I can't for the life of me figure out how to stop these insanely annoying popup 'tips' every time i select a tool i haven't used in a while. There seems to be a different way to turn these off for each product, turning some options off doesn't always work and its really starting to bug the hell out of me. In illustrator for example I've unchecked the tool tips option in preferences, but I still get these massive intrusive buggers that disrupt my workflow!I 've been using Adobe software for over a decade and i really don't need to be told how to use the crop tool.Is there a way, hacky or not, to remove all of these at once for all products??

I'm trying to paint on an image and when I mouse over where I want to paint I get the "prohibited" symbol and can't paint. I opened other .jpgs and was able to paint with no problem. Is there a type of file that you can't use the paintbrush tool on? Please help!

Adobe software is spying on me. It is recording my screen without my permission again and again. and no it is not something that I haven't previously disabled on settings. It is getting activated again! I never give my permission for this. and it is breaking my privacy. Even with the permission disabled and app sometimes offline it continues to record the screen.   I have googled similar problems from other people they just say that they have to do it to get the colors with is lie. It works perfectly without a need to record the screen. It is a direct interference with my privacy.Anyone has any idea how to disable that? I have tried everything.

My AI just updated to 2024, the plug-in for Cutting Master 4 did not transfer over from the AI 2023 version. I really like CM4 more than CM5. CM5 is still new and a little buggy. I have tryed uninstalling CM4 and reinstalling it with AI shut down. It still didnt add the plug-in. So I went to Graphtec's website and looked at the system requirements for both CM4 and CM5, nither one say they support AI 2024.I would really like to use CM4, but if I HAVE TO upgrade to CM5 I will. Does anyone know what i can do here? I NEED this plugin to work!

I'm working in Illustrator and the text I am using requires an accent mark...think at the end of the word touche....it's not a comma or apostrophe it needs to be an accent mark. Is there keystroke combo out there to produce this?

Is there an option in radial repeat, to have each instance remain upright, like numerals on a clock, rather than rotate, so object in the 6:00 position isn't upside down

I’m working with packaging layouts in Illustrator and I’m curious how other designers organize their files when a dieline is involved.Do you normally keep the dieline on a separate locked layer, or do you use a different layer structure for artwork, cut lines, folds, and finishing elements?I’m also interested in how you handle bleed around irregular die-cut shapes. Do you extend the artwork manually, use clipping masks, or follow a specific workflow that makes revisions easier?For those who regularly work with packaging or print production, what file organization method has worked best for you?

Hey everyone! I need to check which pageItem inside the clip group is used as a mask, I’m right now stuck on TextFrame since it doesn’t expose the clipping property

So eyedropper tool is gone bunkers. See attached images. It doesent pick up wrong shade it picks up an entirely different colour. (Issue appeared since updated to the lates mac os sistem)  

There is an issue within Illustrator where a specific system font is missing from the MacOS. After a bit of testing, the font is functional in every other adobe software and text applications except for Illustrator. To be more specific, it has the regular font, but not the variables. It happened pretty suddenly and I’ve tried a few troubleshooting options, but I have not found anything as of yet. I would appreciate any help to prevent further problems down the line or at least know how to fix it if it arises again.

I am having trouble getting the anchor points to allign with the edge of the shape per my professor’s instruction. Is there a step missing? (see the professors video and my video for comparisions.) Link to the professor’s video:

Hi all,I’ve been trying for over a year to get a certain exact graphic effect for a book title. I’ve tried using the big AI engines (ugh!) and trying to follow along 50-step tutorials that never work. In the hands of a skilled designer this is probably a 10 minute job.What I am trying to achieve is to take the text of my book’s secondary title. Give it a 3D shimmering gold effect, then overlay an embossed black front to it. For anybody who’s ever seen the TV Show “The Amazing Race,” the show’s main title uses this effect and I fell it love with it 20 years ago, and I’d like to re-create it, only without the tilted perspective. How can I create this? Or failing that, is there anywhere or any site I can hire to do this for me? Please and thank you.

More often than not, when I open a new file and use the spacebar to navigate or to zoom, a window is immediately opened that has the prompt “enable”. I do not have any linked files, or anything that the document would be looking for, closing this window allows me to work normally but it is annoying! 

Since updating to Illustrator v 30.2.1 on Windows 11, I’ve been having a lot of problems relinking files. It will generally work correctly once or twice, and then when I try to relink any more files, nothing happens when I click the relink icon; ie, file explorer doesn’t open to let me choose a file to replace the link with. I end up having to close and reopen Illustrator to be able to relink any more files, and the cycle repeats. I rely on this functionality a lot in my day to day template based work, so I ended up reverting to 30.1, and everything is working perfectly again, so this appears to be a bug specific to the latest release.

Illustrator, from what I’ve seen, does not have a button to clear memory cache within the app, similar to Premiere Pro or After Effects. I noticed some features stop working after extended use, like copying/pasting to an exact location (Ctrl + Shift + V) in Windows.

 I’ve been thinking about this while looking at a project like BitumenCalcPro, where users work with technical numbers such as asphalt volume, mix percentage, density, and material quantities.Good visual design can make this kind of information much easier to understand. Things like typography, spacing, icons, and simple diagrams can help users quickly understand the results without making the interface feel crowded.For those using Illustrator for technical or data-heavy projects, what design techniques do you find most useful for keeping information clear and professional?

I am in the process of recoloring an SVG icon set that has 155 separate SVGs.When I place these SVGs into a new Illustrator document by shift+dragging them into Illustrator’s window, they all get placed inside the document as expected, but each SVG object gets a generic name like “<group>”. See this image: This is a nightmare because I have to now rename all of the exported SVG files back to their original names after exporting my changes.Does anyone here know of a way to place multiple SVG files into an Illustrator document and retain the SVG filenames?Any help greatly appreciated.

When applying color to my type, color works just fine in the appearance panel however, when I go to add a gradient, it turns my text black. I also tried using the bottom panel, as seen in the photo and it still does the same thing. Please help 😞Thank you 

I am experiencing severe and increasingly worsening copy/paste issues in Adobe Illustrator. Copying and cutting works, but pasting fails almost every time, making normal work impossible. I have tried everything: resetting preferences, restarting Illustrator, using the toolbar buttons instead of shortcuts, disabling GPU performance, testing with and without plugins (Overlord uninstalled), clearing caches, testing scaling and high-DPI monitors, reinstalling Illustrator via Creative Cloud, and even trying older versions. None of these solutions have improved the problem. This issue is persistent and escalating, and it completely prevents reliable workflow. I need a solution, as this behavior is not normal.

I am trying to add color to my photo in Illustrator and I can not get my pen tool to open.  It is stuck on the pencil
