In the the 2015 release of CC, Japanese is the default browse mode in the typekit fonts. That applies for all apps of the 2015 CC release. You cannot change the default mode. What can I do to change the default mode?
I posted this problem here, but no one has been able to help, and I was encouraged to post in this forum.Long story short, my PS Type Preferences settings are set to the usual "East Asia", but when I type something like "Something here:" the ":" gets added to the front of the line, like so: ":Something here". When I type any character or number after the ":", everything moves back to where it should be (ie. "Something here:7"). A *space* after ":" doesn't fix it unless I also type a character/number after the *space*.So, I can't end a line with any punctuation without another character following it at some point. So far none of these work, plus any others I'm sure: : ( ) " ? , .This first started happening "randomly" in PS CS6 on my old laptop, and then just started happening on my brand new laptop in PS CC. The only thing I can think might be the problem is that I'm working in a copy of a template file I downloaded online. Maybe the user who created it had some weird, foreign type set
In 2008, I purchased some Adobe fonts (Garamond Pro Regular, Adobe Garamond Pro Bold, Helvetica Std Roman, Futura Std Book) for use in MS Word 2007 with Windows XP operating software (and had no issues).I have now recently purchased a new computer, and I am now using MS Word 2013 (Office 365, if that matters) and Windows 8. When i went to install the fonts, the '.pfm' extension is not specifically listed like the 'pfb' is listed (for example, with Garamond, it shows 'gdb__.pfb' and 'gdb__' [the '.pfb' file doesn't install, the error message saying the Type 1 font 'cannot be installed directly', but to please 'install the associated 'PFM' file' {which I have done}]).In Word, the character spacing (set to 'normal' in Word) is very condensed (my 177-page document [in Word 2007/XP) is shortened to 154 pages (Word 2013/Windows 😎 with the installed Adobe fonts.Am I needing to do anything differently?Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
I'm just about done with Fusion. Everytime I do an update I have to replace plug ins etc and it runs so slow.Is Type Kit similar? Can I use fonts I already have on my laptop as well as typekit fonts?
HiOn this page:http://www.henningdaverne.dk/6ugerskursus/I have tried to use "DIN condenced WEB" instead of "DIN condenced BOLD". I.e. to avoid having text turn into images. But I can only see the "DIN condenced WEB" font in preview. If I upload og load the index.html file local, the "DIN condenced WEB" font is gone and is replaced with ARIAL I think. Why is that?
I am now juggling between 2 versions of illustrator because of my font handling issues- as the earlier version automatically launches my fonts via Suitcase the later version does not launch the necessary fonts and up pops a Typekit dialogue which is of no use to me. I then manually have to go and open suitcase and manually launch the fonts.I have tried to disable TypeKit but no luck. Anyone out there resisting TK? Do you have a suggestion for me? I just want my work flow to be fluid again, and am willing now to go to the other side for sanity's sake. Thanks,Lisa
I am finding the the process very confusing.
Can anyone help?
Hi,One of our business partners is using a font "Antique Olive Black" in his file. He told me the font is from Adobe. I can only find "Antique Olive Std Black" in Adobe font store. I purchased it and install to our machine. However, when I open the file, "Font is Missing" warning still appears. After compare the fonts, it seems the 2 fonts is the same but different version. "Antique Olive Black" seems to be the old version fonts. As I have purchase the "Antique Olive Std Black" license, can I install and use the version fonts "Antique Olive Black" without license issue?Regards,Stanley
We are interested in using Chaparral Pro on the event tickets that we print out. The ticketing software can be used on (currently) 61 computers which connect to about 10 printers through one server. Assuming we need a license for each computer, what is the best method to get those licenses? Buying 13 of the $35 "5 computer" licenses seems odd; is there some sort of volume licensing program available?

HiI have 2 questions:1. If I buy Myriad Pro font from this page: Adobe - Fonts : Myriad Pro, can I use it internally in my company and also in print ads, banners... which you can refer to as commercial use?2. Can I also use it as web font for my company website? What are the differences between purchasing license via that page and subscription model in Typekit?ThanksRegards,
Computer System: PCAdobe Version - CCPrograms: Illustrator/PhotoshopFont Manager Main Type 6.0 Professional VersionI have approx. 9K fonts on my machine, all fonts are licensed albeit some are free, but they are still licensed. Some are licensed for personal use, some are licensed for Commercial Use.This morning I noticed my fonts, which were not adobes, even professionally licensed had a ** next to the name, then in the font size had a * instead of the numerical choices. After rebooting my machine now, none of the fonts, except adobe/typeface are showing up at all, zero, zip, zilch. Is there an explanation for this?
Hello,A company I am working for wants to use the some of the fonts we have from our Creative Cloud subscription (typekit) in our commercial videos that are in our product and potentially on our commercial website. Here are my questions:1) Is there a different license we need to get to use the fonts in our videos?2) Is there a different license we need to get to embed the fonts into our website?3) If we discontinue our subscription later on after using the fonts in our videos and exporting them as a video file (ie: .mov, etc...), are we still allowed to keep using those videos commercially in our product even though they contain elements of the fonts from the discontinued CC subscription?4) I don't know the restrictions of use of these fonts available in typekit. Does anyone know what they are? Thanks!

I have three Adobe OpenType fonts that I would like to convert to TrueType, so that Office 2013 can generate PDF files with the font embedded.Does the license of the font allow for this? How can I find out (the fonts were purchased in 2003 and I have only the receipt of one of them).
How do I use fonts I bought from Adobe back in the floppy days? Are they still usable and how?I bought the Stone family of fonts from Adobe back in the floppy days and would like to use them today. Do I get any credit for that early purchase? I'm subscribed to the Adobe Creative Cloud and using it regularly. The floppies were for the old macs and of course are useless today without incurring the expense of a reading and transfer which as far as I know, might not even be legal. So, what can I do?
Myriad Hebrew too.The missing Kerning information causes the characters to overlap. Are there alternate fonts for these languages that have Kerning information?
