Photoshop 2021 slow and laggy [LOCKED]

This is garbage, in PS 2020 I couldn't switch between documents without waiting for 10 seconds. 

In PS 2021 my document wouldn't even refresh when I was working with smart filters. Both seem to have been fixed but now it's insanely slow to do ANYTHING. 

On this workstation, you would expect anything to work smooth as butter but apperently it has trouble with the most basic of actions. This needs to be fixed instantaneously.

I have a powerful iMac with 24GB of ram that has run photoshop well for years but of late Photoshop 2020 and 2021 have been really laggy for me, DRIVING ME NUTS! The lag I was experiencing was when switching tabs and after closing the Image Size dialogue box (even if i didn't apply an image resize!). I'd see a beach ball for a couple of seconds, making what was previously a very fast task painfully slow. IT IS NOW FIXED: I went to Preferences -> General -> [Reset Preferences on Quit]. I then restarted photoshop and it was now back to being lightning fast and snappy! Phew.

Same, VERY laggy ! Help Adobe

I'm running a Mac and found out mine was so slow because the mac's Firewall was on I have Norton so I turned the Mac firewall off and it works fine now so it's the firewall because the CC 2121 or the cloud version is online so if the firewall is on it's checking the connecting all the time which is what it seems to be the problem on mine at least?

I am trying to use PS CC 2021 ACR.  It is painfully slow and esentually useless for handeling large groups of RAW files.  So far my only solution is to revert back to PS CC 2020 ACR and things are fine.

I do wonder (and would assume) if Adobe has multiple users with various systems test PS w/ACR and large groups of RAW files before releasing to the public (these issues should have shown up).

Moving selection on a layer is very laggy, same goes for undo/redo. It's very frustrating to use. It's not worth the money.

I also have an NVIDIA 2080 TI. Also for me using the 2020 version (v21.2.4) is completely fine but it's very slow for the 2021 (22.0.1). 

I think it's reasonable to believe many, most or all NVIDIA 2080 TI card users are affected. Please point this out to your engineers! Test it with the card I mentioned.

Mine is the same way even picking a text style that used to take 1 to 2 seconds now takes 5 or 6 seconds deleting a layer takes 10 to 12 seconds now every aspect of this is now three times slower. I was even thinking of going back to the C6 version then looked at the pacage it's windows version I've since switched to Mac so i guess i'm stuck.

At first I thought something is wrong with my system. But reading this thread here puts my mind at ease. So theres nothing to do but to wait for a fix.
