Questions

I have set up an extensive CC library for my job with elements and logos, all with transparent backgrounds. Today, I noticed, that all my elements now have a white background, even though I haven't edited the individual elements. Is anyone else experiencing this?

This is such as strange bug but it keeps happening and can't imagine it being a feature. I've been doing some testing with it, and when my computer's clock hits 56 seconds, it will input the character ~ into whatever text box I'm typing in.  This only happens in Adobe Illustrator. I have two keyboards but to input the character, it needs the Shift key and the # key at the same time, and these are not being touched at the same time every minute. If I don't have a textbox selected, nothing will happen. If I have a textbox on, or have selected text at 56 seconds on the clock, it will occur.  Has anything like this happened to anyone else or does anyone know of a fix or a way I can reset Illustrator. I don't really want to reinstall but I could try it. It's just such a strange bug, I don't really know why it's happening.

Hi! When I export the design I created in Illustrator to PNG the color value changes by 1-2%. Does anybody know any solution on why this is happening. Thank you!

Come on Adobe!  Illustrator and Acrobat are so similar, so much so that you can continue to edit a PDF after you save it out of Illustrator, yet there are ZERO accessibility features in Illustrator. Before all you keyboard warriors jump on me about using InDesign instead of Illustrator, lets talk real world usage. I create single one page ads, with images, graphics and custom text. I am not using Illustrator for multipage documents...  In these single page documents, there are custom masks for images, text treatments, etc. stuff that InDesign doesn't do. So in the world that you want me to use InDesign it takes 4 times longer, as I have to create it in Illustrator, save it out, jump into InDesign place it, etc. if it needs tweaks, rinse and repeat. Now the State of Colorado has mandated that all PDF's hosted by us (a govt. agency) has to be Accessible. Now I have to open Acrobat and try to figure out how to make a PDF accessible that should have been easily tagged i

Hello, I'm a complete begginer to Illustrator scripting and I hope you can help me with this problem. I'm trying to:Call an action within an action set using Jsx. My problem is that using app.doScript() to call on the action does not load the steps in the action that uses scripts.Ex. ACTION11. Alignment2. Color3. JSX ScriptIf I just run ACTION1 on its own, it completes all steps. But when I use app.doScript(), it runs steps 1 and 2, but gets a "currently not available" on step 3. I know that I can just use a single script to achieve the objective of all 3 steps, but I have multiple actions that have combinations of recorded steps + script so I can't redo them all.Is there  a way around this?

I recently experienced a frustrating situation with Adobe Illustrator on my Mac. After two hours of work, I accidentally closed a file without saving, mistaking it for a different document. Upon realising my error, I attempted to recover the file, spending an additional two hours searching for a solution. I managed to locate the .aid file but cannot open it.My questions are:Why isn't Autosave functioning properly in Illustrator?Is there a way to recover my work?How can I prevent this issue from occurring in the future?Additional details:I'm using the latest version of Illustrator on a Mac with up-to-date software.The .aid file is visible, but I can't open it.I've already spent considerable time trying to find a solution online.Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Hi, The results displayed after using the dimension tool is massive. As seen in the photo below, how can i make it... normal? I've seen youtube videos and theirs look about normal. Any help is appreciated.

En estas ultimas versiones estamos notando que no podemos enlazar varios archivos a la vez, una verdadera complicacion para nosostros... donde hay días que tenemos que reemplazar hasta 300 archivos, que antes los reemplazabamos con "reemplazar todo" y ahora es uno por uno..En la ventana flotante de enlace de archivos ... desaperecio el reemplasar todo Lamentablemente van cambiando y eliminando herramientas... que lo unico que hacen es complicarnos la tarea.Si alguien sabe si es posible recuperar esto desde ya les agradecemosSaludos

O que é preciso para estar habilitada a função substituir lombada? Estou seguindo a risca tutoriais e para mim a função substituir lombada está sempre desabilitada.Eu faço a linha, faço o desenho (circulos, por exemplo) seleciono tudo, e não deixa fazer.

