Has anyone noticed that the illustrator has lost a lot of functions and super crap since the update? I can't even round the corners on my text since turning the live text to outlines and it's constantly glitching out..

when i am trying to maximize the illustrator on my mac. it is showing plus symbol on my mac. and little bigbut not full view of illustrator i am able to see.attaching screenshot that my illustrator is not opening full view. it is showing me task bar. or minimize view. i can able to view desktop icons too.   

I want to Copy & Paste this Gradient to other sides exactly with the same appearance. How can it be done?

hi, i am using pantone colors for printing files, while opening file i got this message, i changed the setting butagain i am getting this message.  

Is there anyway to isolate the gold V in my logo? I want to use just that letter in another item. I have in a vector file and i can ungroup but can't upload not copy just the gold V. Thank you so much for the help. chris

Hi!I have an issue of which I don't know if it is a feature or a bug:the file I've creted and worked with over the last month now suddenly opens in TWO tabs: even named "..file.ai:1" and "..file.ai:2" (with a colon after the file type) . They are connected so if I change something in one file, the other one does the same change immediately. Even saving as a new file won't change this behaviour. Still two tabs out of one file.Does anyone know what this is? Did I accidentally hit a shortcut for any "special-duplicate-view"?I appreciate your answers!Thanks!

I downloaded a tutorial image file for the practice lesson. when i begin the new lesson, the file does not automatically load and i am unsure where to find it?

I get a spinning ball for 10-20 seconds every time I click the Help > Search feature on MacOS Sonoma + Illustrator 28.5.  MacBook Air M2 24GB memory.

Hello Team, the general overall font size for the AI applicaiton is too small. How do i increase the overall font size for the application? 

Why is creating gradients on editable fonts so hard? Why is it different then adding a gradient color to a shape? There is no good reason to make it this complicated. It is everything but intuitive or handy to use. It should work exactly the same as with shapes to optimize workflow. All the extra steps via the appearance panel, just make it inconvenient and annoying. Its also not possible to manually adjust the angle of a gradient on the stroke of an editable type. Even when you change it to outlines, its still not possible to use the gradient tool to adjust the angle easily. why why why is this so counter-intuitive ? 

we've noticed that Illustrator sometimes does not honor linked or embedded color profiles as expected. The  .ai files that we use include a specific custom color profile that has a wider color gamut, Illustrator appears to sometimes ignore this profile and instead defaults to the working space. This can lead to noticeable color shifts when we print.We've found that manually assigning the intended color profile for these specific instances within Illustrator (via Edit > Assign Profile) can correct the appearance. This seems to only happen to specific files, others come out as expected, it also appears to be an issue that started recently, about a month ago. The color management in both illustrator and photoshop are set to preserve embedded profiles. We save a file as a tiff in photoshop under our custom color profile. We drag it into a blank canvas in illustrator, its not a linked file. We copy over a label that was made in indesign, then save as an .ai file. We d

Hi! I have been having trouble opening a file I made years ago. I guess I was excited about this project, and I put an exclaimation point in an AI file name (Learned my lesson there). Thats the only reason I can come up with as to why this file won't open. This file is from 2021, I have given up and retried many times to open it. I have: - Made a copy, saved as any file type I can think of - Taken all punctuation out, renamed files- Tried to open in PS, acrobat, even distiller for EPS formats- Tried to download a previous version of illustrator, they only offer the current and previous year. Besides digging out my old laptop to see if I can get anything to work on it, I'm out of options. This is a personal project file so its not like anything is at risk as far as client/job info, I just really would like to finish this project without starting over! Also I cannot upload the file to this forum even, because the file type is not supported. I really have no idea how I mana

I see this shortcut in the menu for Send to Current Layer.What key does the last icon pertain to?And why doesn't this menu item appear in the list to create keyboard shortcuts?

Hola! Quería consultar por qué motivo cuando coloco una imagen pesada en un archivo nuevo se me cambia el modo Previsualizar a Vista previa de CPU. Al cambiarse el modo se me desactiva el zoom animado (por más que lo tenga activado desde Preferencias). Si alguien tuvo este problema me ayudaría su consejo! Gracias.

My hand tools get stuck when starting  illustrator. When I try to change them it doesn't work. I can't continue working like this. Does anyone know how to solve this. My system and programs are up to date

I have used illustrator and photoshop for decades without difficulty. I just updated to illustrator 25.5.1  and photoshop  26.6.1 and am now rather frustrated; I modify an image in photoshop, save it with a transparent background (I have tried saving as every type of file), but no matter what I do, the image still opens in illustrator with a white background instead of transparent. This also occurs when I open imagges that were cfreated and saved in prior photoshop versions (and that I have opened in prior illustrator versions without difficulty). I have tried everything I can think of and everything I have read, including uninstalling and re-installing both programs. Nothing has worked and I am unable to do my work. Does anyone have a solution? Adobe?

Hola, Me sale de forma contínua este error desde hace una semana  Ya he desinstalado, vuelto a instalar, he bajado a una verisón anterior y no hay manera de que se solucione, estoy perdiendo horas de trabajo por culpa de esto. ¿Cómo puedo solucionarlo? Trabajo con un  MACStudio M2 Max de 32 GB con Sequuio 15.5. Nunc he tenido problemas hasta ahora   

I have severla .ai files in dropbox that I downloaded on a new computer. The files will not open in illustrator. When I try to open them illustrator says the format is unknown and cannot be opened.  Anyone having the same/similar issue? I attached a screenshot of the message I received.

Hey! I'm new to scripting, and I'm trying to find a solution to what should be such a simple problem.I'm trying to duplicate a layer with a script, but as of now, it seems there's no an easy way. Somebody suggested that I should create an action that duplicates a layer, and then call that action from my code. But I can't seem to get an action to duplicate a layer, it just doesn't register it.So, does anybody have an already working code for something like this, if not, can somebody point me in the right direction to code this myself?

Unlike InDesign, this function does go to the folder, but it doesn't select the file.I assume this is a bug and not how Adobe intends it to work.
