Hi. Can anyone advise if:RoboSource control will work on SQL Server Express 2012, or is some earlier version required. Is RoboSource control a more elegant (more integrated) solution than a 3rd party SVC system, such as our Perforce system (with MSSVC plugin installed on RH.)Thanks.-Kurt
Robohelp 8 (up-to-date on patches)Webhelp - context sensitiveProblem when using ChromeWhen a user clicks on a help link, the webhelp page displays. If the user opens another dialog in the application, the webhelp page displays again. While not criticial, it is annoying. Any suggestions? Thanks,Julie

Experts-I thought I found a solution to numbering sets in a topic, where the top-level step is numbering 1 after a heading. The test:Create a paragraph style for top-level steps (as in a procedural step). I called the style level_2 (sic). It's based on Normal, with a little indenting.Create a paragraph style for 2nd-level (sub) step. I called the style level_3 (sic). It's based on Normal, with a little indenting.Created a multilevel list style, called MLL_style_1Associate level 2 of the multilevel list style with paragraph style level_2.Associate level 3 of the multilevel list style with paragraph style level_3.Associate level 1 of the multilevel list style with Heading 1. The sole purpose of #6 above is to force the restart of the numbering of the Level_2 styles. This seems to work:HOWEVER, I've noticed a problem and a curiosity:Problem: I don't want any numbering to appear in front of Header 1 text. I can't find a way to make the numbering property of level 1 of the MLL_style_1

I generate a set of files used in my RoboHelp project. Historically, this has never been a problem. When I open RoboHelp, it recognizes the new links etc. defined in the project and makes them available to the TOC and other topics, as well as showing them in the topics window. To give an example, I might have something like this:<a name="options">File Options</a>...<a name="arguments">File Arguments</a>I then create links in the TOC to these references. When I regenerate, nothing about this changes, except that I add (or remove) additional content, also referenced with name tags.In RoboHelp 9, when I reopened the project, the new topics were displayed in the topics list pod and generally available for use.Since I've updated to RoboHelp 10, however, it no longer automatically refreshes the available topic links. I find the only way I can update them is to remove the topic, preserving the links (now broken) and copy back the generated file a
I'm using Robohelp 9 HTML and creating Webhelp as a final product. Is there any way to make the text wrap in the navigation pane? I've discovered how to size the navigation window and that works fine. This system will ultimatly be viewed on HMI screens in a food production facility. If the text can wrap it'll save lots of grief for the users. Thanks for any help!
Experts-HI. I'd like to see if there's a way to control the indentation of tables in a document by simply adjusting the margin-left value via a (Table?) style?I finding that table indentation is adjusted in a table's properties settings:<table class="AlternateBlueColorGrid" style="padding-left: 6.00pt; padding-top: 6.00pt; padding-right: 6.00pt; padding-bottom: 6.00pt; margin-left: 40px;" cellspacing="0" width="577">This is fine for adjusting a single table. But supposing I want to indent all tables in a document or, better, all tables of a certain style. There doesn't seem to be a way to make the indentation setting part of a table style to facilitate this action, at least not through the table settings dialog. I see that I can specify margins in a div style, but I can't seem to apply a div style to a table (or paragraphs for that matter. I need to read up on div styles.)Thanks in a
HiI've a few questions about style management:Is there a way to search for where a style is used in a project or topic? If so, is there a way to search-and-replace, ie, find where a style is used and replace it with another style? When deleting a style, is there a way RH can be set to display a warning if the style to be deleted is being used anywhere?FrameMaker handles the above use cases very well. However, I can't yet see how these actions are done in RH.Thanks!-Kurt
When I generate & publish webhelp files on my desktop, and view the output, everything displays correctly. However, I sent a zip file of the webhelp files to the developer to publish, and when he generates the files (after linking the help call button in the application to the .htm file in the help project file root directory), each topic displays a "website cannot display the page" error, instead of the topic content. The TOC displays correctly for both of us. Any ideas of how to fix this or why this is happening? Or even a checklist of what I should ask the developer? Thanks!
I'm using RH10. When I generate a PDF I get extra lines preceeding the Heading on each page. How do I prevent this?
I'm wondering if anyone expects the maitenance of FM-sourced docs for the purpose of creating PDFs is becoming unnecessary as RH improves it's printed doc output. Thx.
Hi. I'm curious if anyone has any experience or tips to share about a RoboHelp environment that uses BOTH source control and cloud sharing. My company uses perforce. I'm purchasing a couple copies of TCS5, one for me in California, one for writer colleague in Europe. I'd like to use Perforce for version control/backup, but use Dropbox for RH asset sharing and sync. Is this workabout? I'm guessing that the Dropbox/sync mechnism won't work if one or both of us has not checked out a file that needs to be (automatically via sync) updated. ("Not checked out" = file is in read only state.)If RH automatically checks files in/out of perforce in order to complete a cloudshare sync, that would be most cool! Thanks in advance for your ideas!-Kurt
Hi. Does anyone know what the items in the square box below are for, and how to enable them? They're grayed out on my RH11 system. Thx.
I have generated webhelp using RH10. The webhelp works fine with both Firefox and Chrome but when I display the webhelp from my local machine using IE11 the TOC is missing. Here is a screenshot.I also notice that the index is missing as well.

