Is there a way to change properties on multiple topics at the same time in RH 2019?In previous versions, you could select multiple topics in the Topic List pod, right click, and modify properties like the master page and CSS file, but I can't find an equivalent feature in RH 2019.

We have noticed that in both Rh2015 and Rh2019 Classic that search result highlighting is no longer present (and our user help consumers are complaining).  I have done exhaustive research and nothing appears to be wrong within my project and/or output (but maybe I missed something in a forum, etc.).  I am even experiencing the same in the RoboHelp sample projects. Is this a known defect or another issue?  I have seen several 'hacks' that are supposed to work (i.e. exiting the whform.js file or the output index.htm(l) file, but none have worked.

Hi. I am using Conditional Build tags to hide complete tables in RoboHelp 2017. Although the tables are hidden, blank spaces remain, which looks bad. Please could you advise how I can get round this problem. I have looked in HTML View, and cannot see anything which would cause this.Thanks for any Help you can offer.

I have imported a pdf file to adobe robohelp folder. However, when I drag the pdf to a topic, a link is created to the pdf. in the earlier releases the opdf file would imported and converted to html. How can I achieve this in Robohelp 2019

After the latest update at the end of November any text that is preceded with "id=" is green in the editor. The output is fine when previewing and compiled. I assume the software is "trying" to be helpful and tell me something. Is there a way I can turn it off? I use a wrapper for the whole topic, so therefore my whole page is green text.Thanks,Mary Ann

Hi,I can't play the FLV and MP4 files in the CHM file generated from single-sourcing FM11 via Robohelp10.FLV appears with play button but the screen is black. MP4 appears as a hyperlink and when selected it opens the quicktime app and nothing happened.Please help. I installed the latest flash and quicktime player and installed all the available codecs.Thanks!Kai

Hi,I am currently working in a project where IFrame is blocked. Hence, the top navigation and left navigation panes of the webhelp output were not loading. Now, we have manually created a TOC and the Index page which are working. However, we are unable to create the Search feature. Although there is a search feature available in Robohelp 17 (Insert>HTML Form>Search Field), it is also not working. Can anybody tell how the search feature under HTML form can be made to work?If this can be done, then the webhelp can be used avoiding IFrames.Or else, is there anyway to avoid generating outputs in IFrames?Message was edited by Peter Grainge - Version corrected to help others when searching for same problem.

I have created a CHM file in RoboHelp 2015, V 12.0.2.384, in Win7 and all MP4 files hyperlinked through a text entry on HTML pages, open and play in either Windows Media Center or Player. One of my customers just converted their laptop to Win 10 and now he cannot get the MP4 files to play in either of the players. Anybody else have experience with this? A workaround? I have to say, I'm pretty frustrated. In the past I've had issues with RH (it's not my strongest app), but I was excited to have a new version to start with. However, I can't seem to get styles to work properly (new project, ran the update before creating it). Also, RH has crashed no less than 5 times today while I've been trying to make simple style setting changes. (The application has run into an error. Please save your unsaved changes and restart. message in the corner, after this appears, I can't do anything.) And beyond the very simple help section blurb there's virtually no information on how to use this new version. I admit, RH and CSS aren't my strongest talents. But setting up a new paragraph style shouldn't cause the software to crash. Adding simple top and bottom margins to even a default paragraph style shouldn't cause the software to crash. I am using RH HTML in version RH11.I am getting the following, multiple warning messages when compiling the CHM file and the file will not open.HHC3004: Warning: TopicName.htm : The HTML tag "?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?" is not a valid HTML tag (it does not begin with an alphanumeric character).Here are the strange things...I am generating using 3 conditional build tags.  It is successful using any of the tags individually, or any 2 of the tags.  Just not all three.     I am able to generate with 3 build tags, the first 2 of the 3 above and one other one.Each time I generate using the same settings (the 3 tags), the warning is applied to different topics.  Some topics that had the warning before, don't in the next iteration.The CHM generates, but the file is double the size of the successful attempts.  64MB vs 32MB.     Other info:Working and generating on a single machine.This worked fine 6/24/2016 with all the exac

