Questions

Can either add or explain how to change the Screen zoom function to include 1000%. It currently jumps from 800% to 1200%. As I frequently work in 1/10th scale I frequently need to check image quality at 1000% which would be actual print size.  I work on large mural images. LMKthank you 

so I am fairly now to illustrator and I ran into a problem. I can not use any of my tools except the selection tools. I can move things around but I cant type or use the eyedropper or anything.Any help would be greatly appreciated!Morgan Fude

I am creating applied vinyl graphics for large irregular vases and want to be able to fill the repeating segments with complicated graphics that will be continuous from one segment to another. If I use Envelope Distort to try to fill the irregular shape with the graphic, it skews the whole thing. Really, I just want to distort the graphic horizontally. I've tried using the 3D settings to map the graphic onto a plane, but it just leaves it as a rectangle. Photoshop has no options for filling shapes that I can find either. Does anyone have any ideas on how to do this?  On the attached image, the first object is the graphic, the second is the shape (12 of these make the whole vase), and the third shows how messed up the Envelope Distort is. Using a Mesh is OK, but lacks the perfection I need for this to look seamless across the whole vase.

The original document (ai.) had a transparent background when I imported it into InDesign. I wanted to change the color from green to white and when I did so, then  "saved as" the background appears white. help!!   

How do I populate this tool in the upper left corner of the screen?  It just has the no fill and registration icons.  Thanks. 

I have a Dell XPS 15 9530 i7with Nvidia RTX 4060 and 64 GB Ram.I have one SSD with 500 Gb. I have 150 GB free spaceIm running windows 11 home Everything including drivers are 100% upgraded.Im running illustrator 2025Photoshop , After Effects, Premiere Pro, Light burn etc.. Everything is upgraded regularly. I plan on upgrading SSD to Samsung 990 Pro 4 tb.My system requirements are well above the minimum required and yet I experience crashes daily sometimes hourly.  I know this is somewhat off the main subject of illustrator but when using after effects I let the application decide gpu settings instead of doing custom settings and I have less crashes. Nvidia is now stating illustrator and after effects doesn't support optimization. I'm so frustrated. I'm a semi advanced designer and can't design because I spend more time trying to cirmumnavigate crash after crash.Please Help!!!

Haciendo que sea tedioso abrir cualquier documento que contiene ficheros enlazados dentro.Como sabrán, podemos almacenar muchos ficheros enlazados dentro de un mismo archivo, y el problema es el siguiente:Cuando el ordenador (windows 10 pro) trata de abrir el fichero en cuestión, abre una ventana emergente solicitando la ruta del fichero enlazado. Este procedimiento se repite en cada uno de los ficheros que contenga el archivo, aunque marques la casilla de "buscar dentro de la misma ruta".Hay veces que hemos llegado a estar casi una hora para abrir un fichero.Ya no es que tarde en abrir, o en buscar los ficheros, es que no automatiza la búsqueda por su cuenta como pasaba en versiones antertiores. Esto nos obliga a estar delante del ordenador asignando la ruta en cada uno de los ficheros que solicite, que sin son 5, 10 o 1000, pues cada uno de ellos tocará poner el nombre del fichero en el buscador para que

I’m new to illustrator and think I might be searching using the wrong terms. I own a small crafting business and I purchase a lot of designs (.png) from Etsy however I generally need to modify the colors of certain parts of the images. I also need to send these images off for printing (UV DTF Decals, DTF Transfers, etc.) which require me to remove the backgrounds of the images. I have been able to view enough videos to get my desired output but I’m hoping there is a faster way or less steps being that I have to do this to several designs as I customize per order.  This leads me to my two questions…. When I image trace, I always choose High Fidelity Photo but this brings back sometimes more than 60 colors. Is there no way to just click on the part of the image that I want to change the color of? Or someway to get back a smaller result without compromising my image?When I need to remove the background of an image I always run into an issue with the insides of letters. When

Läuft Illustrator geht mein Computer nicht mehr in den Stromsparmodus. Bildschirm dunkelt nicht ab oder geht aus, auch noch Stunden der Inaktivität. Liegt es an einer falschen Einstellung oder an Illustrator?Horrende Bildschirmzeiten…, weiss jemand Rat? Egal welche Version (27 bis 29.1), egal ob Macbook Pro (OS 15.2) oder Ipad.   

