Hi There~ I am relatively new to creating forms in livecycle.... I am wondering if there is a way to let 'form-fillers' know that their form has been succesfully submitted, after clicking the "submit by email". I did a test of my form (application) and submitted it by email (to myself) and nothing changed on the screen- although it did go through just fine. I am afraid that people will hit submit multiple times, without knowing if it is going anywhere. Thanks so much for your help!
I really want to change my screen name without starting a new account. How do I do it?
I recently bought the creative suite 5.5 design standard - student and teacher edition. I downloaded it from a disc on my laptop and my imac as i'm sure it said I can use it on two computers on this website. They both seemed to work fine at first but when I try to start an adobe program on my imac a pop up says ACTIVATION REQUIRED. When I try the options it gives me - Retry activation - it says im not connected to the internet even though I am. I can't get hold of customer support and the final option says I have 21 days to complete activation before the product becomes disabled. Does this mean it will stop working on both my computers ??One of the problems may be that I have it on to many computers but i'm sure it said I can use it on two computers. Can anyone confirm this for me ? What should I do ??
How to attach files to the thread we post in this forum?I’m wondering why there is no feature that allows attaching files from our hard drives! It is not practical to upload our file first in a certain web to provide it as a link in the post.Is there a way to attach our files directly from our hard drive to the post? Please, have a look on the screenshot below that shows a forum which includes all the very basic features!Thank you for the helpBestJamal

I have probably posted these suggestions more than once, but at least some of them have passed completely unnoticed, so I am trying again.1. I would welcome an informative and useful Pages box such as this:2. It would be nice if the default font was changed from the present difficult to read Arial to one of the fonts that have been specially designed for reading on screen, such as the Verdana I am using here.3. I would also thank the correction of minor glitches as the ones I reported here:http://forums.adobe.com/message/4098713#40987134. I think it would be nice to see the number of hits at the top of the list of results after using the Ask a question box.5. A Preview message function would probably decrease the number of posted typos. A short delay between pressing the Post Message button and the actual posting of a message would also help. And I am sure that there are more, but my memory is not as good as it used to be, and I have run out of time...
It seems that every page in every forum and every thread now has a separate box at the top saying Ask a question...Now what is that about, and where will the question appear, if anywhere?I dare not try it.
Windows 8 Consumer Preview is available, and within it we find a new build of Internet Explorer 10.Alas, while it offers some new and interesting features, it is not without its problems as regards presenting this forum.1. I don't seem to be able to put double quotes around anything without them becoming escaped. The following bolded phrase "has double quotes around it" as typed by the single shifted character to the right of my little finger when on the the home keys.2. I don't seem to be able to upload an image via IE10. I'll try showing what happens in a response to this post using IE10, but if I have to I'll post it with IE9. I'm not sure yet whether it consistently or only intermittently fails.Adobe / Jive folks, it seems to me that it would be a good idea to get at least a virtual machine running IE10 CP and try to understand why these things are happening. The world is feverishly downloading Windows 8 CP.-Noel
In the Forum in Spanish, this userhttp://forums.adobe.com/people/Nacho%20Cuevassays that his hard disk broke down and he lost his only record of his login data to these forums. He says that he tried to recover his password (he doesn't say how; most probably from the forum itself) and was informed that his account came from the old Macromedia forums and is no longer valid. So he has now becomehttp://forums.adobe.com/people/Nacho%20%232Is there any way of helping him to recover his old identity?
Is there a resource available that describes how to use the eLearning Suite? I am trying this Suite out but am not even sure where to start. How do I know what program to start with and then move onto? Whats the progression of the differnet programs as you build a training moduel?

Hi there, first time I've taken the "forum" route to find an answer but would be very grateful if anyone can help me.I have just purchased and installed an upgrade from Creative Suite design Premium form CS4 to CS5.5 and have two issues.Theres lotes fo new stuff and to get up to speed quickly, I have tried to access the inbuilt help files (e.g., in InDesign: "Help>Indesign Help". Unfortunately, nothing happens except a "TextEdit" error box appears saying:"Adobe Air This installation of this application is damaged. Try re-installing or contacting the publisher for assistance."I located Adobe Air on my system, un-installed it using the uninstaller and then down loaded it again from Adobe's website and reinstalled. The error message persists - any help? Also, as more of an annoyance then a real problem. I had a window "pop up" that offered a free benefit for registering my product with a link to update mt Adobe profile and a link to show what benefits were available (a choice between a
Hi.First of all I want to apologise for creating new thread while older one exists (created by other person).Older thread is marked as answered, so it looks like nobody is visiting it.Here is the link to that thread: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4052703#4052703My problem is that I can not access any Adobe forum.I live in Ukraine (east Europe), tried three different ISP providers and still get 403 Forbidden error when accessing adobe forums. This lasts for a couple of month now.Trashing cookies does not help.At the moment, I am writing this post using foreign proxy server. Is there any way to fix this issue?I really can not understand the reason for blocking whole countries to prevent spammers activity (as mentioned in older thread), instead of just blocking those spammers.
