Hi,I'm a student and have CC with Edu license.I am now submitting my entry for a contest to redesign a label and wanted to use an adobe font (Myriad Pro) as part of my label design. If my work wins, they will use the design for commercial purposes. Can I use the font in this case and with my license for free? Its a small local business so they don't understand anything about all of this, I just want to be sure I can say that's usable without any copyright issues.Thank you Letizia
Is there a method for transferring this font from the old system to the new?
Wow, I just realised that Adobe fonts don't include the following kerning pairs: Ws, Wz. Those pairs are very common in my language (polish). There are plenty of common words like in polish starting with 'Ws' or 'Wz': 'Wszystko (=everything), Wstać (=to get up), Wschód (=east), Wszędzie (=everywhere), Wsadzić (=to put into), Wzór (=pattern), Wznieść (=to put up), Wzrastać (=to grow up) and many more. This seems to be a massive oversight from Adobe. If some font support Central Europe glyphs, then it should also support kerning pairs that are typical for those languages.Even such great font like Minion Pro doesn't support 'Ws', 'Wz'.How could this be?
Windows asks me to install the associated PFM files. I dont have PFM files. What should I do? The files I have are dated from 1993.
I have several questions about the license on the Chinese font which is 'Songti SC' 1. Is the font 'Songti SC' for free to everyone? I've worked for a company that is a Seoul-based and they need a typeface for Chinese(not for logo). So I suggested them to use the font 'Songti SC,' since I found this font on Adobe Illustration program. In a meantime, I want to make sure the license on the font which is Songti SC. 2. If it is not for free, how much is it? How much does license cover up? And where I can find this font? For our client, they would need this logotype (Songti SC) on such as their business card, leaflet and body text that they use in the company.Thank you.
I have installed Bickham Script Pro Regular on my desktop running Windows 7. I am addressing wedding invitations. I have used this computer and printer for other weddings and never had this problem. With the Bickham Script Pro Regular I cannot get the font size/spacing correct. As I am typing this and with all other fonts I have used, the font size is very close to the cursor size. With the Bickham Script Pro Regular, the cursor is almost twice as large as what is actually typed resulting in a much bigger space between the lines. The spacing between the lines is being based on the size of the cursor and not the size of the actual font. it looks as if the lines are double spaced and I cannot get them closer. Can anyone please help me figure out what to do? I am not happy that I had to spend money on this font and now I am not be able to use it. I actually chatted last night before I purchased it and was told by the sales rep, if I had any issues with the font that I could contact techn
Can anybody confirm that Adobe fonts - specifically Minion Pro - are licensed for use in ebooks as well as print books? i.e. there is no need to buy the font twice - once with a license for print, and another with a license for ebooks.I have a client who is prepared to purchase the font with an ebook license, but on MyFonts the only option is 'desktop'. I know the permission for the font is 'Editable embedding', but we aren't sure exactly what this means. Many thanks in advance.
I would like to buy a font from the adobe webstore, but it always pop out an alarm "The account was registered for a different country. Please sign out and sign in using an existing account for this country." when I tried to checkout the font, so what can I do to buy a font from adobe webstore successfully if I come from Hong Kong, not U.S.? Thanks for reply
I need to get the italic version of the font hypatia, but it is only availble on the US site and I am in NZ so it won't allow me to download it. How can I get the italic version?
Considering that Adobe Font Folio provides and AFAIK always provided PostScript Type 1 fonts, in its Mac version, with outline files + a suitcase file per family that supposedly included the font metrics in its resource fork, and in its Windows versions, with PFB outline files + PFM metrics files, what were AFM file ever intended for? Why did Adobe also include those? What were their purported use case? As a matter of fact, wasn't every other foundry providing PostScript Type 1 fonts in the same way? In what case would one ever need those AFM files for, even back in the day?
Hello all. I want to explore having a custom font family designed, but I don't know where to start looking. Just wondering how much to expect paying and how to find a typographer or agency in the U.S.Thanks.
Why do I have to Sign Out in Creative Cloud then Sign back in everytime I open InDesign or any other CC program for that matter to view my previously loaded TypeKit fonts?