I'm trying to create a row of lines that exactly match the shapes of the vineyard lines in this image, but I'm stuck.   A blend was my first thought, but the lines quickly get distorted and the curves get ugly. I can get somewhat close with an envelope distort using a custom object (just attempting to do one side), but the lines aren't quite right. They should curve leftward toward the bottom-left, but dont. Here's a copy of the AI file you can download and play with. (I tried to upload it here but am getting an error message.) Thanks in advance for any help! 

I have looked at countless posts and tried pretty much everything I can think of to fix this issue. I am creating a model and using a glowforge laser cutter to make it. The issue I keep having is when I export my files they appear much smaller then the original size. I have checked my measurements several times and I have tried clicking unresponsive, changing to embed, link, or preserve, changing the artboard size, fitting the artboard to the artwork, etc. I can't seem to find the problem. I am newer to adobe Illustrator and I'm definitely new to glowforge machines, so I'm sure this is a simple issue that I'm just misunderstanding, but any input or help would be appreciated.

Hi,We are having an issue with color rendition when printing an illustrator doc that has assets with opacity or shadow applied to them. The print has a yellowish tint to it.We have had the printer checked by the canon technicians who confirm that the issue is with the print dialog side not the printer - Canon Imagepress C265 less than 12 months old.'Print 01' shows a screenshot of the PDF and 'Print 02' shows the printed file...What can I do to end up with an accurate colour rendered print image.Thanks in advance...Phil

When I print my file directly from Adobe Illustrator, the print comes out fine. However, when I save the file as a PDF using the "PDF/X-3:2002" settings and try to print it from Adobe Acrobat, some areas of the illustration print with white blocks over them. There are no hidden layers in the file, so I'm unsure why this is happening.I need to send the PDF to a client, but I don’t want the random white blocks to appear. Has anyone encountered this issue or have a solution?

Any time I select a new font, or start typing, the font switches back to the first font I was typing in. This means every time I type a character, anywhere, it doesn't save what the new font should be? What's causing this?

Has anyone else had this issue? illustrator freezes multiple times a day. It is not a regular freeze. I am working on a MacBook it does not say 'not responding'. Also, the top bar on Illustrator opens and lets me click around but does not actually do anything. I attached a video so u can see what's going on. I really don't want to force quit.  Anyone know of any solutions?   I tried keeping track of what makes it happen, sometimes its if i close my laptop, open another program like photoshop or like today when i was disconnected from wifi for a moment

When I make a new paragraph style with bullets or numbering  in an Illustrator document, I would like to reuse that. When I copy the style to the CC library, and apply that in a new document: the bulletstyle or numbering is lost. Instead when I copy the textbox to the library, and place that in a new document, the paragraph styles behave identical to how they did in the original document. I would suggest to make an improvement there, and not break the functionality of the paragraphstyles when used in a proper way through the library.. 

It's numbing - the performance of v29 is WAY SLOWER than when I had v28. I'm trying to find where I can download legacy versions of Adobe Illustrator.Can someone help?

Hello everyone,I recently translated a pdf via Adobe express.When I open the Adobe Express export in Illustrator, it automatically vectorizes the fonts even though they are well incorporated and editable in Acrobat Pro.I've been looking for a solution for a long time but haven't been able to find it.I have already tried to go back to .ps, also .ps which I have distilled into all the possible pdf versions, I have also tried .eps but nothing works.Do you have any ideas? Thank you.

Hi,Anyone having issue with saving a layered ai file as psd and importing into photoshop with layers?Currently the psd imported does not import with layers even though write layers and maximum editability is selected.

I have a freshly installed ne AI license on a brand new IMAC and system crashes repeatedly and frequently. I suspect problem may be connected to LINKED files. any advice other than to sign out -in again?
