I am designing a logo for someone else's website and wanted to use the Myriad Pro font for the logo. Do I need to buy a license for that font?
Hi,Is it legal to use the fonts that come with Indesign for commercial print use?So the print documents would be exported as pdf's from Indesign, and then sent to the printer.Just wanting to know if you need to purchase some other type of licence for the fonts, or whether the Indesign licence covers this?cheersmark.
Does anyone know what font this is? Much appreciated. The word Raiders and the B. I need to recreate and no one knows.
Is there a copyright infringement problem if I chose to use my collection of client fonts for comping and layouts?Doing a lot of design jobs over the years have left me with quite an expansive collection of fonts that were - and a lot who still are - being used for clients jobs. The fonts is licensed to the clients. But some clients have moved on and I still have a copy of their fonts.I would never use any of the collected fonts for any production, they are strictly for comping/layouting.Whenever a new customer needs the same font, I look through and try out fonts from my collection, and if the design is approved, I buy the font again specifically for this new client.I am interested in hearing if I am infringing on any rights, when I use the collected fonts for comping (not production).
Hi, I made a font in Illustrator, but I'm having a problem in Font Forge so apologies that it's not really an illustrator question. FF forums are very quiet. In FF, my font looks fine.he kerning is set up to allow 84(units) to the left and to the right of the digit. And the font looks fine in the preview, however the moment I start using it in other applications, I get this:So quite obviously, the 7's start half way from the last character. I have tested it with other characters and any character after a 7 starts from the middle of the 7. For some reason the 7's only start half way up from the previous character for 8's.Does anyone who uses font forge know what is causing this? The other thing I don't understand is why my font doesn't show up in MS Word? Also, the font works fine in Illustrator :S.
Hey guys!So I am relatively new to typography and I am having an issue I have been stuck on for quite a while so any help would be so much appreciated..I am making a logo with text, the a 'T' after an 'S' at the end of a sentence. The arms of the 'T' make a large space between the 'S' and the 'T'. When moved closer the arms of the 'T' touch the 'S' and it looks terrible.I have tried taking off the arms of the 'T" to make them smaller, this just made it look odd. I have tried making the 'T' skinnier using the transform tool, this also looked weird..I have tried looking online for different fonts with 'T's that would suit but I am finding it crazy difficult...I tried drawing a 'T' out manually on paper and scanning it on.. I couldn't get it right and it still looked funny, I am starting to think it will never work and what I want to do it completely unachievable.I will attach photos so my rambling makes a little sense.Any help would be so so much appreciated xx
HiWhere can I find out the current version of the Arno font family and the changes that have been made since its initial release? I am needing to add characters to the font for foreign-language books, and when I compile the font (using FontLab VI), I get lots of errors about kerning table sizes, duplicate entries, etc. If those issues have been corrected, I would like to purchase a current version.Thanks.
I'm having a similar problem to this thread, but I am not using Google Fonts. Rather, I downloaded the fonts from the Lato website (specifically version 2.015) and installed them onto my machine (Windows 10). Yet InDesign still says that I am missing many Lato fonts:But they're definitely on my computer:The only thing I can think of is that maybe I didn't install the OTF versions (they had .ttf file extensions). But I don't understand why that would make a difference. Indeed, the notes for Lato version 1.105 states that others have had this problem and therefore they included an OTF subfolder (which wasn't in version 2.015). I am also contacting the Lato devs, because I assume that much of these questions are things that only they can answer, but I wanted to see if anyone else has had this problem with InDesign before.I am using InDesign version 13.0.1 x64.
Just trying to get a sense of the state of the art with Microsoft Office products. Does the latest version of Microsoft Word (I have 16.9.1 for macOS) make it reasonably easy to use the small caps character set in my Minion Pro font?
I purchased a set of fonts from Adobe back in the Pre-CC days, and had a download link to the fonts. However, I recently discovered it no longer works. I contacted Adobe chat support and I was told that this was an issue I had to take to the forums. In the interests of being a good citizen, I am doing that. How do I regain access to a pre-CC font purchase. The purchase and S/N show in my account, but I cannot download the fonts.
