good morning,I have to produce the set of icons to represent an app on different platforms and contexts.I am able to produce images at different resolutions but having no previous experience in producing icons for Android and IOS APPs, so I would like help.From what I understand from the request I received, each size corresponds to a specific requirement requested by the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Required sizes for Android and iOS: 72x72, 48x48, 96x96, 144x144, 192x192if I understood correctly, these resolutions are mainly used for Android on devices with various pixel densities (mdpi, hdpi, xhdpi, xxhdpi, xxxhdpi). 20x20, 29x29, 40x40, 60x60, 76x76if I understand correctly, these resolutions are mainly used for iOS in contexts such as notifications, spotlight and main icon, with multipliers (1x, 2x, 3x) indicating Retina densities. 167x167: required size for icons on iPad devices.I have the logo for the APP in vector format, so I can produce quality ou

Stroke weight of two images are same. I wish to delete all strokes of second image by using Magic Wand Tool but it did not work. I also tried with having different weight to images but it did not work as well. How to fix it? File attached as well. Illustrator Logo Design Process       

It would be incredibly useful for future projects if we could convert text-based vectors back into real text.

I am trying to log into the noun project's plugin inside Adobe Illustrator, but I can't do it because the Captcha is gone. There is just a grey box where the captcha should be, and it tells me I can't log in because I haven't checked the Captcha. P.s this is not just for Illustrator, but also Photoshop, but I posted it here because I couldn't find a Adobe plugin general thread.

I am using Adobe Illustrator Beta.  when i place a psd file and attemp to embed the psd it changes the psd to horizontal lines.  My psd is a RGB file and the illustrator file is RGB also.  The PSD is mostly black and white.  The background is white.  I tried a second psd with color back and more color and that psd was fine with embedding.  I will attach a image of how it looks after I embed.  I reset my illustrator and still having this problem.  Please help. 

I moved all of the panels out of the dock area to reorganize them and now I can't get them to dock back into the right side of the workspace.

Hey. What are the chances of Adobe offering a discount on the suite subscription until they manage to fix this browser hiding behind other programmes issue. I mean, its been years now so theyre either not capable of fixing it or arent interested in doing so. If the subscription was £10 cheaper I'd feel less annoyed with the bug. Can an Adobe person respond please? Its a widespread issue. Thanks Dylan  

Hello,  I have always used a dxf file to engrave jewelry. Now suddenly it doesn't load anymore in my program, i didn't change any settings in my illustrator.If i try to load an older dxf file, there is no problem..Anyone who can help please?

I don't know if I'm posting this in the right place - because this my issue pertains to both Illustrator and After Effects, possibly other CC apps, but I haven't checked. At some point in the past month, the way Illustrator and After Effects renders the font "Lato" changed. In the image below, you can see what I mean, the spacing between characters is out of wack: (The green text is how the text is resolving now, and the red text is how it used to look) I tried adjusting the tracking, and for some lines I can get it close, but not exactly: I've tried Optical and Metric kerning, and while I get different results for both, neither are correct. My client supplied the AI file, and they want an exact representation of their design. Part of my workflow is to copy the Illustrator text and paste it in After Effects, so that I'm able to animate the text. As a work-around, the client has provided me with a new AI file in which they've converted all the text to outli

Hello,I am a graphic design major in my first year of college. I use illustrator and photoshop on a daily bases for projects.As of recently my files on illustrator from school will not open at home, stating the error "The file "" is an unknown format and cannot be opened".For photoshop files I am given the error "Could not complete your request because photoshop does not recognize this type of file".Any file saved at school I cannot open at home, even if I previously was able to. At school we have the new apple IMac computers and at home I have a regular PC (I'm not sure of any specs or how to locate them). I was wondering if anyone had any soluctions because this is getting in the way of my schooling and potential career.Thank you for your time

Hi, there are some interface issue that are pretty wrong in Illustrator.1. I'm working on 4k screen 32 inch at native resolution and scaling UI is terrible. Scaling to second setting makes everthing too big compared to first setting. It's like twice that big. I wander what the other scaling steps are for? Scaling should be made in smaller steps. Every 5% at max.  The fist setting is too small, fonts are tiny, the second is way too big. Could you please make smalles steps or give us option to scale interface smooothly by 1%? Photoshop, AE or Premiere has correct base scale. Please at last make the IU same size as in those apps.2. Text, paragraph, transform, apperance etc properties on right panels are shortened to few options. Everytime I want to acces other options I have to press 3 dots to show remainng options. What is this? Why are you making editng hard? Please make all options visible at once.

