Add the object image to a new layer. If the object image has a background, select Remove background   from the Contextual Task Bar. In the Layers panel, select the pixel layer of the object image. Picking up from our conversation last fall @MeredithStotzner , is choosing the "Firefly Image 1" in 26.9.0 equivalent to jumping back to Photoshop 2024 and using gen fill there? If so I am very grateful to Adobe for providing this choice. Opening an image temporarily in 2024 for certain gen fill tasks is a big part of my current workflow as I find it still to be superior for textures and a few other things. I would be happy to learn that this is a shortcut to exactly that. Thank you for all your hard work on this and accomodating the widely varied utility of Gen Fill.

The Star tool is available in Photoshop Beta Photoshop now has a bespoke Star tool that includes a Contextual Task Bar and updated on-canvas controls similar to what Illustrator is currently shipping. Additionally, if you copy a star shape from Illustrator and "Paste as Layers" shared properties will copy as live and editable shapes in Photoshop. I am sharing the screenshots of the bug in my photoshop beta version 2025, it's very irritating the adobe softwares are getting full of bugs on every new update. The canvas shows what i designed actually but the export screen is showing dull colors and after export the jpg is the dull in colors. same is happening with png also.   [Mod: Moved to the Photoshop Beta forum]  

If smart quotes is enabled in settings, instead of getting " you get <<. If you uncheck the smart quotes, it works but obviously, you don't get smart quotes regardless of the font chosen. 

when using remove brush to remove wrinkles in skin, can leave brush marks that are visible with black and white adjustment layer

Hi, I am receiving the above message when trying to use generative fill in photoshop 25.9.1. It has been working fine up until now without any issues. My subscription is via my place of work. My apps are genuine and are installed and updated via the Creative Cloud Desktop tool.

I recently purchased adobe photoshop and when I try to install it, it just says "There was a problem installing Photoshop" Everything else works fine except photoshop.

The generative ai box doesn't show up. My Photoshop Beta us update. I'm running Windows 11. I paid to have this option but I'm getting nothing. Please help.

Anyone know why Adobe continues to include the comment "updates to Remove tool" in their description of the new software update(s)? This appears in the past several updates. Overall very satisfied with the app. Please clean up the loose ends Thanks 

When I have to go more detail oriented I switch to Photoshop from Lightroom. I just choose Beta. Any better reason to use the regular edition? 

There is an absolute large majority of us use Android products and would like to know when are WE going to have these apps in the playstore. It's frustrating to know that we pay for this and cannot get it on ALL PLATFORMS available. Please address our concerns push this up the chain and let us know when you are rolling this out.

I saw this tutorial on Reddit and wanted to try and replicate it. I designed a patch and animated it in After Effects, then exported as .mov (Quicktime, animation codec). In Photoshop, I convert the export to a smart object, but I can't get the embroidery parametric filter to apply. It just duplicates the layer (in the layers and in the timeline) but doesn't apply any effect at all. Not sure if this is a bug or whether I'm doing something wrong. Any ideas?

Hello, I'm using Photoshop Beta. The "Rendering" parameter filter appears in the list, but it's disabled. The layer type and modes are correct. The GPU is also enabled. May I know why the feature is not available?

When the Generate Image window opens, the user can type into the field,  but cannot paste a prompt from the clipboard (via Command-V).
