Questions

When I receive a pdf from an outsource, it won't print on my printer. I can print a pdf from my compter, but not one thzt was created on another computer. This also applies to forms generated on a website.  I get an error message about a "postscript". I have tried everything..resaving the pdf, copying the pdf. All it does is that it wants to save it. I can't get it to print. I've tried to check my settings, but to no avail.  Can anyone help? Thanks. Barbara

I work in prepress.MacOS Monterey: Vs 12.6.2 (cant update because of other programs that are almost obsolete)Acrobat DC: Vs 2024.005.20400 Seems like EVERY TIME I close a window, acrobat crashes... each time it crashes, the toolbar moves from the top to the side then back to the top, now its back to the side... and I loose all my toolbar customizations. I am too afraid to uninstall and reinstall because I also use FusionPro VDP Creator 13.0.2 & Enfocus Pitstop pro 24.11. Any suggestions? 

I'm use Adobe Pro. I am working on a document that is already book marked. When I click on "Organize pages" for the purpose of extracting pages, or rotating them, even if I do not make any changes to the document, the bookmarks in the file stop working. I can see when I right click on the bookmarks that on the  "Actions" tab, the associated action to go the page has been deleted. Has anyone encountered this problem, or know how to fix it? Working on Microsoft, and downloaded this version yesterday when I got a new tablet (Surface Pro).

Well,  I bought the whole package!. per month. However, I was hoping to NOT download all of the programs nor even any to my computer but log-in to my account and use them online. Does anyone know if this is this possible? Much thanks in advance!

I have a pdf that's set on a 8.5 x 11.   I now need to print it back-to-back in a booklet that will only be 6.125" wide with the text area being 4.125", that is 1" left and right margins.  Since it's a booklet, I need to mirror the margins so that everything works for the inside (binding side) and outside edges of the 6.125" wide paper.  I can't find how to do this on Adobe.  Any suggestions would be most appreciated. 

Hi, I have a problem with my Adobe Acrobat licence. I bought it in 2016 and successfully installed it on my computer. I’ve just changed my computer and I would like to move the Acrobat on my new computer. I uninstalled the program from my previous computer and installed on the new one. But the Adobe Acrobat doesn’t work, I see all the time request to log in but I don’t remember which login I used to register the licence. Is there any way to get the info which login I used to register the licence if I have the serial number?

Hello, We are using Acrobat Pro in our citrix environment, we are saving user profiles with ivanti workspace control, but sometimes the application is just not logging in automatically, while if you restart the application, suddenly you are logged in. Going to Help > sign in occurs in error initializing please try again later. What can we check? Thanks,thomas 

I recieved a document by email that is signed by several people on adobe acrobat. I recieved a statement that not all signatures are verified so I manuallly varified. The document is all varified I sent it to someone else and again some of the signatures are not varified. How can I solve this? If we need to send the files to the FDA for example they cant not be verified and they shouldnt have to manually do it. Thanks 

I worked for an MSP and observed adobe open files very slowly across the board for several clients.  The pattern I've typically observed is - it will not happen with the first file they open.  The program will already be open when they attempt to open another file, and then nothing will happen for 30 seconds, sometimes longer, then it opens.  These are relatively light pdf files it'll happen to. Any ideas on what could be happening or has there been any report of an influx of these cases?  On a side note, I've tried turning off enchanced security.

How do I set my Preferences so that my page view is "Fit to width scrolling" by default? The options in Preferences are confusing (ex. Single page continuous, Two up) because (1.) they don't correspond to the options in Acrobat's toolbar and (2.) "continuous" doesn't do what I thought it would do.

In a report document I have created there are graphs which I designed in illustrator and imported as eps files into the indesign file. Our brand uses the font 'realist' and the stylistic set one. When I run an accessibilty check this is flagging up a character encoding error, but only with the labels in the graphs. The rest of the copy in indesign itself is fine. I have made sure fonts are emdedded when saving the graph files. I don't really want to have the graphs copied and pasted from illustrator into indesign, nor do i want to use a different font. Has anyone found a solution to this problem please?

I have a worker who is having issues with printing PDFs from adobe. When ever they try to print adobe acrobat freezes and then at the top the program says (Not Responding). I tried to unistall adobe but that frooze as well. I restated their computer and once logged back in adobe was gone. So I reinstalled adobe and after it was done i tried to print a pdf but it frooze again when trying to print and then again at the top it says not responding. Anyone have any ideas or sugjestions i could try to get this issue resolved.

