We have a PDF form template that has several text fields, some with fill colors set, others without. The form is filled in and saved as a PDF then sent to our client. The client opens the PDF using Acrobat and adds additional text using either "Edit PDF" or "Fill & Sign". As soon as they click on either of these options, the fields with fill colors suddenly have the background color in front of the value. i.e. The value is hidden behind the fill color. The value is still present and can be seen in "Fill & Sign", but it is not visible when clicking out of the field. How can we set up these forms properly so that the value is always in front of the background fill color?

I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro; Windows 11; & Chrome browser.  I recently started receiving the following message when clicking on a .pdf link in any application.  If I am able to download the pdf to somewhere (e.g., desktop), then click on the saved download the pdf will open, but not directly from the original link.  I've "repaired" the Acrobat install to no avail.  Any ideas on how to fix?    "Bad RequestYour browser sent a request that this server could not understand.Reference #7.6c18d017.1749840006.67c8de0chttps://errors.edgesuite.net/7.6c18d017.1749840006.67c8de0c"

We have a document that was designed in InDesign. After it is saved as a PDF, when a person tries to select text, hidden rectangles all over the page appear and are highlighted, jumping back and forth from unhighlighted to highlighted. There is nothing there to be highlighted. We've made many similar documents and not had this before. We want people to be able to copy text from the PDF if needed. Currently this is impossible. Why is this happening?

When I open the PDF file, there is not ability to get to "Tools" on one system but when I go to another system I can see it.  But in neither case can I see the "Protect" option to password protectr the file.  Probably very simple but I can't make it happen.  Easy answer for someone but not me.  Please assist.

I have just purchased an Acrobat subscrition from  SoftwareShore. They provide a download to install the software but when I click to open it I receive a message "macOS cannot verify that this app is free from malware"Could the software be corrupt or is this normal for a subsciption based software download?Thanks.

Typically I create new invoices by duplicating a previous one, and renaming the copy. Thereafter I edit it and save a copy in a cloud. However if I go into the cloud file and open the pdf, it opens in Adobe Acrobat however it displays as the original invoice created months ago. Whereas if I open the same file through the Acrobat app it displays the new invoice. Can someone please tell me what I must do to ensure the new file is displayed irrespective of how I open it. TIA

I want to save a signature so that when I open adobe next time I only have to select the signature or initials. but saving doesn't work anymore

Does anyone know whether there is a way to set the default bookmark zoom level in Acrobat Professional 2020?  I would like to set the default to inherit Zoom.  Currently, I have to change the zoom of each bookmark that I create.  I believe there is a solution for those who have an Acrobat Professional subscription.  See https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/set-the-default-zoom-level-for-bookmarks/m-p/11355163#M270494.  However, that doesn't work in Adobe Acrobat Professional 2020 which is an excellent program but not quite as the subscription program.  As to the attached screenshot shows, at least when I follow the instrutions provided, I don't have the option to set a default Zoom level for bookmarks.  Thanks for your help.  One solution suggested by others that does not work is selecting all bookmarks after they have all been created, then clicking on properties, and resetting them all at once to inheritz zoom.  I can't

I subscribed to the monthly plan of Acrobat Pro DC and downloaded the installer and ran it in Administrator mode.After proceeding to 75%, it waits for a long time and then gives me a C136 error with an option to retry or quit. I've attempted "retry" thrice, only to end up at the same place.I also followed instructions in these forums and ran the Adobe CC cleanup tool as well as the uninstaller tool. It still does not get resolved.Windows 10 Homei7 4th Gen processor8 GB RAM

I work at a commerical print shop and we've had an issue for a little while now where objects that are set to screen (or multiply, etc) that are a pantone color do not show up in Acrobat. They also don't show up on the printer. As soon as I change the colors to CMYK, they show up just fine. This recently popped up where a customer had tried to color a QR code with a screen of their Pantone blue and we didn't even know it was there because it just showed up white. Has anyone else had this issue? My guess is it's related to the Pantone libraries being removed from Adobe products but I'm not quite sure why it's having issues in the PDF. *Also, I know we can just preflight the files and convert everything to cmyk but our printers have pretty good spot color matching systems so we like to leave it in there in case we need to tweak the color on the printer. It has to have a spot color value in order to be edited on the printer. 

Hi all,I combined two pdf documents and it all went well.Afterwards I realised that the two documents were different sizes (actual page sizes). Found a tutorial online showing how to overcome this. So far so good.I have opened the "new"  file on 2 different machines using adobe and no problem, but on a 3d machine I receive the error message that the file has "bad Xref type entires", which I've read up on but don't pretend to understand. It isn't a major issue, but I'm concerned other users of this file (it is to be made available to many) might experience issues opening the file. How do I fix this? I have saved under a new name, as some suggested, but nothing has changed.Thanks in advance. 

Im running Windows 11 64 bit - previously I had a version of Acrobat Pro in the computer. Now I see the files in the registry but I cant remove them. Ive tried running the Adobe uninstaller and installer, Safe Mode, and Control Panel. I also am unable to install Adobe reader and I get the newer version already installed error message. How do I remove ALL Adobe from the computer to start all over. This is just terrible! Please HELP!  Thanks!JT 

I hate you so much adobe. I open adobe. It crashes. I open adobe again. I get an additional second then it crashes. Fifteen time this happens until I finally can open my document. I CAN NOT EVEN CREATE A NEW DOCUMENT BECAUSE I CANT GO ON THE HOMEPAGE FOR LONGER THAN 2 SECONDS BEFORE IT CRASHES. This software company is garbage and I hope they fail in all future endevors and their spouses leave them for people who are actually capable.

The comment tool is not working properly - all the comment options disappear (text, textbox, call out box...) after typing. 

I need to process approximately 100 PDF files, and I usually use the actions in Adobe Acrobat Pro 2015 for batch processing. However, I can only find 'Scale pages to A4' in the default actions, and cannot batch scale pages to Letters. Is there a way to Batch Convert A4 Pages to Letters?

Hello, I have received a document for formatting. The client wants me to add trackers to the PDF. He sent specific instructions such as: Typesetter Instructions for Hidden TrackersAll hidden trackers will be placed in the following locations:-Footer, below page number-Following the period ending the last sentence of Scope-HIDDEN COLOR MUST BE ZERO PERCENT BLACK-Codes for each group are as follows: ANSI Code: xxxxxxName with document designation and distributor name (e.g., document_name_ansi.pdf) CEI Code: xxxxxName with document designation and distributor name (e.g., document_name_cei.pdf) And there are more codes to be added. I never worked with trackers in PDF. I am not tech-savvy when it comes to working with scripts, HTML, or other similar tools. I need some help with that. Thank you very much. Sebastian

Hi All, I'm in the need for some much needed advice and guidance. I have a client that would like a menu on their pdf that is kind of like a menu on a website. Each button will have a rollover state and link to certain pages within the document. I created the rollovers in InDesign and they more often than not work really well. However, they can often be glitchy, where some buttons will randomly stay in their rollover state colour.  I have the latest versions of acrobat, and the pdf has been exported as an interactive pdf. Is there something that I'm doing wrong? Its annoying how random it is though which makes me think its a software issue. The client has looked at it on their computer and it does the same. I shall try and upload an example if I can.
