In my TOC, I have book icons and topics underneath.I'd like the books to display content to serve as a kind of "overview" for the topics that come underneath it. How do I enter content for book icons?Thanks!

Hi all!For some reason when I publish with the same FTP settings I've used dozens of time, I get a message "Publishing has been cancelled.  Failed to create file: Account_Reminders.jpg."  Now - before you think you know the answer here, I have consulted the forum and read Peter Grainge and others and their very detailed and helpful notes - but unfortunately they're not working for me!I have created a new folder (twice) and tried to publish to that new folder - same thing.  I created a folder on my hard drive and published to it without problem, so it has to be something involving the FTP.  I am over my head here - can anyone please help me?Thanks in advance!Chris

HalloI'm using RoboHelp 8 from the Technical Communication Suite.When I try to import a doc/docx file for my HTML help I get the message: 'The Import Word Document Wizard cannot locate a supported version of Microsoft Word. Please install Microsoft Word 2000 or newer.'Actually I have Microsoft Word 2010 installed in its default path.Do I have to set some particular options? Some days ago I had my PC replaced with a new one and I had to reinstall all of my programs. I think I've missed some settings.Thank you

Hello All,I have generated an output with adobe AIR, Midnight Black skin (accordeon template in Robohelp 8). Everything works fine, but chrome development panel shows that Midnight%20Black.swf is not found (the special symbols are intact). This file is supposed to be under the Themes directory, but I cannot find it there - neither on the local PC nor on the server.Where can I find it? also, if the core file is missing, why does everything work perfectly fine?Thanks1

How can I remove the underline from the list items in the popup menus associated with Related Topics and See Also buttons as shown in the picture?I am using RH 9.0.2. This project is being generated as WebHelp.Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi,I have text centered below all thumbnail images that says "Click to Enlarge."  This works great when I the image is center aligned, but if the image is right aligned, the text below the image is centered below the image in the editor, but the text moves left when previewing or generating.How do I get text to stay exactly where it is in the editor without moving when previewing/generating?On the image below, the text is centered below the image (on the left), but it moves after previewing/generating (on the right).Thanks,Jeff

Hello,We are experiencing issues when using RoboHelp HTML 10 with SVN. I have created a small project containing two topics and checked it into SVN. My colleague can then get the project from SVN and the topics appear within the RoboHelp interface as expected. However, if I then add new topics into the RoboHelp project and check them into SVN, when my colleague gets the files (which appear on his hard drive as expected), they are not picked up within the RoboHelp interface.  I have read this thread (http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1072217), however deleting the CPD file either manually or setting the check box in RoboHelp has not made a difference.   There was no issue using RH9 and SVN - this is a new phenomenon (the project I have created is a small test project, but our larger, production project is experiencing the same problems). We have a basic set up - we don't use a PushOK plugin for RoboHelp; we have set the CPD and PSS files to ignore in SVN.Any help would be gr

Is it possible to give spacing between the TOC entries within a skin?

We recently upgraded from RH7 to RH10.  I'm running 10.0.1. 1. The files (webhelp) generate fine, and in the output on my desktop I can see everything as I should (TOC, Index, Glossary, and all the topics and links) in Chrome and in Firefox. In IE11, the output seems fine, until I accept the blocked content. Than the pane with TOC, Index, Glossary, Search is empty.2. When the output is put on a server, and when opening, the TOC, Index and Search content is correct, but you don't see the topics. The pane that holds the topics is blank with only an error message :The error our Web server is giving for the defaultpage is : Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /..../intronl/introzw_n.htm on line 1The first line of the new RH 10 files are : <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>The OLD RH 7 files did not have this line.Thanks for any help!!!

When I generate a .chm in RoboHelp and click to view the result: the .chm becomes displayed; when I click in the .chm on a link for opening a .pdf the .pdf is displayed correctly in the main .chm window.When I doubleclick the same .chm in the Windows Explorer: the .chm becomes displayed; when I click in the .chm on a link for opening a .pdf the .pdf is NOT displayed; instead a small grey icon is displayed in the main .chm window. This occurs on any pdf-link. It is impossible to show a .pdf included in a help-.chm.It occurs on Windows 7 64 bit + IE10.It does not occur on Windows 7 32 bit + IE10.It does not occur on Windows 7 64 bit + IE9 or IE8.Is there a solution?

Hello...having trouble with both methods of outputting PDFs, both Single Source Layouts - Printed Documentation and Review - Create PDF for Review. Both outputs have their good and bad points, however I have settled on the Printed Doc as the least work to make respectable.I'm working with RH v10 and Acrobat XI Pro.I do have problems like blank pages, easy to delete but the page numbering is then wrong. Does anyone know how to get rid of page numbering? It happens even when I use a custom master page with no numbering.But by far my biggest issue is with two long tables refusing to print beyond one page resulting in many of the rows being lost. I've gotten round it by using the Review PDF and pasting that in but it's time consuming and has different formatting, and of course that puts the page numbering out as well.I think this is very poor of Adobe, I'm really sorry I started using the RH editing instead of leaving the source in FrameMaker or Word. I was wondering if you can add a property/code to the skin that would stop horizontal scrolling of the TOC/hide the horizontal scrollbar.  I've tried a few things but none of them seem to work.