Hi, My Adobe Acrobat recently updated to version "Adobe Acrobat (64-bit) (24.003.20112) and the e-sign feature has disappeared. When I select all tools it directs me to the Web App to e-sign which is incredibly inconvenient. My laptop uses the same version of Acrobat and still has the feature natively. Please can anyone assist in restoring this? Thanks  

Hi I experience an extremly slow opening time for PDF files or just starting the Acrobat App. It takes 30  to 60 seconds. When I go to the “Settings” on many pages, I cannot see all the parameters and therefore cannot change them. The app is up to date. I am running Windows 11 Pro (latest version). The laborious task of scripting multiple fields within an Acrobat form presents a formidable challenge. Driven by this very difficulty, I endeavored to craft a Folder Level script, a mechanism to imbue numerous fields with specialized code within their Properties tabs. Alas, my creation falters.Consider, if you will, a scenario. From the dialog box's dropdown, I select the "Day" field, its true nature revealed in the sequence "Day1" through "Day31." Within this same dialog, I specify "1" as the Start Number and "31" as the End Number, thus defining the scope of my intended action. Furthermore, I choose "Format" from the Target Action menu. Finally, in the designated area for JavaScript Code, I input the specific script intended for the Format property of these selected fields. The culmination of these actions, however, yields not the desired result, but rather a disheartening error, etched in the console log.I find myself in a state of hopeful anticipation, awaiting your invaluable ass

There has to be an answer somewhere for this issue. In settings->Commenting there is supposed to be the Auto detect pen hardware setting, but on my surface it is missing.  How do I get it back. I know its missing because its there on two other Surface Pro 6 computers and a lenovo mix, all running the same versions of windows 10 and all running the same version of Acrobat including the patch level. On this surface using the pen in Acrobat is quite horrible.  No issues using the pen in word and other apps though. Please somebody help. Bruce

Hey there, I'm looking to streamline our event preparation. Across the year, my team and I organise 8+ events, and we use a repeatable format to create a race pack that includes details for the competitors, such as location, layout, courses, timings, and safety details. Currently, we use Google Slides to create this, which requires lots of copying and pasting from our internal event planning document (using a standard format so can link fields) Is there a way to create a template that can autofill from our event doc (Word.dox format) to complete these details for each event as we create the race pack and planning documents? I imagine we would need to match fields so would need to create the planning doc with these also?Thanks for your help - An example of our current format attached 

Hello, Having an issue with PDFs displaying a different font than what I saved them as. I save documents created in MS Word as a PDF with the Open Sans font, but when opening the PDF it's been replaced with something called OpenSansRoman font which is quite different. I don't actually have the OpenSansRoman font installed on my PC so I'm not sure where it's coming from. Is there anyway to remove it? Many thanks for any help.

I keep getting this message when I try to open a simple invoice PDF created by me (and one that I used to constantly edit with Acrobat). It only seems to crash with this file, but it is not corrupted. I just re-installed my Acrobat DC on my HP Laptop.  I was able to edit PDF with this program no problem until the re-install.  Now whenever I click on Edit PDF i get "Adobe has encountered and unknown error"Anyone have help for this?  I checked other forum answers - they all date from last year and none of those solutions have worked...example document attached...Please help?

I use Acrobat PRO DC.How can I create a PDF form --> signature that is only signed one time and appears on all following pages.My customer wants to have a signature on all pages, but it is impossible to sign and save the document on/for all the pages.The function "Duplicate field on all pages" does not work for signature fields. I'm encountering this issue on multiple computers for multiple clients. When attempting to open PDFs, Acrobat either fails to open or opens without displaying the document. No error message appears. I've tried completely removing all Adobe-related files and folders from the user data, program data, and temp directories, followed by a fresh installation of the latest Acrobat version. Disabling enhanced security settings, certified plugins, and the new Acrobat look, which previously resolved similar issues, is no longer effective. Has anyone else encountered this error or knows of a solution?

I spent hours yesterday in front of my computer while Adobe tried to resolve my issue.When I click on the envelope to attach the document to an email the file closes and so does the programme. So I am having to save the doument and then attach it to an email.I went to files. I unchecked the box in account settings for Cached Exchange Mode but that made no difference

The "Use modern interface for signing and Digital ID configuration" was freezing the application whenever my users are trying to sign a document. The workaround was to go to Preferences > Signatures > Creation & Appearance to uncheck "Use modern interface for signing and Digital ID configuration".  I came across this forum which was A BLESSING. Path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\DC\FeatureLockDown\cSecurity\cPubSec. Create two DWORD values bEnableCEFBasedUI and bSelfSignCertGen. Set them to 0. 

Need help please... I have 4 check boxes with values of 0,1,5,5 when I calculate and use 'maximum' it works, since I need to get "5" maximum score. However, on another section, I have 5 check boxes with values of 0,1,1,1,1 where I can't use 'maximum', since I need to get "3" max score. I also can't use 'sum(+)', as it will exceed "3" max when four boxes with values of "1" are selected.
