We're happy to announce the release of Photoshop v27.2

What's new in this update?

The latest release of Photoshop(v27.2) includes performance enhancements and fixes for customer-reported issues.

Support for Flux.2 pro model in Ps Desktop:

Get results closer to your intended style with the new FLUX.2 pro partner model in Generative Fill. Click here for more details.

Notable Fixes in this release:

Stroke applied to text fills the entire bounding box.
Loading Presets appends numbers to the folder oddly.
Select Subject features are not working through Actions.
Photoshop freezes when we try to manually enter numbers in the color picker in Replace Color.
[Mac] With Find Layers, the Name field becomes out of focus when entering text after displaying "No layers match the filter".
Color distortion displayed when opening images saved from Facebook.

Very curious and confused about how the Photoshop team decides to spend time, money, and energy to reorganize tools, like the FIll Adjustment layers (moving solid color, gradient, pattern, to the bottom of the menu). What is the logic here? With all the things to be done (like fixing the mask draw glitch with smart objects), is this a meaningful change? Moving legacy features just annoys uses who have been using it that way for years and have developed muscle memory.

This Update DELETED link to all my profiles, actions, workspace, plugins etc.

Yes I have the box checked to keep previous settings and preferences in creative cloud and have not had problems with previous updates...

Sometimes while working with the Pen Tool, my key commands stop working. Example Control +, Control -, F key, and all Tool key shortcuts stop working etc.

I'm running latest Windows 11, PS 27.2.0, Dell Tower Plus Model EBT2250, Ultra 9 285K, 64 GB RAM

27.2 has slightly improved overall performance . Select subject works fine when set to Cloud. I have not yet tested color picker fix myself but freeze fixes help us a lot.

First of All, Thank you for all your hard work.

May we please have photoshop brushes on the iPad work the same as they do on photoshop for the Desktop. The more I use it the more Frustrated I become. The Photoshop on the iPad and the Photoshop on the Desktop are nearly two different applications. May we please have the two versions as identical as possible? I will be honest, Adobe has dominated this space for a long time. It seems like porting their application from one device to another would be an easy task for adobe.

after being gone for a couple weeks, now with 27.2 whenever I am in ACR-->masking my brush is really lagging. I have not issues if I use it to paint on the photo or to write on a photo. But in Mask it is really slow. I have tried a lot of youtube fixes, but nothing I can find to set my brush so it does not lag when adding or subtracting from a mask.

Could you share a bit more about what happens when you use the Select Subject tool? Is it greyed out, clickable but nothing happens, or something else? If you can share a screenshot or a short recording, that would really help us take a closer look.

@Aleke It says, "Couldn't find a subject to select. There might not be prominent objects in the image." It does this no matter what image I try.
