So I build the page in photoshop, import it over to dream weaver, immediately get an error code for no doctype, I check the page in live view looks perfect, I then add the doctype like so <!DOCTYPE html> at the top of the page, check again in live view and have all kinds of display issues. I am running PS CC and DW CC. Any clues on this? I have tried lower case on the doctype also and still didn't work.

I have used Dreamweaver MX2004 for many years.   I run a small village website and cannot afford the cost of renting Dreamweaver C.C. so I decided a few days ago to downloaded the 30 day trial version of CS6 from the Adobe website.   However, I cannot see anywhere how much a licence costs or how to obtain one.  Could anyone please advise me?I tried using the chat help but they didn't seem to understand what I was asking.

I posted a script and was told that I needed to tell the scrip to pass along html. I have tried at least a dozen or so ways to do this with variations of these two lines but all attempts lead to the script bombing out and not sending anything through the process. Here are the two lines I have been adding, I have tried a dozen variations with or without dots, \r\n, single quotes, double, etc.. Tried placing all of these variations above and at the end of the variables but every version I try bombs the script and I get no email. Can someone give me a pointer as to how to get this to send the html and still not stop the script. I know I am a rookie but if you read back you will see that I do spend hours reading and trying things before I come here. Hopefully I can get this thing to pass along the info I need so I can finish it up. Is there a quick and easy way to make DIVs (all of them, across the website) fade into view after loading instead of just appearing? Something super-quick that won't slow down the user experience any; to demonstrate that some additional effort was put in. I'm already linking to jQuery, so that's available as a resource.Whether everything fades in at once, or in the order the browser reads them, doesn't matter to me. The latter is probably prettier to watch unfold (at least compared to your average website rendering itself).PS: I wrote 'DIVs' but would be just as content if it applied to everything, including images or other items not contained in DIVs. I just want it to affect AT LEAST the DIVs. EDIT: Will settle for a fade-out / fade-in during page transitions (including the original page load) if that's easier, but I doubt it is.

I test Dreamweaver 2017.1 (Finally, the search works).But I have problems with the real-time preview. The real time preview on the URL: http://127.0.0.1:63023/preview/app/index.html work in all my browsers but the page in the browser only refresh when I save the file in Dreamweaver. Ist this normal? I thought the real-time preview would have to show immediately without saving the result in the browser ...Are there solutions for this problem? Can it be that I have a wrong setting?My real tiem previe works, but the problem is the trigging of the real time preview.

I have been a long time user of Adobe products. Dreamweaver, Illustrator and PhotoShop. On January 17, 2017 I decided to upload the 30 day version of Dreamweaver. After spending countless hours on it I canceled the trial version on February 6, 2017. You billed for $119.19 for this. So I sent a rejection to my credit card company. Today I received a notice from my cc company saying the charges I disputed are justified. Today I talked to you cs department. They said I had to cancel before 14 days. Hi, i have a site that included a slideshow that lads images from an XML. on dreamweaver and preview, the site works perfectly, the slide show works and all images show up. however when you open one of the pages that included an xml slide show from the site folder on the computer, the slide show doesn't work? i have no idea what to since it work on the software and preview perfectly?does anyone know what the issue could be?

OK, just more or less finished a project for a client (after nearly 6 months back and forth) based on specific requirements - requirements that were right for my skillset and knowledge. Specifically they wanted to use Paypal as the payment gateway. Its a payment gateway I'm very familar with having produced several sites deploying it using IPN (Instant Payment Notification).The website code has all been written and tested and functions as expected - was just waiting for the Paypal email address from client to use - now they have at the last minute requested a different payment gateway be used, one that I'm not famliar with and have no desire to spent several hours, maybe days, reading through a lot of technical stuff trying to work out how to implement it within the existing coding. It could be easy, it could be beyond my skillset. On my previous laptop Windows 7 was my OS and CS3 (Yes I know... it's a prehistoric $800,- version) worked excellent.I choose to update the OS from Windows 7 to Windows 10 and CS3 still worked excellent.The harddrive (of my previous laptop) crashed so I bought a new one, with the latest specs and Windows 10.Installed CS3 thinking it would work fine.It doesn't. In the root of my project I have a starter page that I copy and then move to the required folder to start work on the new page.Dreamweaver asks if I want to Update the links and I select Update. The page has an image and the link to that image is correctly updated with the new relative path. The image has a link and Dreamweaver is writing that as an absolute path to the local drive.I cannot find a setting so that the path is rewritten as a relative path. Hello, I would love some assistance. I am creating a site using one of Dreamweaver CC's templates. It looks the way I want it in design mode, and in the preview (see screen shot below). But when I upload it to http://new.adtsrc.org it shows up differently in the browser. Namely, the block of text does not cover the entire page and the individual services below are justified left instead of centered. Can anyone tell me why? Thanks!

I have a form and a script. when I put all nonsense like all a into the text fields (except the "sender email field") and put say any number at all the form works fine. AS soon as I try to put a real address into that field, the top of the form in the email fails to separate each line of input. Is there some reason as soon as I enter a street address or a real phone number into those areas, it makes the items above the line break all string together. I'd like to create a discussion in regards to both the Home page of a website and the About page.What is the difference between the Home page and the About page?
