When I saved a file in Photoshop Beta v25.5 m2464 on Windows 11 23H2 22631.3007 my Save Window froze and simply said, “Working on it…”. It was only a small simple file, single layer, with a transparent background. Had to use task manager to stop Photoshop.

I scanned a paper photo at 600 resolution with the name photo-orig, opened it in Photoshop, and wanted to save a copy called photo-edit.  Over and over, it suggested a medium image quality of 5 instead of the 10 or 12 I like.  Degrading a shot down to 5 should be a conscious (and rare) choice, not the default!  Why is this suddenly happening and is there something I can do to get it to always be 12?  Or at least 10? I could see it maybe saves the last one you used instead of defaulting at all, but I've tried setting it to 12 repeatedly and it keeps coming back with 5 the next time. I've heard that re-saving a photo does always degrade it some and there's nothing I can do about that, but Photoshop shouldn't be suggesting that I do!  Thank you all! Please note:  I'm not SUPER techie so if there are steps in your answer, please include then instead of assuming that i know where things are.  🙂 If it makes a difference, I'm on B

Windows 10. Updated Nvidia graphics card. Beta 24.6.0 Start with LR classic and PS beta closed.Open LR classic.Edit a PSD from LR to PS. Select edit original (previously edited photo with layers for further editing)Using a brush or lasso tool lines are created that shoot off to the left corner of the screen. This is using a mouse and intermittently when using a wacom pen. The problem with the mouse seems constant. If PS is opened before LR Classic the brush (so far) seems to act normally. Also it is impossible to select the help menu when this is happening. Selecting help results in the Plugin menu as soon as you try to make a selecteion. Selection Window give you the view menu. 

  Generative Fill is not working from one day to another. When opening as layers from LR classic (13.1 release), no image is displayed, just the empty gray canvas. Macbook M1 Pro MAX + 2 external screen setup, macOS Sonoma 14.2.1 Kind regards Markus Gröteke

When using the plugin Web Sharp Pro (by Greg Benz) I get the error that the layer couldn't get copied. It works in the regular Photoshop version. Two updates ago there was the same error, it got fixed. But with the latest update the error returned. I can copy layers outside Web Sharp Pro.

After working and opening a smart filter .psb, when saving the file and photoshop beta tries to update the main image, photoshop beta crashes. I tried a few different options possiblitilies, tried to create new smart filter via copy etc. and it crashed every time. Opening the same exact file with the official Photoshop 2024 woirs perfectly without any issues.

This worked fineChose vibrance from the 'add adjustment' in the contextual menu and then Photoshop Beta crashed.

Used Lasso tool a few times around a person. didn't remove or replace. First time this has happened. 

when I click the "edit in quick mask mode" the prompt box disappear. How to fix this issue? Thanks

Parametric Oil Paint filter works on my MacBook Pro 2017 Ventura 13.6.4 but not on my MacBook Pro 2019 Sonoma 14.3.1. Any suggestions how to fix this problem? Thank you, Suzanne

When I try to load 3 tiff files into layers with the script "Load files into stack" it fails with an errormessage on screen: The files are normally accessible, do not have duplicate filenames, do not reside in folders with weird characters or whatever.The Lear how to fix button shows a page that does not reflect the fact that this error is thrown from a built in script. Please advise 🙂 edit: it works OK in Photoshop 2024 (the NON-beta version)edit 2: My beta version is up-to-date: 2.5.5

Aberration, not Aberation (name and presets) 

Hi,With the latest version of Photoshop Beta (and actually since introducing the AI fix ability) there has been some sort of memory leak where after a few modifications to different files, I no longer have the capacity to do a liquify, it simply states not able to complete this task. If I shut down photoshop, re-open with the same file, then I can liquify.  This happens after every 5-8 images.Thanks.My machine spec is attached.

Since updating to v.25.4, I regularly encounter "program error" alerts that aren't allowing me to carry out normal functions.  i.e. Using the move tool to bring a jpeg into the PSD file; and duplicating a layer from one PSD file to another.  I've tried clearing caches, computer restarts, etc.  Is it possible to revert to a previous version of Photoshop?

On a Mac, when another program opens in front of Photoshop Beta and I click on the photoshop screen behiend to bring it forward it doesnt always pop to the front. I have to shrink it down and bring it up to move it infront of other windows such as Chrome. Sometimes the Menu items, such as layers will stay in front also when I click on other programs. So photoshop would be behiend but layers stays in front.   

With the the production version of Photoshop the select subject remembers whether  you used cloud or on device method. with the beta version this is not maintained. 

Hallo,seit dem letzten Updaten der Beta-Version 25.4.0 funktioniert beim Pfadwerkzeug die Tastenkombination "Optionstaste mit  Mausklick" zum entfernen der Grifflinie nicht mehr. Stattdesen wird mir beim drücken der Optionstaste die Pipette angezeigt, siehe Anhang. Eine Möglichkeit, die Grifflinie anders zu entfernen, habe ich nicht gefunden. Ich habe sonst immer beim freistellen mit dem Pfadwerkzeug nach dem erstellen einer Kurve, mit dem drücken der Optionstaste+Mausklick die Grifflinie entfernt, um anschließend eine neue gerade Linie zu erstellen. Das funktioniert leider gar nicht mehr. Muss ich was umstellen, oder hat Photoshop einen Bug?!Vielen Dank für eine Antwort!

On Photoshop Beta 25.5 - only!When I try to same and update smart-object contents I get "Could not complete your request because of a program error" and Photoshop gets stuck. 

The preset Styles ans my Styles are missing. Photoshop doesn't import and append default styles, I've uninstalled Photoshop, but the problem persists.
