Something has gone haywire with my website's menu. Compare:https://bassett.net with https://arleneeakle.com.Other than colors they used to work the same. On mine,... look at Replacement "Left Menu" until fixed... at the top. The resulting menu is what I used to have in the left sidebar, like the white/green menu in Arlene's sidebar. But now, I only see a tiny bit of it and most is "off screen". One day it was working fine, and the next it was broken. I noticed it about the same time my husband died and I'm just now having a bit of time to figure out what's wrong. I don't recall making any changes to the website around the time it broke but couldn't swear to it. Two other things about the same time. Like Arlene's right sidebar, I have an image that is at the top of the right menu that is missing. The other is that there is something making the top of the center panel indented. It's much more noticeable on https://www.bassett.net/pages/pets.shtml. Anybody see anything obvious?

Hi: I need to make an Anchor Link in Dreamweaver 2020. It used to be easy with the Insert Menu, but now it is Code -- with NO instructions! I was lucky to find "Properties" in Windows, but all Tutorials seem to be geared toward Dreamweaver 2013 -- even the Adobe Chat guy gave me Menu instructions that no longer work -- then said to use this Forum. Very frustrated and way too much time trying to figure out what ysed to be very easy on Dreamweaver -- and no longer exists. Any help? 

I am using version 2.1 at the suggestion of support until they get the bugs out. I am Mac. I am sure the time I invested in learning BootStrap will pay off, but not today! The "Cards featue" I liked an be manually coded, and that may be best!!! I hope the get it working soon. I don't know. how to get a more up to date version, but will call Monday. Sso... disiregard the online tutorials. Theyare not for  the latest version? or not for Mac. Good luck everyone. 

I am using Bootstrap 4 for my page and this Nav bar. While in full screen it all looks good , I am battling with the layout when resizing the screen for mobile phone.Firstly I would like to have the contents on the right instead of left andSecondly, would it be possible to limit the horizontal size to only extend as far as the contents go.Please see attached screenshot.Thanks for all help and advice, regards Ed  

I've been using Macromedia Dreamweaver 8 (code view only) since it first came out.  I tried Adobe's later versions a couple times over the years, but found them uglier, slower, and less reliable.  So I stuck with Dreamweaver 8. This week our server was upgrade to a version which no longer supports whatever [outdates] SSH ciphers Dreamweaver 8 uses.  The server folks are unwilling to make security exceptions for me, so they said I should switch to a newer version of Dreamweaver.  I've been trying Dreamweaver 21.5 but find it ugly, slow, buggy, and harder to use (especially when it comes to file management) than Dreamweaver 8.  I've said as much to the server folks and they said I could try to use Dreamweaver 8 with an SSH proxy, but I don't know how to do that. So my question are: Does anyone here have experience with getting older versions of Dreamweaver (like the late, great version 😎 to connect to servers which require new SFTP ciphers?

In Dreamweaver 21.5's Files window, each file has </> or <?> to the left of it (followed by a lock icon or check mark).   I don't mind the lock icons and check marks, but what is the point of the "</>" and "<?>"?  They are ugly and don't tell me anything interesting. Is there a way to turn off the "</>" and "<?>"? Thanks! 

I do all my work in coding view (PHP, HTML, CSS, JS), and usually have 10-20 tabs open.  I'm constantly switching between them. Sometimes when I switch to a tab, the wrong file's contents are visible.  For example, yesterday I switched to a .php file's tab, but Dreamweaver shows me the contents of an HTML file instead.   I switched to other tabs, and they looked fine, but when I switched back to the "bad" PHP tab, it still showed me HTML.  I then closed and restarted Dreamweaver, and this time that PHP tab showed the correct contents. So, it seems like Dreamweaver 21.5 got "confused" and associated the wrong file's contents with a tab. Has this happened to anyone else? And is there a way to prevent it from happening? Thanks!

Having just purchased the latest Dreamweaver I am totally lost in maintaining some older .asp sites. I added the extension to bring back the database bindings but I am yet to find anyplace to move the recordset fields into my html. Is there another extension I need to purchase that makes it like the old Dreamweaver 8 or am I going to have to abandon the new Dreamweaver and run an installation of Windows 7 with DW8? Am I missing something? I am an old dog so it is hard for me to learn new tricks. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Phil

Every time I start Dreamweaver with the "Reopen documents on startup" option active, the file associated with the right most tab fails to show its hidden characters, whilst the other files do. I have to close the file then reopen it if I want to see the tabs, space etc. It's not a major bug, but it shouldn't be happening. Does anybody else have this issue and is there a fix?

