I have a HERO$ Go Pro camera. I would like to stream the video feed directly to the wowza server application through flash media encoder. I am trying to do this over wi-fi by connecting my windows 7 system with the Hero4 wi-fi network. I also have a webcam, so the media live encoder shows the webcam as an input but doe not show the go pro.anybody who has had a similar experience or has tried to do so?

Hello guys, I have searched the forum but couldn't have found appropriate answers. What I'm trying to achieve is to have Flash and AMS create/join/share a common netgroup. However, the basic steps fail - AMS and Flash don't join the same netroup regardless they have the same group specifier. So, I never get the "NetGroup.Neighbor.Connect" because they never join together. Here is my code. why is my screen green

Adobe flash will not install.  I have uninstalled the previous version, rebooted, and tried to install the new update.  I get an error that it can not connect.  I am using Firefox, flash does not appear on my plugin list.  All of the above have been tried several times with out success.   Any help would be appreciated.Thanks,Theresarose

We use Adobe Media server 5 to stream content to mobile devices. Our encoding workflow is designed around Adobe Media Encoder. Recently, we upgraded our encoding workstation to CC 2015 and found out that the included versions of Media Encoder do not support F4v encoding. I can't express the level of disappointment that we feel at this move by Adobe. We have invested $200,000 to build a workflow around adobe media server / media encoder. What are we supposed to do now? 

I'm running FMS 4.0.2.  I have a server side script that will record a stream that is playing on a remote server.  This script was running fine on FCS 1.5. When running on FMS 4.0.2 the stream starts recording fine, but after a few minutes it stops on its own with no event notifications on the stream.  No NetConnection or NetStream events are registered. I thought it might have been been an issue staying connected to the remote server, but then I wrote something to publish a stream directly to this server, and have a simple server side script record the stream on the same server, but the same thing happens - it stops after a few minutes with no notifications.Again the code works fine in older versions of FMS/FCS.This has obviously proven problematic that I cannot record a stream longer than a few minutes. The problem occurs both on streams published via the Flash Player (Sorenson Spark) and the FMLE (H.264).Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi , I have a flash activity created back in 2006, it's in AS2 and written to stream flv from within a swf.  It uses a SMIL file (not sure what version) to give bandwidth options.  We now have Adobe Media Server 5 and these flvs are not coming through.  RTMP seems to be correct.  Does FMS 5 recognize SMIL or need specific configuration?  Thank you for any thoughts.

We host Flash Media Server 3.5 on Windows Server 2008 SP2. The server is is only used for FMS 3.5 and as an FTP server for a few clients. We host an e-learning course that connects to the FMS and records audio from the users microphone which gets played back so the user can hear their recording shortly after. When the user clicks the record button in the course there is a multi colored feedback bar that shows the volume of your voice and that it is being recorded. Currently the users audio is not being recorded or being picked up by the feedback bar. When the user clicks the play button no audio is played back. I checked the FMS to see if the .FLA files were being saved to the server and they were not. There was over 5200 .FLA files in this directory: ‘C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Flash Media Server 3.5\applications\ClientName\streams\_definst_ ‘. Hello,I can see error "Failed to open shared object file (file.tmp) for write." in my application logs. I want notify user if such error happen. So I need to listen for the error in code. I've setup a new AMS server on AWS. In our application we've code which uses root user to perform certain operations. Like, copying the videos from one server to another. I can't change the code now. As we have to go to production in a weeks time. So, I need to enable the root user to make everything working. Please share the solution for it, asap.

Trying to figure out how to remove the background image page divider on this viewer. Default style:.s7pageview .s7pagedivider {    background-image: url("/s7sdk/2.4/images/sdk/divider.png");I tried adding a style sheet with:.s7pageview .s7pagedivider {    background-image:none;but it broke all the other styles such as the viewer tools. Hello I've been tearing my hair out on this all day...Looking at this example - http://www.adobe.com/devnet/adobe-media-server/articles/p2p_apps_cirrus_lccs.html based on the same functions, I've created a little video conferencing app, which works great on computers in the same building. However when I start testing it remotely I can't get the 'InStream' to display. I'm passing the correct farID to the Netstream class..Is there something I'm missing? I'm not getting any errors
