When you stop live streaming, is there a way to have the client player present an end of stream or off-line message?Right now when I stop streaming, the client plays the last part of the stream and then just buffers endlessly.

Hello everyoneI want to create multi-bitrate player to play VOD and Live stream.Now for switch between each video bitrate I have to find currently bandwidth between AMS server and client player.For get current bytes per second I use netstream info but this not stable to decision for switch between bitrates, also I use netConnection checkBandwidth for get the current bandwidth between client-server and sum this value with current bytes persecond for calculate current bandwidth between them but this values is not stable to decision.Please advise me to fix this problem. I am a freelance event videographer in Las Vegas looking to add live streaming and VOD to my services. I cover sporting events like amateur bodybuilding contests, boxing matches, live entertainment and theater events. I believe I can make streaming work in my business, but because I work primarily alone, I need an affordable platform that offers or supports pay-per-view, embedding, privacy protections, and so forth. I have no experience with streaming and am suffering a steep learning curve. I have the Livestream Basic Platform and their Studio software to get started learning. Product works great, but their Enterprise platform at $10,000 a year is inaccessible to me. I have all the equipment I need to shoot events, and live perform switches, but no knowledge of how to connect my equipment to the necessary services for delivering pay-per-view and VOD in a controlled, private and secure environment. Is there any way to only allow a certain IP range to views VODs in a specific application on the server? In main.asc I tried getting the client.ip but it only returns 127.0.0.1 as the address, which I assume is because the video player is hosted on the server itself. Is there any way to get the IP address of the actual user? We want to be able to limit users to viewing certain videos while they are within a certain subnet. Thanks!

I'm having a lot of trouble getting Adobe Media Server 5 on Amazon Web Services working with live dynamic streaming, I've done a of this on Flash Media Server 4.5 and am trying to duplicate what I have done there on AMS since I got an email that FMS 4.5 will be dropped soon.I have tried replicating my own setup from FMS 4.5 and I have also tried using the base install and following Adobe's tutorial. I get the same results in both events.First, the HLS streaming appears to work fine. I've watch it on several iOS devices with no problem.I use StrobeMediaPlayback for HDS streaming and that's where there are problems. The streams usually play fine at first and even transition well, then after a few minutes I start getting a lot of buffering and then video skipping. The longer it goes on, the more it buffers and the larger chucks of video get skipped. Sometimes I also get and error that says "TypeError: Error #1009"I am using FMLE and both it and the server are set to use absolute time.Any

Hi, everyone!  I'm making an installer that is going to set a machine up for use of a piece of software.  Adobe Media Server is one of the software requirements.  I'm wondering if there's any way to automate the installation of it.  I can, of course, open the wizard through a command line, but at that point, the user needs to be there to continue installation.  I'm really looking for more of a "set it and forget it" type of solution.  If anybody knows of any way this is possible, please tell me.  I'm not finding anything online so far.

Hi,I'm trying to make a software which sends video and audio data to a flash media server by using RTMP protocol.Currently, my program can communicate with a flash media server correctly.RTMP specifications does not describe about the raw data in video/audio messages, so I muxed raw H.264 and AAC data into video/audio messages and sent to the server.The server seems to accept them, but a video player cannot playback the stream sending from the server.  The player just says "Loading..."For a test purpose, I sniffed the network packets between Wirecast and the flash media server and ripped off only video and audio data.  Then, I muxed those data into video/audio message and sent to the flash media server.  In this case, the video player connected to the server can playback the stream correctly.I checked the stream sent from Wirecast, the stream seems not to be H.264 raw data because those data are not started from 0x17 instead of H.264 start code.With those situation, I am

I want access by webcam from a web browser and record the video stream to the server.  I'm not sure what Adobe technologies I need for this, and if there is a tutorial / documentation for this. I think I need the Adobe Media Server, but it seems like that is only for Steaming Videos out from the server?  Most of the tutorials mention Adobe Live Media Encoder, but that looks like an installed application whereas I need to do it via a browser.Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hi,We use amazon cloud front and Open Broadcaster to livestream also using jwplayer. Some time we experience internet problem on our local system and encoder lost its connection to server but it just took 1 or 2 second. Hi,I've recently taken over an AIR application project from a colleague who has left, and am trying to set up the project for Android-x86 devices. I can build the application fine, but need to add an implementation of my ANE for these apps.Unfortunately it seems the source code for the extension has been misplaced. I have the current ANE and thought that if I unzip it and extract the original jar file used by Android-ARM, I could rebuild the ANE using this, but although the apk builds and recognises there being an x86 implementation in my descriptor now, when the application starts up it does nothing. My ARM devices are now doing nothing too.Is there anything else I should be doing? Or am I barking up the wrong tree and it's really not possible to build an ANE without the java source code?Help!

We are running Adobe Media Server 5.  We have had one disk location for all media files up until now, but we are outgrowing our storage and need to begin having multiple volumes.  We need a way to specify that some files live on another drive.  We are at a college, and we want to have all of our nursing video on one volume by itself to free up disk space.for example, we have always had everything in http:\\domain\vod\nursing or http:\\domain\vod\username.  We need to move http:\\domain\vod\nursing to e:\webroot\vod\nursing, but have everything else continue to work.  It's on the same server.  We have been on the phone for hours with Adobe support and have gotten nowhere.  We have tried adding a new application with the virtual directory set to e:\webroot\vod\nursing, declaring variables in ams.ini, changing the httpd.conf file, etc.  We have not had any luck.  Everything always points back to this document:  http://help.adobe.com/en_US/

But don't start publishing data.2. I start a recording on the server.3. Five seconds later I start publishing.I then use /opt/adobe/ams/tools/flvcheck -v to look at the FLV. I see a tag:stream-absolute ==> 5This is correct. Since the data didn't start for 5 seconds after I clicked record.I am using <AssumeAbsoluteTime>false</AssumeAbsoluteTime> in this application.This works fine on AMS 4 and AMS 5.---Here is what worked on AMS 4 but now doesn't work on 5:1.
