If it does, how does it do it? and if not, then what are folks using to track and share all their HTM files that are created in RoboHTML and used on the RoboHelp Server?
I'm trying to understand how this update resolves the cross-site scripting issue. We had our Help Desk apply the update to our RoboHelp 8.0.2.208 version, built the xpj, and found the suspicious code still exists.
Hello everyone,I have currently installed Robohelp 9 and Robosource Control 3.1 to a new desktop. I have accessed robosource 3.1 to my desktop and logged in successfully. I can see all the files that are in robosource control 3.1. When I open up robohelp 9 I want to be able to view my files that are in robosource control 3.1. Does anyone know how I can link both of them up together? I want to be able to checkin and checkout files through robohelp 9 if I need to make changes to them. Thanks. J
After working fine for months, I can no longer "View With" Google Chrome after generating WebHelp. Help will not load. I can only "View With" Internet Explorer. What happened?
Is it possible to have the navigation of breadcrumbs (when clicked) go to the correct location in the TOC?At the moment it is navigating to the first Topic in that TOC level. For example: (using the image below) if I click say Student Records breadcrumb, it is taking me to the first topic in the Student Records structureI want it to go to the TOC instead FOR that Student Records level (below)
RH10 | WebHelpDoes anyone know if it's possible to render CSS3 in the standard WebHelp output, not the Multiscreen output? For example, I use the following CSS to create a button with round corners, but when viewed in IE the round corners don't display. However, in Firefox they display fine..btn-primary-action { background-color: #eeaf00; -webkit-border-top-left-radius: 6px; -moz-border-radius-topleft: 6px; border-top-left-radius: 6px; -webkit-border-top-right-radius: 6px; -moz-border-radius-topright: 6px; border-top-right-radius: 6px; -webkit-border-bottom-right-radius: 6px; -moz-border-radius-bottomright: 6px; border-bottom-right-radius: 6px; -webkit-border-bottom-left-radius: 6px; -moz-border-radius-bottomleft: 6px; border-bottom-left-radius: 6px; text-indent: 0px; display: inline-block; color: #ffffff; font-size: 16px; height: 47px; line-height: 47px; width: 193px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; margin:20px 6px 0 0; }Thank
Hello all,Does anyone here generate Javahelp 1.1.3? I'm quite familiar with creating Webhelp and epub using Robohelp. However, we have some javahelp projects i need to upgrade and the style mapping just seems random when displayed in the Javahelp viewer (ie, mix of serif and sans serif fonts, even though my CSS has only sans serif fonts, fonts really tiny, etc).Webworks created Javahelp beautifully but it would be good to use one product for our conversions.Any tips on how to get my stylesheet to work for producing Javahelp? Thanks.
Why is Link > Framemaker Document greyed out in RoboHelp? I am using RH 10 with FM 10 files on CS 3.5; is that why? Do I need to upgrade to TCS 4?
Hello,I was happily working in RoboHelp 10 earlier today but when I had to log out and log in again, all topics from the HTML Files folder in Project Manager were gone, and the folder has a question mark on top of it.My manager is also experiencing the same problem. We have both rebooted our machines and have logged in and out of RH several times but to no avail. The topics are still in Windows Explorer though. It feels like there is a problem with the .cpd file but we don't know what it is. Or maybe something simpler of which we are unaware. Can anyone help please? Thanks.
The TOC in my generated project (Multiscreen HTML5/Andriod (Desktop) layout) is not opening to the correct sub folders. For example, when selecting a Level 1 folder (say the one highlighted in orange), it will jump to a Level 3 list of topics in a completely different level 1 structure (say the list highlighted in green)Level 1 Level 2 Level 3 Level 3 Level 3 Level 2 Level 3 Level 3 Level 3Level 1 Level 2
Hi,I had created a Webhelp Pro Project and deployed to RoboHelp Server I tested with the CSH Test Tool and the Context Sensitive Help works fine with Map Numbers. But, I am not able to test this by calling from the browser. My URL 'http://rbh:8080/rbhelp/server?prj=BPR&area=test'Please help in forming URL Query string to access the context sensitive Page using Map Ids and also Map Numbers.Thanks,sdesab.
Hi I am not sure if this query comes under FrameMaker forum or RoboHelp, but since I did not see RH Integration category in FrameMaker forums, I am posting it here. Moderators, please move it to the right forum or let me know if I have to delete it from here and post it elsewhere. If I wanted to publish a WebHelp output from FrameMaker 11, I had an option of selecting my settings.ISF file, which had all my FM-RH styles mapped, and publishing it. But now, in FM 12, I don't see it. I have to select the CSS file and re-do the mapping all over again. Am I missing something here? How can I feed the ISF or mapped doc to FM so that I don't have to do the mapping everytime I publish the Webhelp output from FM12?Thank in advance.Sreekanth
There's an issue with RoboHelp 11 importing older versions of ISF files. This has been addressed with a patched .dll file. The details and download link are available here:http://helpx.adobe.com/robohelp/kb/isf-file-getting-imported-robohelp.html
Hi all(Apologies if you've already read this on the Framemaker forum - posted there first by accident)We're using the trial version of Framemaker 12 as part of the TCS5 suite.I've been experimenting with the Publish pod to create WebHelp.I managed to create pretty good help files, and was pleased with the result. Then I changed a few things (renamed some book files to provide better search results) and now when I generate Webhelp and view the output, "This help system has no topics" appears in the main window. This happens regardless of whether I generate the book, or a single file. There clearly are topics, which appear in the TOC on the left. When I click an item in the TOC, the help file works fine.Even when I revert to the original file names, it still happens. Also, the search function no longer works - it did before.I've noticed that there is a NoTopic.htm file which is produced during generation - when I delete this, I get a missing file icon. But why is it using this as the defaul
Generated multiscreen output clean with no errors; however, simply browsing final output is creating these script error popups like those shown below - Help - this needs to be fixed ASAP...
