I'm very new to Dreamweaver and trying to figure out what I messed up here. Randomly my live preview (for one one website) stopped working. It tries to connect to the test server, and whether or not the test server is available, the livepreview will not load. The test server is on the network, if it matters. Other websites (without test servers) use LivePreview just fine. Help? I'm using 2017.0.1.

My hosting company has sent me a message to instruct me to change from an FTP connection to FTPS.This doesn't seem to be an option with Dreamweaver.  Is FTPS the same as SFTP?This is what they said;In order to provide you with even more security, we are migrating your Windows package to a Windows Server 2016 environment. Hello there. In current website I am working on trying to make a simple Table in which I can then place pictures and then stats/info/etc. So I went on YouTube and read through Adobe to learn on how to do this. Everyone explained about clicking on "Make a table"...adjust to the size...move it around and I should be happy (see video). However, for some reason I am unable to do any of this. It seems that I am very restricted in my Dreamweaver abilities as in my video my Table's simple 1 box script plops on and then I have to work it from there. And then I have no ability to move it around. Even when I try to edit it through Modify -> Table -> (nothing is lit up).Please watch the video below  and share your thoughts. Hi everyone I'm working in a website for a family member and everything was going nice, I have a nice main page, gallery and a dynamic contact forum that works! However I was just editing on the contact forum brushing up a little design and I removed a css style link, and relinked it but now nothing shows up at all on the page. its just all grey in design view, live view, and in browser view. I don't see anything wrong with the code so I'm not sure if i did mess it up without knowing or if its just another Dreamweaver error. I'll provide some pictures of my problem so you can see it. Before this I was able to view it just fine in all three modes. everything was working

I had a previous version of Macromedia DreamWeaver 8 in Spanish language. I uninstalled that and downloaded in English language, but now it shows in Spanish only. Can anyone help me in changing the language?

I don't know if my question is understandable, I'll try my best.I have multiple pages that have links that point to the same document.Ex. In the INDEX page there is a link to the DOC-018.pdf document.     In the HEALTH AND SECURITY page there is a link to that same document.The problem comes when we modify that DOC-018 document, I need to go to every page that has that link and change it.The other problem is that I don't even know on which pages there are links to that document.(btw I didn't create the website, and I'm using Dreamweaver CC)Is there a way to arrange it so that I only have to change one of the links and that all other links are modify?I thought I could link to a specific link in a page (Like INDEX) and have the file open, but that doesn't work.I  used the <id> to point to one specific link (could be the one in the INDEX page) but it doesn't open that document, it just opens the web page and position itself to that link.Hoping this is somewh

Real time preview in Dreamweaver is not working on my tablets.  Enter the URL in the tablet and the page that appears is the device preview troubleshooting page.  Not sure why it is not allowing access.  Worked fine for the last two months, now it does not.

Dreamweaver is brilliant. When it isn't frustrating the life blood from my most extreme capillaries, I love it.But because of those frustrations, I have to ask why Adobe don't support it like it has a future, because the communication and heads up on updates and deprecation of functionality just riles its users up the wrong way every time an update comes. I am working through the Training from the source Dreamweaver 8 with ASP, ColdFusion and PHP book and when I try to setup the database connection it fails with an erro that says "Your PHP server doesn't have the MySql module loaded or you can't use the mysql_(p)connect functions". I did some research and found some help on the MySqlForge Wiki site but even after uninstalling and re-installing PHP several times it still does not work. I am running Windows XP sp2 PHP 5.1.4 (installed both using the Windows installer and manually) and MySql 5. Thanks for the help Bongo_Bob

I can't target the td tags within a table, DW shows the preview properly but when I upload to the server the td style isn't applied. I'm able to target the tr but not the td within the same table.I have the following in the Global style sheet section targeting the table, I can see the tr has the style applied but not the td:.table-specifications tr {  padding: 30;  border-bottom: 1px solid #ccc;}.table-specifications td    {  padding: 30;}Here's the MarkupHere's the URL​​  ("specifications" tab) Thanks for your help,Brandon

I create a 3 x 3 table in Dreamweaver and in design/html preview it looks fine but when I upload it to our site one of my images drops below the table. I received this dialog from DW 2017.1 build 9583 for Windows 10 x64:There are three things wrong with it:It has a spelling error (see if you can find it)FileZilla has no problem carrying out this operation successfully. In fact I use a host where I can only use FileZilla (because DW FTP is so crap [Siteground])the two above buttons give me no way forward. Each one just leaves me in the same dissatisfied state [bad user experience]Why years ago when designers and developers would state that they would never even bother with DW FTP, because it is rubbish, is it still lacking?Why is a free product from FileZilla twice as good?2017 and it is about time you gave yourself a good kicking regarding this part of DW. It is bringing the side down and you might be unaware that it is second rate.

I have one single graphic that I have sliced in Photoshop and exported into Dreamweaver. I have four slices, each have a link the corresponds to our live website. I tried uploading all the images that Photoshop made when I sliced, as well as the ready HTML web file from Dreamweaver to dropbox.com, and then uploaded the code text into our email service. The preview through the email service shows all blank images. I am very new to using Dreamweaver and have never attempted to upload my own HTML to this email provider. How should I go about hosting the images so all clients can view the email? Nothing on the internet has quite answered my question as to how I can get the images to show up.Thank you for your help!

Io scrivo direttamente il codice perchè conosco html, css, js ecc. ma loro vorrebbero non mettere le mani sul codice ed andare a modificare il sito con le funzionalità che mette a disposizione (come su muse, per intenderci). Vorrei quindi sapere se è possibile avere accesso a tutte le funzionalità del programma anche senza toccare minimamente il programma.Grazie in anticipo per la risposta.

I have an svg diagram I have created for a website in javascript. I would like to style the svg with css (which is allowed). I like using the CSS Designer tab so I don't have to go manually to the css file and add it there. However, when I try to do that, I get, for example, "fill is not a valid css property. Enter a valid CSS Property!". It definitely is a css property though because when I add it manually to the css text file it correctly changes the diagram. Is there not another way to add styling to svg without going to the text file?

Tired of the popups and I can't figure out how to shut it off.  There's a New Feature Guide category in preferences but there's no option to disable.

Every time I right click in my code, I cannot cut, copy, paste and no quick edit is available. It's all greyed out.

Hi,Example Could anyone explain how this is accomplished.  When you click on the navigation bar on the left, the text for that particular link slides in. Is this done in a frame? I've seen the sliding anchored text. This only uses a single section at a time.Thank you  Randy