[Due to a server upgrade, I was recently forced to switch from Macromedia Dreamweaver 8 to Adobe Dreamweaver 21.5.  I've encountered several issues with Dreamweaver 21.5.  This is one of them.] In Dreamweaver 8, you can reposition tabs by dragging them left or right.   In Dreamweaver 21.5, when I drag tabs left/right, I must be releasing them too high or something, because they often end up opening a new coding window/pane, which is really annoying.  I then have to carefiully drag the new window's tab back down to the original window's tab list.  This takes time.  Time which I could have spend coding. Is there a way to prevent Dreamweaver 21.5 from opening multiple coding windows, specifically when repositioning tabs? Also, while on the subject of tabs, Dreamweaver 8 lets you scroll through all the tabs horizontally.  Dreamweaver 21.5 instead has a double-arrow thing on the right which lets you select tabs from a drop-down.&nb

Version: 21.5Windows  OS 11 I am trying to build the Bayside Beat Website and in part 6 where you have to style the linksIn question 2 you are asked: In the text section of the Properties pane, set the font-weight property to bold.However there is nothing (please see attached screenshot) as you can see there is no type section, all I have is the Bold, Italic, OL and Ul. Also the position assit does not pop up. The drag and drop for positionig images does not work. I must admit, that I have been away from dreamweaver for a couple of years. I have checked the help articles. I would like some clarification as to the problems mentioned. I plan to use dreamweaver for Emai Design and it would be nice to have an idea as to the changes. Please advise.

Dreamweaver se queda colgado siempre que lo abro. No entiendo qué pasa, pero me estoy empezando a hartar de estos programas. No funcionan bien Acrobat, Dremweaver, Photoshop y After Effects. Si no los arreglan me doy de baja. No voy a pagar por algo que no funciona.

Adobe you;re obviously killing the Dreaweaver app so how much would it cost purchase it ?

We use DWTs as the basis for a web site. For a few weeks now, dreamweaver on mac is crashing every single time i use it. Is it being fased out? will it be replaced with something else? i need to know, so i can switch to a different app if it is being dropped.

Hello,I am working on updating a site using a template. Everything has come along well except that there are some unwanted horizontal lines appearing on top of the graphic and the page areas. I've gone all through the code and cannot figure out how to get rid of them. Can anyone help?rideskat.org/index4.html 

We encountered an issue with the image map rendering—specifically in Outlook mobile apps. Currently, the default width for an image is 600px.On devices with a screen width less than 600px, the expected behaviour is:The image scales down to fit the screen.The image map coordinates scale proportionally with the image.This works as expected in Gmail mobile, where both the image and the map coordinates scale properly. However, in Outlook mobile, while the image may appear scaled using CSS, the image map coordinates do not scale, resulting in incorrect click targets. 

My Template all of a sudden  ould not be updates  All of a sudden, I get this funny error message, but the file exists locally and on the server.    I have deleted it and reloaded a new copy, and get the same thing?  I am now sure what to do next!! The URL is:  http://lilesnet.com/july4th/2025/index.htm     BTW, when I attempt to edit this page using Dreamweaver, I also get "File Deleted" message. Any assistance would be appreciated!! 

I am a long time Dreamweaver user and designed/ built my own website for our company a long time ago... but I am very slow and inefficient at it.  We are now redesigning and building the site since it shows its age and unprofessional origin.  I have a designer chosen and am currently working on the overall look of the homepage (and a few others), but I would like to hire someone else to build it for me.  I would then be able to take over after completion, and as we move forward, I can make adjustments using my own SW (Dreamweaver CS5 Version 11).  Do you guys know where I can go to post this request?[Moderator moved from The Lounge to Dreamweaver support forum​.]

Does Adobe have plans to update Dreamweaver or make a new software to replace it as web page design software? Just wondering if I should just dump Dw and look for something more in-time option. No offence but Dw is starting to drop from the wagon. I've been using Dw since the Macromedia days but now I am in doubt. Last "update" on 2022.. not a good look.

So I cancelled the install and so far I'm in for 20 minutes "Canceling" and I have no Dreamweaver to use to get work I have to do, done.  It's 2025 and Adobe still can't get this right?  Why can't I just download the file and install it manually?  It's bad enough that my Adobe stocks are deep underwater ($400 a share today?),  but I can't even use the program I've had a subscription to for several years... Win11 Enterprise, high powered media production workstation, btw... if that matters. Has anyone managed to  surmount this situation? I've made an container-fluid and placed an image in it (a little bit transparant) but I want to place a few (7) roll-over buttons over the image and they have to be placed a little bit more to the botton of the container-fluid. I thougt maybe I can make a container in that container-fluid an put an grid row in it but the collumns are to small(because the images I want to use are to big). So I've tryed to do it with tables but I can't get them down to the bottom of the image. Can someone give me a hint how I can fix it? I also want to make the tables transparant so I don't have the grids.

I am entirely self taught on the fly and trying to update part of our website. I need to make this section into either all 5 links on a single row or a into two rows with 3 in the first row and 2 on the second. I haven't the slightest clue what to do and googling blindly isn't working.