We are performing a proof of concept with RoboHelp 9, and I'm trying to get it up and running to the point where we can upload content to the server. I've been following the instructions from: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/RoboHelp/9.0/RoboEngine/WS5b3ccc516d4fbf351e63e3d11c0aaa9fd7-7ff8.htmlThis is what I have done so far:1. Installed Tomcat7 and verified that Tomcat is installed and running. Set the Java options.2. Installed Robohelp 9, and pointed to the correct install of Java and Tomcat.3. Configured Robohelp, using the application, and created a project called 'Design' using the Access/default option for logging.4. Browsed to http://servername:8080/robohelp/admin and received a 404 Error:As I'm not very familar with web applications/servers, I'm wondering how I point the application to look at the correct folder. It doesn't seem like Tomcat is looking in the right location for the appplication.Do I need to setup IIS to make this work?
I've imported a captivate 6 demo into robohelp 10 and everything works perfectly, except that the closed captioning (CC) icon does not display on the Captivate playbar. It shows up just fine in Captivate, but not in Robohelp.I've tried externalizing the skin to import into Robohelp and I still get the same result. The CC icon doesn't show up in the playbar. I have to have closed captioning in my work environment for my Captivate videos. Can anyone help?
HiI am using FM11-RH10, as part of TCS4.I want to display our copyright and trademark information as a button on the top panel (next to Content, Search, Index, and Glossary). The content is coming from a FrameMaker (.fm) file. So, is there a way I can link a FM file to this button? Ideally, I would want to do it as part of the settings or skin file. If that is impossible, I am fine with having that as a post-import task in RH as well.Is that possible? Sreekanth
This issue is in Robohelp 10, with a project that uses merged projects with a WebHelp output. This project was just upgraded from Robohelp 7 to Robohelp 10; prior to the upgrade, there were no issues with display in the published help. The project is based in a network folder and the webhelp is published to a different network folder. No settings or file locations were changed during the upgrade. When I completed the upgrade, generated and published all merged projects and then generated and published the master project, then attempted to open the complete webhelp from the index .htm file from its network folder, the TOC does not display and the Index and Search functions don't work in Internet Explorer, but all of the above works fine in Firefox. The project is not checked into Source Control. Any insight as to what I can do to correct this is appreciated.
I have a project containing 5 languages. I created a separate html5 single source layout for each so that I can include translated table of contents and index. Is there a recommended technique for pointing into the resulting output given a matching locale? What about defaulting to English in the event that there is no matching locale?
I am using RH10 and the help system is stored on a sharepoint server (it was output as WebHelp)All users are able to access the system once we give them access, but when they go to search for topics, some get results and some don't. I believe it's related to java, but I can't find any documentation on what version of java is required for end users?I have already uninstalled and reinstalled RH (as read in some of the forums) with no changes for the end users. Are their other outputs that don't require java for searching?Anything else I can test?Other information that would be helpful to share? Thanks!Laura(Moved this from the wrong forum -- sorry 🙂 )
Hi, I'm working in RH10 Multiscreen HTML5 with an Android Tablet layout. I've successfully published it and am now trying to clean up little things that testers have commented on. On the Index page, my bottom entry in the index is the word "White", which should return two values when touched. However, those two values fall below the bottom edge of the screen, with no indication to scroll down to see them, so once you've touched there does not appear to be any result to your touch.I'm trying to figure out some way to show what the TOC has, with the > and >> and two down arrows (NodePage, NodeOpenBook and NodePage). Is there a way for me to define additional stuff either in the Index page under the Android Tablet Layout or somewhere else in the project? Perhaps my answer will have to be that I add another word to the index after White which will have only one place to go so there is no confusion like this. After touching White:What I want it to look like without scrolling down as
We are experiencing an issue that I hope someone can assist with. We had a project translated and as such, Spanish accent marks are included over some of the letters in the titles of our project. They are also included in the .htm output titles. All of our links to those that contain the accent marks are broken. We need to keep them in the files to keep them grammatically correct. We've also tried replacing them within the html code itself. For instance, rather than using o with the accent, we replaced it with &#243 (or whatever the exact coding for that one is). Still isn't working.Anyone else have this issue and/or know how to work around it?Thanks,Evin
I have updated a WebHelp project for a Windows app (let’s call it App1). Now the Dev team is creating a separately installed app (lets call it App2) that shares some of the same Help information as the original app. Both apps can be installed on the same system. The Help for App1 is accessed from an About menu in the app UI. Some of the topics are dialog boxes accessed from a question mark icon (?) at the bottom of the UI (I assume map IDs are involved in hooking up the dialog box Help - I need to verify this with Dev). The Help for App2 will be accessed from the App2 UI, which looks very similar to the App1 UI, except that certain features in App1 are missing from App2.Here are the parameters: In some cases, entire Help topics will apply to both apps.In some cases, a portion of a topic for App1 will also apply to App2.In some cases, a topic or topic portion for App 1 does not apply to App2 and vice versaI’m using Robohelp 9 (RH9). Is there a way to allow App1 to display only the