Hi, recently I've been observing a strange behaviour in Illustrator.When I "Unlock all objects" (CMD+alt+2) some (though not all) layers are unlocked. Expected behaviour: Only objects that I have previously locked (CMD+2) will be unlocked, layers that I have locked in the layers panel should remain so. Is this intended behaviour or is it a bug? It did not use to be this way (and should not imo). Am I missing something? Is anyone experiencing the same? Illustrator 29.1 on a MacBook 

I upgraded to a higher-end laptop, but the following screen appears during use, and the software won’t run. I’ve already had an engineer check it, and they confirmed that the motherboard, memory, and graphics card are all fine. What else could be causing this?Laptop: ThinkPad / AMD PRO7 

Hi,I have a svg barcode and also a pdf logo. Two different files from two different sources. Both hat back only components, which are CMYK.When I open Illustrator and select all, then go to the colors and change to K100, all seems to work. Then I save (tested localy, on a served, same name and different name), close the file, reopen it, and the back is again CMYK.I can add other compontent and those save, so it is just the color I might be using wrong somehow? I have also tested with Versions 28.0, 28.7.3 and 29.1, so it must be something I am doing wrong. Is there some kind of "save black as cmyk in illustrator"? Any ideas, what I could try?Thanks!

Laut meinen Recherchen sollte das Gerät mehr als genug Power für Adobe Illustrator haben. Leider habe ich ein großes Problem: Die App stürzt ständig ab, sobald ich in einer Datei Motive verschiebe, verkleinere oder die Stiftart ändere. Ich habe insgesamt sechs Motive in separaten Dateien erstellt und wollte sie jetzt in einer Datei zusammenfügen, um weiter daran zu arbeiten. Aber jedes Mal, wenn ich es versuche, friert Illustrator ein oder schliesst sich komplett. Hat jemand ähnliche Erfahrungen gemacht oder weiss, wie man das Problem lösen kann? Ich wäre super dankbar für jeden Tipp! Viele Grüsse und schon mal danke!

Window menus is not showing all the options. What could be done to fix this?

Not sure if this is the right place to put new thoughts on the update but I'll include one critique I have.   I am not enjoying the new Image Trace. I have an image of B&W half tone dots and have spent hours fiddling with the new Image Trace settings trying to get the circles to be expanded into vectors.   However, whenever I Image Trace, the circles lose their perfect shape and morph into oblongs. I was confused as to why this was happening, as previously I had done it with zero difficulty. After hours of playing with the paths, corners, noise, and all the other Image Trace settings, I had finally re-downloaded v28.   Lo and behold, easy Image Trace, with my circles remaining circles, not oblongs.   If I am missing something, please advise, otherwise I much prefer v28's Image Trace function.

Hello,  I'm having a problem installing, for example, Illustrator. I get an error message about an outdated system, even though it's up to date, and I can't open data with installer to just Creative Cloud. What I can do?

I have an SSD. not an old HDD. %100 same computer as before. I had to reinstall windows and as soon as I installed my usual adobe products, the illustrator is super laggy. There is nothing else being open. There are barely any other softwars installed. There might be like 5 apps on this pc altogether. All drivers including gpu drivers are up-to-date. GPU is enabled in settings. I did not import over any old files or settings. It should work flawlessly, but it doesn't. Keep in mind, it's a fresh windows install.. There aren't anything to rename or delete to see if it runs better.

I've created a graphic comprising of three concentric circles, each with it's own colour gradient tint.When I zoom in closely there are, what look like, fragments of solid colour at the edges of the gradient - image inserted for reference. Why is this and can I get rid of it? Help much appreciated - thanks in advance.

HI allI have a 3rd party script that i want to have a keyboard shortcut but it doesnt allow me to locate it in the keyboard shortcuts menu, any suggestions, i use this shortcut alot, but its too many steps to locate it, over and over 

 I am trying to ask a question in this forum, and provide the sample files, both generated in Illustrator, but when I want to attach them, again and again I get this sign in the red frame... I really do not know what it refers to, because in the InDesign forum, I was able to attach sample files generated in InDesign, but it does not allow me to attach the illustrator files here. I attach the screenshot where can be seen that the files are from illustrator, and that it is their extension. What is the error here? Thank you.
