Questions

I am new to the full CC suite but a long-time InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop user. I'm looking for suggestions from the pros as to how I can best use the suite to market my organization. I hope to map my learning of each product based on your suggestions. Is there a Community you can suggest that I join?

Adobe retired the recertification exam. Some of us need to be up to date with the exams since we teach at Adobe certified places. They just announced the new exams which will be in August and I think that the "OLDER" certified community like us that have so much experience should fight together to bring back the Recertification exam.  I teach the ACA classes in USC, I give advise to students about the ACE exams and feel that it is not fair to ask us to do the entire exam again every two years. 1. In the past as an ACP we got a code from Adobe for free exams...but as everything else it went away now we get 50% off...2. In the past Adobe certified people created the test now it is part of Pearson and actually it is a money making venture...3. they said that the recertification was on line so was not fair, they can bring it back not on line. Why experts like us need to do the entire test? we are the one that answers the questions...They asking us with our experience to do the same test

If you have a flickr account, I guess you will have one of these emails.  Yout have had something similar if you have a SmugMug but no flickr account.  I've been uploading to flickr since 2006.  The flickr discussion groups were very active back then, but died a death when Yahoo took over flickr and messed up the UI which made it too slow to use for me.   I have a couple of photography buddies who sell pictures through SmugMug, but I have never had the implication personally. If you have a flickr and/or SmugMug account and thoughts about the implication of the merger, I'd love to hear your thoughts.  I rarely upload anything nowadays, although I do put up event images to private albums to share them.   .....We’re excited to announce that Flickr has agreed to be acquired by SmugMug, the photography platform dedicated to visual storytellers.SmugMug has a long history of empowering people who love photography and who want to improve their craft, maki

Yes. Earlier this month Tom Boger, senior director of Mac Hardware Product Marketing, told Tech Crunch, “We want to be transparent and communicate openly with our pro community, so we want them to know that the Mac Pro is a 2019 product. It’s not something for this year.”What’s the important part of that statement? When Tom says, “pro community” he’s not only being transparent about the release time frame, what he’s also saying is, “Are you part of that pro community even if you qualify as a ‘pro’?” There are a limited number of professionals who need that kind of Olympic weight lifting technology muscle. The top tier Apple and HP laptops are not able to host the RAM needs of many professionals because of RAM limit specification of Intel’s microprocessor. So, those current laptop issues open the door for important desktop computing alternatives. But, at some point Intel will solve the laptop RAM issue. It’s worth mentioning that the microprocessors which go into laptop computers, are tra

So, does everyone agree that Adobe has the worst customer experience ever when there is a problem?!!!  The chat feature is a complete joke!!!

I'm having a problem installing this open source font kit.  Please someone help.  My Mac says “FinishInstallOSX” can’t be opened because it is from an unidentified developer.  Your security preferences allow installation of only apps from the App Store and identified developers.  Safari downloaded this file today at 1:51 PM from www.adobe.com.  I called Adobe.  They told me to come here.

To maintain constancy and eliminate the current confusion in definitions, I would like of offer a standard regarding terms for use in Forum posts. They refer to dpi, lpi and white balance. If I am lucky, in the future these terms will be as universally treasured as the flag, home and the loyalty of a fine dog.  PPI: Pixels – picture elements per inch viewed on a monitor. I think we are safe here.DPI: The number of inkjet printer ink droplets. It is measured in picoliters and may appear among a given machine’s specs. When printing, the number of droplets varies throughout the tonal scale with few ink dots deposited on a surface to create the lighter tones and more of them deposited to create the darker tones. We might refer to this variation in the number of dots as Frequency Modulation (FM) and it is the only time the term DPI should be used. Promise me.LPI:  Dots deposited on a surface by offset lithography or letterpress printing. When viewed from a distance, the dots seem

Does anyone know where I can find this year's main stage presentation lineup at NAB? (South Hall, lower level) I have trouble finding it every year. Thanks in advance.

Needing source for nautical maps ... anyone know?

You’ve shot great footage. But, you need to trim off the the first few and last few seconds of that clip.Adobe Prelude was designed with broadcast and cable news organizations in mind just for that very purpose. It’s easy for reporters and producers to rough cut footage before giving it to craft editors to complete. Some of these electronic journalists jump right into the big nonlinear editing (NLE) products: Adobe Premier Pro, Apple Final Cut Pro or Avid Media Composer. How about you?