Is there somebody as encounter an apostrophe kerning problem using Minion Pro. On my side that's a big problem. The apostrophe with eacute “é” and “e” is so tight that’s cause an huge problem. I know that's a known issue, and lots of post had already discussed about it. But, I did not found yet a solution. Is Adobe has plan to update Minion Pro?. Any help will be welcome. Thanks in advance. André

I've had the fonts for over 20 years. The regular and condensed came with an Adobe app. I bought the semi-condensed, if memory serves, bought them from Adobe. I have the current Creative Suite. They show and work fine in those up-to-date apps. But MS Publisher (which is current and which I must use for nonprofit clients) only shows 8 of the 28 and gives them the wrong names. Behaves erratically. My new work in Publisher is supposed to match old work in InDesign, and it can't, because the Myriad Pro fonts don't work. My questions are two-fold. Is there anything I can do to make the fonts work in Publisher -- or should I accept that they won't work? Secondly, given the age of the fonts, given my switch from Mac to Windows 10, and given my moving to a new location, I have no paperwork on buying the semi-condensed 10 fonts. Typekit can't help 'cuz I didn't buy them from Typekit. I have found nothing on the Adobe site about font registration. Is there anything to be done to download the lat
Currently using PSE 13. I want to purchase fonts that use OpenType features. I'm having a hard time figure out if elements supports opentye features, such as, swashes. Thank you!
I received notice that I am getting close to the maximum 100 fonts that I can sync and was advised to unsync fonts that I am no longer using.I have many documents on my drive and a few websites published that are using those fonts. Will they lose access to those fonts or are they safe? Please advise. Thanks
I am looking at some fonts that could use some customizing. Myriad Pro SemiBOLD, but i want to reduce the sharpness of the glyphs... forgive me if glyphs is wrong. Is there software that i can create a custom font, is there a way i can find a font already like this for purchase? Licensing of doing it myself? etc....Thanks, j
I've seen something called "Faces" that was previewed at Adobe MAX back in 2015 but I was wondering if there are any plans on something like Studio 5 maybe even integrated in Illustrator.
I opened up an AI file on Illustrator, and it says the fonts in the document are missing, and it will not let me sync the appropriate ones. Any suggestions? The fonts are HelveticaNeue-Thin & HelveticaNeue- UltralightAlso, when I search these fonts up on Illustrator, they show up but they do not appear as they are supposed to, and have a pink background behind them.
Hi community!I rarely ask, but often read threads so I realise we are not alone with the same kind of problems,. Please excuse my english/tech language if lacking. I have a new computer with windows 10 (better than 8), office 365 and adobe creative cloud finally last versions, photoshop and illustrator for the moment, as well as typekit (perhaps too early synced). So I got all the fonts bundled with these so far. .I would like to delete fonts ugly or unuseful for me right now and I am not sure about how to identify their parent or if they are needed for the systeme or other purpose. I know I can sort by some criteria in illustrator but I would like to get rid of more, specially all the "chinese" lettering or unreadable names. I rarely use office so that is not my problemI read one tutorial on microsoft just explaining how to delete from the fonts folder without any indication, there might be a problem. Have this issue been simplified for us users can I go ahead and delete as I see fit?
This isn't so much a type specific problem as just a general problem, but I'm not sure where to go on the forums to ask this. It seems like it would be a relatively simple problem to fix if I could just get in touch with a member of adobe staff, but I can't. I've called several times and none of my calls are making it through to any support. The purchase is still pending in my bank account, but it's impossible for me to verify and actually use the product, simply because I misspelled the email and their was no way to fix it. I also wasn't logged in to my main adobe account at the time that I tried to purchase it. I have to purchase this product before Thursday for a class, but I don't want to repurchase it while still being charged for the first failed attempt that I can't even verify let alone download. Is there anyway to get in touch with a member of adobe staff so that I can fix this problem?
anyone know this font?thanks!!!
Contractions, colloquial English, is there a way of adding an apostrophe to words like 'tis, 'twas,'em, rock 'n' roll, so they are a 'nine' not a 'six', other than typing it at the end of the word, then cutting and pasting? Can it be forced at keyboard stage somehow? I regularly get a lot of 'ems to do.
Hello allSome time ago I used this font. I believe it was in photoshop for iOS which has been discontinued.Does anyone know what the name of this font is?Thanks a bunch. John
Hi there!Windows 10, a ton of fonts.I need to know which ones of them contain the character »LATIN CAPITAL LETTER SHARP S«, looking like this: ẞ. Is there any way of searching them to prompt me with only the names of those containing that glyph? Other than checking one by one with InDesign, that is 😉Thanks –Klaus