We are the biggest Portuguese Publisher and we have been making our books using FontFolio 11.We need to buy more FontFolio Licences but it bring us few problems so it would be good if we could buy more FontFolio 11 licences. We would like to ask if we can still buy FontFolio 11. How much does it cost?If not, can we buy FontFolio 11.1 and have them downgraded? How much is it?Best Regards
Hi Everyone, I have only recently graduated and I have managed to get some freelance work with a company where my brother works. I am just in the process of proposing some changes to there branding and they have asked for some alternative Typographic choices to the Helvetica they use in everything,I am thinking suggesting some geometric typefaces that arent to far away from Helvetica and thought of using the following - maybe Texta Alt Book with Chapparel, LeanOSans with Adriane or maybe playing it safer with Futura and Chapparel (which I know is widely regarded as complementary). I think the Texta option look good together but I am was terrible at typography at uni so would love to hear anyones opinion on this or maybe even an alternative to the Texta Typeset. I am not great at typography and this is my first major project as a freelancer so would welcome anyones advise or comments on these pairings. Thanks in advance for anyone who take the time to reply. M
I am having to recreate a logo for someone using this font. They said it was made 10-20 years ago but that could be exaggerated. I know I have seen this font before and feel like it should not be that hard, but I have been stuck so bad! I know when I find out that I will feel really dumb. Does anyone know what font this is?
Hi there. I subscribe to Adobe Typekit but see that the font Candara is not available. Is there a similar font I could use instead? Also, if I purchase that font, can I import that font into my library of fonts within my account, then create a Typekit and pull that font in?
Hi,I need to transfer the ownership of the type kits I opened, to another person (in the same adobe account). How can I do this?
After having updated to Acrobat DC I cannot sign into Typekit. Anyone else who has that problem?Working on Mac IOS 10.10.2. The other CC-applications work and I could login Adobe on my desktop.
I want to use the kozuka gothic pro for a website.https://typekit.com/fonts/kozuka-gothic-proHowever, the status of 'web availability' seems not to be ready. Is this because of my account type? Can I change the icon not to be opaque if I upgrade my account plan?Or else, whatever your account status is, is it impossible to use such fonts on Typekit?Plus, I'm just curious why there are fonts on Typekit are only available for Sync or Web.I'd appreciate any feedback.
I purchased an Adobe font Family "Optima." It is my understanding that the standard ratio that font fall under is 72pts = 1 inch. But when I lay out my signage, that isn't true.... I get 103.66pt = 1 inch (optima). Am I missing something here? Can someone explain this to me??? Please....
Thank you for your service. I was most disappointed to find, however, that the letters I really wanted (Adobe Garamond Alternate Caps) is not in this collection and indeed, one now has to use another fancy designing program to construct those letters. I can’t afford to buy Photoshop just to construct two special capital letters. I’ve used the B and M in my logo for Balquhidder Music for years - but from jpgs - and I was hoping to have more flexibility in the future. I spent $169 to make sure I am in compliance. But I didn’t get anything of use to me.I can’t understand why those Alternate Caps are not part of this - or any other package. I thought Adobe was capable of amazing things. I assume I am whistling in the dark. So have a nice day.
I recently changed my account to educational pricing. This involves cancelling and starting a new account, however my AdobeID stays the same. !CreativeCloud Typekit just removed all my fonts. Is there a way to get them re-installed?
I'm thinking of buying a font that I found initially on typekit. Will buying that font allow me to use that font for commercial work, and will I have access to it if I ever cancel my Adobe subscription? Thanks.
I have a Photography CC subscription and have downloaded some of the free fonts and used them initially but noticed now that they are gone--what do I have to do to get them back and why did they go away?
Just once when I contact Adobe to get the idiotic Creative Cloud app to load something simple like a font properly, I would love to not have chat with some fool at Adobe who tells me to reinstall the whole creative cloud!Come on Adobe, can you hire some people who aren't just reading a script and can actually think out of the box?Friggin ridiculous that I have to spend an hour or more of my time just so I can load something simple like one damn font from type kit.