Hi, i recently upgraded my subscription to Creative Cloud because i needed Photoshop and InDesign, problem is, i am paying for Illustrator seperate, why? Does anyone know what i can do? I just want to pay for the Creative Cloud, why should i pay for Illustrator seperately if i literally upgraded to a plan that already has Ai? Any help is appreciated. I also have no idea how to reach Adobe customer service.

Hello AllWe have developed a Illustrator plugin, the plugin is functioning correctly on our development systems (Windows 10/11 Home), but it fails to load properly on a client's machine running Windows 10 Pro. The only message displayed at startup is "This plugin has issues," without any detailed information.I am seeking your assistance in identifying the exact cause of this failure. Specifically, I would like guidance on:1. Where to locate or enable detailed logs for plugin load failures within Adobe Illustrator. 2. Any common compatibility issues between plugins and different Windows editions or with antivirus software such as Kaspersky. 3. Recommended steps to diagnose and resolve this issue. I have not been able to locate any logs that provide further details on the problem. Please help.I load a PNG in Illustrator. However when it loads it doesn't load right. It loads HUGE. When I try and move it, it says:"Can't move the objects.The requested transformation would make some objects too large."I am pulling my hair out here. Why the hell can't Illustrator just open a bloody PNG and allow me to edit it?!Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hello,I'm trying to apply an offset effect on a shape, but the menu of options wont open. The effect does appear in the appearance window, but nothing happens when i click to edit the effect. I'm doing it in Effects> Path> Offset Path , but Objetc> Path > Offset Path isn't working eather.  

Hi is there a way to save multiple layers at once in Illustrator? I need them to be saved along with the artboard because they need to stay in a fixed place now it looks like this:1) Hide all layers except one2)File-Export-Export as3)Name the file4)Click "Use Artboards"5)Click "OK" Png Optionsand so on a hundred times(( I would really appreciate it if there is some way to do this automatically*Saving along with the artboard is mandatory Thanks) 

Would like to know how to use the Image Trace effectively in Illustrator 2020 version. I used to be able to do it effortlessly in Illustrator CS6. How do I image trace all straight lines, all right angles? Please help! Thanks!

Even though I have Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator installed, I'm getting the following message:"Get an app to open this 'adbai' link. Your PC doesn't have an app that can open this link. Try looking for a compatible app in the Microsoft Store."I have checked my apps and everything seems up to date. Has anyone else faced this issue or knows how to resolve it? Hola, necesito ayuda para acceder a la versión editable de un archivo de Illustrator en el que estuve trabajando y al que hoy, no puedo acceder más que parcialmente y como PDF.Mi archivo AI está guardado en mi disco duro y veo en "recientes" las miniaturas de mi trabajo pero, al abrirlo, me sale el mensaje y no puedo acceder al archivo. Adjunto captura del mensaje que hoy no me permite recuperarlo. ¿Qué puedo hacer? 

I am having issues with Read-write permissons with Illustrator on Mac, I have followed this guide Preferences folder read-only error | Permissions issue (adobe.com), however the problem is that we have mutiple Macs with mutiple users signing in to those Macs via Active Directory. I was wondering if there is a solution to fix the permissions system wide instead of going in to each users folder and doing it manually.  

JUST ONCE I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE ADOBE STOP TINKERING POINTLESSLY WITH THIER APPS!!!!!Just when you think you have mastered an app like Illustrator the fools go and completely F it up with random nosensical changes to tools, set-up, etc. Seriously, Adobe, you are pushing me more and more to just move over to using all of Affinity's apps becuase dealing with your nonsense proves tiresome.

Working on Adobe Illustrator CC 18 (20.0.1) on a mac running OS 10.11.6. A number of my toolbars are not providing dropdown menus. More specifically, I cannot click on the arrow next to the type size to see a drop down of menu options. Noticed the same for Transparency tool; the drop down does not work so I cannot change the transparency effect. Has anyone experienced this issue and found a fix? Thanks.

Hi everybody.The illustrator crashes from time to time (not all the time) when I export file to postscript (ps).Ive update my MAC to latest OS system and also updated my Adobe illustrator to the newest version.Also ive tried many other Ideas such as Formating my computer, installing old version of illustrator, cleaning tmp files and fix memory problems but all this doesn't work for me. please help meI have OS sonoma 14.6