Since upgrading to RoboHelp 10, we are having problems with popups Auto-sizing when the .chm is called from our program.  Auto-sizing pop-ups are displaying in a small window that always requires the user to do vertical and horizontal scrolling.A workaround could be to change all of the Auto-sizing pop-ups in a project to Custom-sized pop-ups specifying what the Width and Height should be.Problem is that there are a bezillion of these that require changing.Is there a way this can be accomplished 'globally'?  Only Auto-sizing pop-ups should be changed to the Custom-sized pop-ups.  'Display in frame hyperlinks' would remain 'Display in frame'.Looking forward to advice from those with more experience.Thanks!

How can I create what's this functionality in robohelp 10 html project.

I was catching up on watching a televsion show and watching it with no issues/no problems with flash before. I went to the website below  and all of a sudden flash is not working. I did not change any settings, run any updates. I checked various browsers, flash content is not working on any of them. I can view youtube videos however just about any other site I've tried, nothing and many websites will not display correctly. I tried some of the troubleshooting suggestions in the forum however some of them I'm unable to do such as alter the flash settings, it takes me to the page but tells me I don't have Flash installed. I've tried switching user accounts on my pc as others have said flash works for them on the other account however mine is still broken. I've actually tried a system restore, still no luck.Windows 8 (64 bit)Flash Version 11.9.900.152Tried web browsers IE, Firefox, Chrome - I've verified it is enabledActive X is disabledI've ran the 'test' to verify Flash is installed

Hello all,I was wondering if anyone could help me with an issue I am having in flash. I made a shape using the pen tool and made it a mask. Then I inserted key frames and did a few shape tweening. It works fine for a while and then suddenly freaks out in a couple of frames then goes back to normal and I can't figure out why. I have the file if anyone wants to take a look, I can email or if there is any way to attach it here I can. Any help wouyld be appreciated. Thanks!

Hello all,Our company is looking into RoboHelp 10.  However, I have tried multiple times to request a demo from Adobe's sales department and was always passed to support, who passed me back to sales and so on.  The last person I was able to contact in support let me know they don't do demos of this product.  The guy mentioned just trying out the trial version and setting it up to see if we like it and if we don't, no worries.  Well, we don't have the time or the resources to just try it out to see if it's something we can use.  We are seriously looking for an online help system.So with that said, would anyone be interested in sharing how you are using RoboHelp 10 for your clients and maybe talk some features and ease of use of this system.  If so, I would be very grateful for any help so that we can decide if this is something we will want to use.  Hopefully, you can send me a private message and I can send them back, so that we can connect.Thank you

We have made some changes for security reasons, and my regular host address no longer works. when I entered an IP address as the host for ftp publishing, my whole project crashed and I can't re-open it..  I don't have a recent backup, though I can patch something together. I'm hoping I can do something with individual files to solve the problem.The files that changed, according to the timestamp, were:The cpd file (I already renamed that so it would rebuild - didn't help)The .ldb file$rhvariable$.htmThe pss fileIs there anything I can do with any of these files to solve the problem?Thanks for any help...Marion

Hi all -I'm using RH HTML 9 to maintain our help file, and I've come into a fairly big (okay, devastating) issue with our map files. The issue is that they are just... gone. All my topics were correctly linked yesterday, but when I opened up RH today the links were gone from the Topic Properties menu and I am unable to add/link new IDs:I'm not quite sure what would have caused this, as the file location hasn't changed and I haven't done anything other than generate a new version of the project. Anyone have any ideas?I'm not well-versed in the behind-the-scenes workings of RH, so I'm not quite sure what to do here. Please help!Thanks,Erin

I've created hyperlinks to bookmarks. Some change color when clicked and some don't.

I have a Robohelp 9 project (single sourced through FrameMaker)I can compile the help and run. When I view it, I see the full help along with the "Allow blocked content" message. When I click Allow Blocked Content, my help appears but now the TOC is missing. (see images below)I have been generating the help for the same way for a long time and this is the first time I have seen this problem.I did install/uninstall Robohelp 10, but I have built help (albeit a different project) successfully after thatI do not really know what scripts are running here and blocked. Has anyone seen this and can anyone help?Thank you!

I am converting a RoboHelp 5 WebHelp project to RoboHelp 10 WebHelp and the project uses 508 compliant output.  When I click on the search tab I see special characters like $, %, !, #, etc. showing up as search words.  I have tried adding the characters to the Stop Words list and generating the output again but the special characters still show up.  Is there a way to suppress these characters from showing up in search?  The characters do not show up in the RoboHelp 5 508 output.  I am using IE8.

When I search for "Glossary" the Glossary Topic does not appear at the top of the search list. When I type: "Search" The search Topic is at the top of the search list. Both of the topic titles are written with Heading 1 style.

Hi,I have 2 separate projects and they are both having the same issue....In the Project Manager > Broken Links folder no broken links display, but when I check in the HTML FIles (Topics) and Images folder I see broken links.  Any ideas why this could be happening?Some where very obvious.  It was an image on one of my very important pages.Help!
