RoboHelp 2015 (12.0.2.384)Unable to delete empty folders. I get a "Could not find this item" error message. Tried deleting in Project Manager, Explorer, and DOS.

I just upgraded to RH 2015 and about half of my links are not working. I tried reimporting the document, but that didn't fix anything.

Is there a way always show TOC in output for WebHelp? My team doesn't like clicking Show.

Hello there,I am creating a new project and will be importing my topics from Word 2010.When I select the document for uploading I get an error message saying "The filename is invalid.  The''' character is not used in a path.I have no ''' in the filename.Has anyone had this issue before?  How can I fix this?Thanking you in advanceNatalee

Dell Precision 5810Running RH 2015 latestWindows 64We are starting up a new WPF application and want to do Responsive HTML5 output.We also want to do context sensitive help (CSH), where the help topic opens up on pane that slides out from the side when user presses F1 or clicks a help button.I looked at this documentation:Adobe RoboHelp 11 * Program Help for web pagesIs that the recommended way to do CSH for HTML5 output? (I didn't see HTML5 output listed specifically in the CSH documentation that RH provides.)Do we do it as described in the link above and use use map numbers and alias files as usual?Or is CSH for HTML5 handed in some other way?

Hi,Has anyone see this error message when you click on a compiled FlashHelp topic?  :"Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in ..." and then it gives a path and line number.I already have the "Convert RoboHelp-edited topics to HTML" option checked in RoboHelp.I had this issue a few years ago and I was able to fix it by copying the content of the topic and pasting it into a new topic, but this is now not working.Would appreciate any help or suggestions, thanks!

Hi,I added an addTextToCopy() function to my topics in RoboHelp 2015 and the FlashHelp output works in every browser except for Internet Explorer. I tested the function on a test site and it works fine ... it is only in the FlashHelp output that the function does not work in IE. Hi, When opening a particular project in RoboHelp I get a message "The path "d:" is too long and will be deleted from the project." The delete doesn't seem to work as I get this message every time I open the project. Has anyone else come across a similar error message? It doesn't seem to be causing any problems but it is annoying. Thanks, Greig

HelloI have the problem that the hyperlinks in the index do not work with Chinese characters. The characters are always interpreted as special characters. Is there a trick on how to use Chinese characters in the index?Version: Robohelp 2015greetings

Is there a way I can take the search index created by RoboHelp and write my own javascript to connect?  I tried to hack the filed whfform.htm & whfbody.htm but all the js includes got really confusing.  I would like to create my own simple HTML page with a search box.  Have the function on the search box get the results from the RoboHelp collection and repaint the results div.  I am using version 10.

How can I edit the meta tag that gets inserted when generating the HTML5 responsive layout (see below)?  I need to get that unescaped > out of there because it has negative effects on linked programs, but can't find where to edit this setting in RoboHelp.  I don't have breadcrumbs on the page and I don't see any option to disable breadcrumbs in the HTML5 layout.< meta name="topic-breadcrumbs" content="Administration > Customer Management" / >I found a SSBreadCrumbSeperator element in the HTML5 ssl file, but changing this did nothing to change the output, it still has the unescaped > character in it.I'm using Robohelp 2015 (12.0.3.428).

I am working with a fairly old help file, imported from (I think) Robohelp 7. All the pages are topped with a banner that uses 'Heading 1'. I need to change the colours of 'Heading 1' to match corporate policy. I have updated the relevant CSS file. I have updated all pages to make sure they are referencing the correct CSS file. On pages that I have written since I took on the task, the new colours are applied as I would hope - albeit at design time, with a strange pattern of diagonal lines on the background colour.The problem is with the older pages. Whilst they also use 'Heading 1', they appear to have a font attribute placed over the top of the embedded style. This means they do not inherit the white lettering of my new style, they remain black, which renders them unreadable against my new background colour. If I right click on an affected heading, I can 'remove attribute' and the black text turns white as per the CSS. However there are far too many pages thus affected for me to addr

Hello,I am using RoboHelp 2015 and in Responsive Layout output, I need to re-arrange these tabs. I want the Dynamic Content Filter tab to be displayed before ToC. Is it possible to re-sequence the Filter tab before the ToC tab by doing some backend work in code or CSS?Or the other enhanced way - if we select filters say - Sales, then the Sales related topics should be displayed (rather expanded below it - just like Expanding Text).Is it possible to customize Responsive Layout in this way?--ThanksKshitija

Hi,I would like the text that appears by default in my Search box to say "How do I...?" instead of the default "-Search-".  I believe this can be done by editing a bit of tagged text in the HTML for the help system's background/frame/whatever, but I don't know where to find that. Hi, after looking at the html code and other info for every topic, skin, master page, image, settings, project settings, style sheet, the one baggage file (javascript to add a print button to the output), all the options under Topic Properties (such as unused files), my output (webhelp) setup, and other parameters for my new webhelp project, I cannot seem to locate the source of the following "generate" warning that I'm getting:Copying files...Warning: "C:\users\me\desktop\My New Project\F:\XYZ_folder\Documentation\xyz_index.pdx" cannot be copied to "C:\users\me\desktop\My_Generated_Output\F:\XYZ_folder\Documentation\xyz_index.pdx".   reason: source does not exist.The help system appears to generate correctly, but where is this warning coming from? Hi!We're moving everything to https: here. Pretty standard stuff.However, when generating a RoboHTML project, it's apparently building the TOC with insecure links and it's hiding some topics.  Clicking the "view all content" (or equivalent) option fixes that problem, but we can't expect our non-computer-savvy users to go do that.Is there some setting I'm missing?Thanks!

Hi, all.I'm using RH 11 in a Win 7 environment.When I do a search, the results are shown in the HTML view. It would be easier to work in the Design view once I have the correct search result.How can I switch back to Design view? The Design view tab is not displayed in the search result. Currently, I find the topic in the topic list and open it a second time, but I'd love to have a more efficient way to do this.Thanks.

I have searched the forum and read all posts about expanding text but cannot find the answer to this issue.In RoboHelp X5.02, our project of 3300 topics uses expanding text in body paragraphs, DHTML drop-downs, and other styles. The expanding text was created by dragging a glossary term to a selected phrase or word and then changing the glossary definition expanding text. When I open the X5.02 project in RoboHelp 2015 and upgrade it, those expanding text hotspots will not open because there is no matching glossary term. Otherwise, the project upgraded and I generated FlashHelp and WebHelp output successfully.Is there any change I can make in the X5.02 project that allows retaining this changed expanding text?Much appreciation for any help with this!

When the developers integrated the Responsive HTML 5 Help into our company's mobile app, the CSH help topics flash open then close right away in Chrome and Safari. However, it works fine in Internet Explorer. Has anyone encountered this?  

I have a project that has been upgraded to RoboHelp 2015. If I view it using the viewer inside of RoboHelp, the index is there. When I publish this project to the RoboHelp Server 10, it continuously has the words "Loading index" on the index tab as shown on the screen shot.The index never appears. If I publish this project to RoboHelp Server 9, the index works fine. If I generate and publish a responsive HTML5 layout with this same project I get the index. I'm having the same issue with all WebHelp Pro projects I have published to RoboHelp Server 10.Update: I was able to publish a small test WebHelp Pro project to the RoboHelp Server 10 which successfully loaded the index. So, I believe that perhaps it is something with my particular WebHelp Pro project, so I'm going to move this to the WebHelp Pro area. Thank you,Nita
