Questions

In Illustrator I have a requiring issue with the library which freezes (see screen shot) when I use Illustrator for a second time after launching the program. To use the Library I constantly have to keep quiting and restarting Illustrator. Is this something that Adobe can rectify? Or have any tips on resolving this issue?

Hi everyone, I have Illustrator 2025 and it keeps craching every time I open any of my saved files. I tried reinstalling the program, updating OS but nothings works yet.  Any idea how to fix it?   <Logs converted to .txt by MOD>

I have just updated to Illustrator version 29.6.1 and have found that text within text boxes in all files that I open is missing. My colleague opens the same files and can see all of the text within the boxes. I have tried these help tips, but no luck. Reverting to the previous version was also unsuccessful. Has anyone had the same issue?  

Hello!I create a file in Illustrator in last friday. Today, monday, when I open the file all the fonts was changed.Can someone help, to understand, what happen here?

I want to mirror an object in Illustrator using the keyboard shortcut 'O', then select the mirror point and press Shift to constrain the mirroring to 45-degree increments. But somehow it doesn’t work anymore. I’m not sure why. It still works fine with the Rotate tool using the 'R' shortcut. I need help to fix this, please. I’ve just moved from Windows 10 to Windows 11, so maybe some setting has changed?

I have a problem with one of my files. I was typing and suddenly the letters changed to other symbols or letters that doesn't match the keys I'm typing.  Apparently this problem only happens with one of my files. I'll leave a video, in case any on you knows how I might solve this problem.  Thanks! 

I was having an issue where "Paste Remembers Layers" was somehow enabling itself and I have finally found out how it is happening.  Using the new multi-clipboard function with Illustrator is causing it.  I can reproduce it 100%.  I copy something like an image from the internet.  I control/tab over to Illustrator, press the keyboard shortcut for the multi-clipboard.  The clipboard pops visually in the right corner of the screen.  Now, just pressing the shortcut does not trigger the problem.  I must actually tap the image which pastes it into Illustrator an THAT is what suddenly enables Paste Remember Layers.  I've tested it a number of times.  Windows key/V opens the multi-clipboard but does not enable Paste Remember layers.  tapping the image which pastes it into Illustrator, then check again and Paste Remember Layers is enabled. There is also a problem with the multi-clipboard in Photoshop.  It only pastes the first image in

Hi! I was looking for help with a project. I'm trying to make a children's fanzine with two texts, one in red and one in blue. To read them, you need two magnifying glasses (physical ones) made of cellophane paper in these colors, but I can't get it to read. Does anyone have any recommendations or advice? It would be very helpful. Thank you.

I'm new to Illustrator and I've been working on it daily but today no matter what i try to open the properties panel and the layers panel are there but there is nothing in them.  I tried to shut down and restart but that didn't work.  Does anyone know what the problem might be?   I've attached a screenshot.  

Need solution to PDFs exporting blank when a solid color background is used on a logo. Does anyone have this problem?

Hi folksAs example, I have an 11 page doc, 11x17" artboards, 6MB.  All vector line work, very few fills, no placed images.....  nothing fancy, a lot of lines, but really simple.....aircraft layouts imported as dwg linework from CAD. Just upgraded to an M3 Max Macbook Pro, 96GB memory running Sonoma 14.6.1. It's ridiculously slow, spinning beachball, lagging selection, lag between keyboard strike and screen response.  My M2 blazed through this stuff, M3 is driving me nuts. Any suggestions? Thanks Ian 

Illustrator crashed and the last couple of hours of work are gone despite austosave every 2 minutes.Mac 15.5The document is saved to the Creative Cloud.Adobe support only lists autosave help for 29.1 or earlier.I have waited 15 min for an answer from the auto chat - no luck there.Please help. Thanks

Since recently, viewing using GPU causes colours to be wrong, saturated and very bright, but not on all colours. Switching to CPU restores the correct colours.What is going on any idea?

When I launch Illustrator on WIndows 11 the initiall screen/window has the "Your FIles" but that displays displays Adobe CLOUD ones ONLY. Performance for us is terrible to the cloud so we have to resort to storing and working with them 99% of the time on network mapped drives. (also have issues storing/working with tjhem on SHarePoint as well but thats another post!)  Is ther a way to have it show my recent "local" or non-cloud files?? Kind of frustrating to be honest. And I swear that about a year ago it DID show them but maybe Im nuts.   Also, even of those files not all have clear thumbnails - not sure why - about 50% are semi/sorta greayed out.....Any ideas or suggestions?  

Hey everyone, I’m facing an issue where hyperlinks (text or objects) I’ve added in Illustrator aren't working when I export to PDF. The links aren’t clickable after saving. Has anyone encountered this or know a fix? Any help is appreciated!I have tried from attributes and pasted the directly. Both shows the same result

I noticed when uploading an illustrator file to our enterprise dam that not all the expected metadata was accompanying the file: specifically copyright information.  According to the dam IT illustrator uses a "XMP:Rights" tag for the copyright field instead of "IPTC:CopyrightNotice" or "XMP:Copyright" which the dam expects so it doesn't get read.  Is there anyway to change this?

I am somewhat comfortable with Illustrator, but definitely not a pro. I have a symbol i am using as part of my logo, but i only have it as a jpeg. I am trying to edit it to change the colors a bit, and to resize it. If I do it in canva or editor it gets very grainy.  Is there a way to do this using Illustrator? 

After years of using Illustrator,  all of a sudden my layers are merging after I save. ( .ai)  When I re open  I lose all of my text editing abilites.  Is there something I'm missing? I can't get a hold of any Adobe Support.  

Hi! This font was showing up fine in my file until now. I can select the text box, but can't edit the text with this font and it doesn't show up in my artwork file. I am able to select the text box, and change it to a different font though. Anybody know how to get Acumin Variable Concept back and working properly?

I can't find a way to easily airdrop an image of my Illustrator work to my iPhone... is there one?  If not, please add this feature (similar to Photoshop's Quick Share to Airdrop in the current Beta). Thanks.

For the past couple of days, whenever I open an ad, be it from last year or last month, graphics or photos will randomly invert themselves. On an ad with multiple graphics, it's not even the entire ad - it's only one image. Many of these graphics have been in our files for years. They are not linked, but I don't have the originals anymore, so it's a burden when they're inverted like this. Why are they doing this and how can I fix it? 

hello!preface: skip to 2:20 in the attatched video and then to 5:45 to skip over unnecessary footageIllustrator is being a pain and I am unsure what is going wrong. It keeps randomly not being able to preview and goes to outlines. From there the file is basically irreversable so I keep having to recreate the file and copy and paste the text that way I don't have to keep writing it out over and over and fixing type settings.The screen recording i attatched shows me trying to place an image file in both .psd and .jpg both of which the file sizes do not exceed 82.0 MB, so I dont think its a problem with the file being too large and my computer not being able to handle it.

I had trouble dragging and dropping from Photoshop 25 to Illustrator 25, but the last upgrade fixed this.  Now after I drag and drop the image disappears a few minutes later and isn't there after saving.

Hi, Hoping someone can help direct me to where I can adjust a setting so that when I am changing between fonts, I can return to the position of the current font in the font list, rather than return to the top of the list. It has only recently changed as I used to continue down the list rather than have to scroll back down through all the fonts to try the next font.Thanks