We are evaluating the Robohelp 2017 release. As we are a government contractor, we must be sure that our output is 508 compliant. We like the Responsive HTML output, though that is not a requirement and I'm wondering now if we will have to go with WebHelp. We cannot seem to test that our Responsive HTML output is 508 compliant. The Wave tool on Chrome doesn't work on it. Adobe says "The 508 compliant HTML5 layouts let you create content that is accessible to all users" but we simply haven't been able to prove this. As of RoboHelp 2015, Adobe responded in one of these threads that it was not 508 compliant. I assume this changed in 2017 but need to be sure. Any recommendations? We are using RoboHelp15 and RoboServer9 currently.  A few weeks ago, the RoboServer had to be moved to an AWS environment.  We have help projects on the server back to 2011.  Some of the older versions stopped working for our customers after the move.  It is confusing to me that some versions of the help work, but not others for our customers. NetOps is pointing to the new server to redirect.Do you have any suggestions on troubleshooting this issue?Things I have tried:Generating a new build to the server for a project that is not working.  Didn't help.Noticed that in the older builds, the project was opening to the topic MySurveysGrid, but with the move changed to Getting Started topic, which is what we use in our newer projects. When I generate to the server now, even though the default topic is MySurveysGrid, it changed to Getting Started which changes the URL of course.  NetOps is telling me that it looks like when I generate a build it is affecting all

When I try to open .XPJ file from RoboHelp (version 8), it asks for user credentials to be entered. What exactly are these credentials and where to get one.

[I have a merged layout (currently 30 projects merged) using RoboHelp 15, MSIE 11, Windows 7 ENT.]   (I searched to find a discussion about this but didn’t easily find one, my apologies if this a redundant stream.) The topic pane shows blank for a child project (but, TOC displays correctly). I think this is due to a mistake where the source folder and the output folder temporarily had different names, and guessing the parent project can’t handle the folder name mismatch. So, my guess is that publishing the child project temporarily fixes the problem, but the permanent fix is to delete the merged child, then re-merge. I’ll post my results tomorrow, I hope. Make sense? Has anyone had the same or similar issue?  Or does something else cause this issue? thnx

I would like to change some TOC links without having to republish the whole project, but I am having a hard time finding the correct file to edit. Can someone tell me what is the name of the TOC file/s where I can alter the link?

I'm working in RH 2017 responsive HTML layout. I successfully tested using the external content search function on an external website. I used three key words as a test. The search using each key word resulted in the website. When I clicked the search result, the new window opened and displayed the expected external web site. My question is:Is there a way to have the key words used in the search highlighted on the external website, like we see during any other key word search?First time post, so I hope I was clear enough on my discussion.Thanks for your time.Jason

How do you remove the search field from the function bar? I don’t want it in both the navigation pane and the function bar.Output settings for WebHelp include Navigation, where you can select whether to include Search Input Field in Toolbar. I haven’t found a similar setting for HTML5 Responsive output.

Hi,I frequently do find and replace operations in my html code in RoboHelp. I have noticed that when I do a find and replace in the code for all files in a folder, RH sometimes breaks lines randomly, which creates an error. For example, it may change:     </tr>to     </tr>This type of error is revealed only when the topic is displayed in the browser after output is generated (previewed topic looks ok).It also sometimes breaks url's:      "../../folder1/folder2/folder3/filename.html"becomes     "../../folder1/folder2/folder3/filename.html"These errors show up as broken links in the project pane.This may happen 3 or 4 times in a few dozen files, ranging in size from 50 - 2500 lines. Most files are fine, but a handful will have 1 or 2 errors. It is time-consuming to find and fix all of these. I have upgraded my Robo10 project to the RH2019 project.  All things go well.Then I created an H5 preset, and set some settings, then clicked generating, but after several hours, the process is still continuing. I don't know why.Ps: there's another problem when I upgraded the project. If I first open RH2019 classic, and upgrade my robo10 project, after the upgrade finished, then I open RH2019 to upgrade the classic project, all things in the new 2019 project are OK.  If I directly use RH2019 to upgrade my robo10 project, many files just under the root project are missing, like those .hhc, and some pictures.

I just installed it and upgraded one of our Online Help projects. It crashes when I try to do pretty much anything. Often when I click on something or select something from a menu, nothing happens. I rename things and the name doesn't change... Is it just me? I can't imagine it's in a usable state for many people like this.