I wasn't really sure where to post this so; I decided the general section would be nice. Here's the thing: I know how to use Photshop, Illustrator, Flash, and Indesign (and other adobe programs) HOWEVER what I don't know or am never really sure on is Print. I always see a job every now and then that requires you to be print ready or have print experience. All I know about printing is bleed (usually for business cards) and that CMYK is for printing. So my question is: What can I do to be professional in printing? Mostly everything I do is for the web.
I have a pc and just bought a mac. All I need to do is swap my seed from a pc to mac so I can use Photoshop on my new computer. . . However, I called tonight and waited on hold for over an hour and a half and no one ever answered. I wish there was a way to send an e-mail so that I won't have to spend so much time waiting on the phone to not get anything resolved. Very disappointing to say the least.
Locking a thread due to insults supports the negative behavior on the part of the abusers. Now they know all they have to do to close a thread that's bugging 'em is hurl insults.Likewise, you are punishing those who have reported the insults - don't report insults on threads or they might be closed.I suggest banning the abusers from the forum instead. The flamers know how to find their targets regardless of which thread has the most recent rash of insults. The problem has nothing to do with the thread and everything to do with disrespectful people.
When I installed my CS5 suite I chose to not install Photoshop 32 bit can I later?
I can't seem to get the layers in my templates editable (not the content in the layers). I'm using CS5.5 but my manual is from MX and the manual says its possible but doesn't tell me how. In the pages based on the template i need to move the layers around while keeping the background and title in place. HELP! Please.
This website is pretty good! How can I make one like this !?
I have seen a few posts from the Community Help group/portal, that were placed in a few of the product forums. All that I am seeing are the link to an Adobe KB Article, that I assume points someone to a starting point, in answering their question, and in one, a reply, but not sure that that reply indicated that the linked article helped, or not. What I am not seeing is any reference to the original question.Pierre kindly responded that these posts are being generated, and populated to the appropriate product forum, and I think that is a great idea - sort of what most of us do here, when one has posted of a product problem, or question. This THREAD in the PrPro Forum, is an example, along with Pierre's comment to me.I do not know if perhaps I am just not seeing the original post/question (on Chrome on PC), or if something is missing, and the original question is not propogating in the Community Help post?In the Thread, you can see my initial Reply, and then Pierre's, and then my Reply to
I purchased CS5 in April 2011. I received an email saying I could get a free upgrade to CS5.5 when it was released. I got busy and forgot about it. I just tried to redeem the offer and was denied. They claimed the "offer had expired". I looked over the email, and website, no expiration dates are posted. I talked with a chat support person who told me that same thing. I was transfered to his supervisor and was told the same thing, yet again. When I asked to see a written expiration date, the only answer I got was told "I am sorry, even the redemption period is internal information which cannot be disclosed". Internal information? Really? This is very simple Adobe. You offered a free upgrade. You didn't mention an expiration date on your offer. Keep your word and keep a customer happy.Adobe, what's your answer?p.s. when "adobe_customer_service_sucks" is an auto-pupulated tag below, you should really rethink your strategy.
Just want to point out that inline links in text are difficult to see. To work around it, I usually post links like this:To go to Adobe's site, click this: http://www.adobe.com...instead of...Click here to go to Adobe's site. But not everyone thinks of doing this. I just missed a link in someone's post because dark blue text is not that obvious amongst black text, especially if there are few letters. Please fix the forum software so that links in the text are underlined.Note also that while editing the links DO have underlines. Since my first visit to these forums, it has been very clearly stated that this is a User to User area, and that these forums are not a way of addressing Adobe. However, lately I have noriced that the expression "User to User" no longer appears in the main page of almost any forum (it does in the Spanish forum, but it also says forums when there is only one). Also, a number of new participants have appeared who display the label Adobe Employee under their names.Has the situation changed? I ask because, if there are regular participants speaking officially for Adobe, I don't want to appear as a fool by misleadingly addressing "lost" users to other pages when they are really at the right one.
I have noticed that in these forums any links to product advertisement is considered to be a spam but some products promotion are allowed. Is there any guidance anywhere for people to read them to avoid any problems? For example this particular link is clearly a promotion but nobody has removed it:<http://forums.adobe.com/message/4215795#4215795>Perhaps there is one rule for mere mortals like us and special rules for privileged few!! How can I join this band of privilege few? I am a very nice chap if you guys treat me nice
