sensitivity for the search.How do I get the old search feature back?Let's say that I have 10 directories with many sub-folders, and hundreds of files scattered around in the application.Let's say that I am very busy and pressed for time.How do I search all files and folders for a particular string?I have to use some other software, right?