I have a question. I am using Robohelp 9 client and RoboSource Control 3.1. I just installed RoboSource Control 3.1 two days ago. It appeared to load my project to the database correctly. Yesterday I updated several topics and generate and published them to our website, all is looking good. Today I decide to test the restoring of a verson of that topic but when I opened up RSC an viewed the history there was only 1 version the initial load. I had used RSC two years ago and then it always showed the versions you could chose from but now there is only one version. What is the problem?System attributes: Robohelp 9 client HTML RoboSource Contorl 3.1 Robohelp Server v9.0 Webhelp Pro 9.01.262
I'm using RH10 as part of TCS4. Multiple projects that are routinely updatedfor the past 10 years suddenly (since the last update) now all fail during the Publish operation with an unhelpful error "Failed to create chr_book_op.gif." The projects generate without error so this is not a problem within TCS4. Since the error occurs in multiple projects, I assume it is a connectivity issue. To test, I verified that I can manually (using Filezilla) FTP all files to the target Web site so I know the FTP settings are valid. I have verified that the Filezilla FTP settings are the same settings as defined in the project's Publish settings. The only thing that changed since the last update is that I swapped out a broadband modem. Everything works correctly with the new modem, and I assume that since I can successfully manually FTP, the modem is not the source of the problem.Has anyone seen this error before? I'm at a loss as to how to further troubleshoot. It would be a nuisance if I
I am generating CHM help for French, English, German and other languages using RH10. Each time I generate CHM file, images goes on missing from the final output . I could not locate images in Image folder of Project Manager although images are there in the default Test folder of the project.
HiI am evaluating TCS 5 with the trial version. In FrameMaker 11, while publishing my book to WebHelp, I could associate the masterpage (.htt) file to get its header/footer in the output. However, I don't see that option in FM12. I have looked through the Help and it doesn't seem to offer any solution either. (Some part of TCS 5 help actually contains TCS 4 content. Have logged a bug report on that.)If not through the master page, what is the other way to get especially the footer in WebHelp output? Footer contains our copyright information. So, there is no way I can ignore it.Can somebody please point me to the right direction? Thanks in advance.Sreekanth
RH10- After generating to WebHelp links to PDF files do not work. If I preview the topic in RH, the file will open and display. RH Project reports no broken links. If I link to the file again, the file will import into RH and overwrite the file that exists already. If I do a generate and view at my desktop, the hyperlinked files cannot be found. If I do a Primary Layout view, the files cannot be found in FireFox. Had too many issues with IE10 so I stopped using it. I have never had this happen before with any version of RoboHelp. Please help me.
I am unable to view my Primary Layout single source webhelp properties in RH9. Several of the single source layout icons have "?" marks on them. How do I correct this? Thanks.
I have just started to try out the RoboHelp 10 Multiscreen HTML5 format and have found a problem with merged projects.I carry out the usual procedure for merged projects by adding each child project to the TOC of the parent project then generate and publish each one.Upon viewing the published help system, the parent project is correct with the TOC showing the child topics. However, upon clicking on a child topic in the TOC the child topic will open but shows as a standalone project, i.e. the TOC/Index etc no longer shows the whole merged project.I am using the same screen layout for all projects and have tried using various other default RoboHelp screen layouts, all without success.I can publish the exact same project using WebHelp and everything works perfectly. Is there an extra step somewhere for Multiscreen HTML5?Chris
When I try to zip the .CHM file and mail it to the developer or when I upload it to Dropbox everything seems to be fine. The file is 5.8 MB (72 Topics)But when he tried to open it all he sees are the purple "books" and the individual Topic Titles - but the Topic pages are not appearing. What am I doing wrong? He also needs the mapping numbers for all 72 Topics. I generated these - now how do I send them to him? Where is the file I need and what is it called (BCCSDefualt.h ?)I am using RoboHelp 10 on a Windows 7 computer - haven't used RoboHelp in 6 years so I am very rusty!Peter ThayerThayer Birding Software
How do you create mouse-over balloon pop-up help menus for context sensitive help using Word files?
Hi. I'm experimeting with RoboHelp (trial copy). One prospective user is asking if it is possible to view several consecutive topics in one scrollable view. For example, if the user were to click on a topic, (and then invoke some type of view-all option) , all subtopics would appear in the frame, one after the other, perhaps with text indented according to the hierarchy in the TOC. This user's interest is to be able to read an entire document (ie, topic with subtopics) without the need to keep clicking in the nav area to expose each subsequent topic's text. Could someone comment as to whether this is possible to set up?We've been using FrameMaker to make PDFs up til now. PDFs are of course fine for allowing a reader to read consecutive topics in by simply scrolling through the PDF. We're considering moving to Help-based manuals to make it easier to find stuff (via search) across all FM books we import into the RH project. There's the idea of course of having the best of both worl
