This website is pretty good! How can I make one like this !?
I have seen a few posts from the Community Help group/portal, that were placed in a few of the product forums. All that I am seeing are the link to an Adobe KB Article, that I assume points someone to a starting point, in answering their question, and in one, a reply, but not sure that that reply indicated that the linked article helped, or not. What I am not seeing is any reference to the original question.Pierre kindly responded that these posts are being generated, and populated to the appropriate product forum, and I think that is a great idea - sort of what most of us do here, when one has posted of a product problem, or question. This THREAD in the PrPro Forum, is an example, along with Pierre's comment to me.I do not know if perhaps I am just not seeing the original post/question (on Chrome on PC), or if something is missing, and the original question is not propogating in the Community Help post?In the Thread, you can see my initial Reply, and then Pierre's, and then my Reply to
I purchased CS5 in April 2011. I received an email saying I could get a free upgrade to CS5.5 when it was released. I got busy and forgot about it. I just tried to redeem the offer and was denied. They claimed the "offer had expired". I looked over the email, and website, no expiration dates are posted. I talked with a chat support person who told me that same thing. I was transfered to his supervisor and was told the same thing, yet again. When I asked to see a written expiration date, the only answer I got was told "I am sorry, even the redemption period is internal information which cannot be disclosed". Internal information? Really? This is very simple Adobe. You offered a free upgrade. You didn't mention an expiration date on your offer. Keep your word and keep a customer happy.Adobe, what's your answer?p.s. when "adobe_customer_service_sucks" is an auto-pupulated tag below, you should really rethink your strategy.
Just want to point out that inline links in text are difficult to see. To work around it, I usually post links like this:To go to Adobe's site, click this: http://www.adobe.com...instead of...Click here to go to Adobe's site. But not everyone thinks of doing this. I just missed a link in someone's post because dark blue text is not that obvious amongst black text, especially if there are few letters. Please fix the forum software so that links in the text are underlined.Note also that while editing the links DO have underlines. Since my first visit to these forums, it has been very clearly stated that this is a User to User area, and that these forums are not a way of addressing Adobe. However, lately I have noriced that the expression "User to User" no longer appears in the main page of almost any forum (it does in the Spanish forum, but it also says forums when there is only one). Also, a number of new participants have appeared who display the label Adobe Employee under their names.Has the situation changed? I ask because, if there are regular participants speaking officially for Adobe, I don't want to appear as a fool by misleadingly addressing "lost" users to other pages when they are really at the right one.
I have noticed that in these forums any links to product advertisement is considered to be a spam but some products promotion are allowed. Is there any guidance anywhere for people to read them to avoid any problems? For example this particular link is clearly a promotion but nobody has removed it:<http://forums.adobe.com/message/4215795#4215795>Perhaps there is one rule for mere mortals like us and special rules for privileged few!! How can I join this band of privilege few? I am a very nice chap if you guys treat me nice
hi, i am facing problem as to how to pass arguments received by my swf file to an .exe that i have created from a C++ project...do i need to tweak the code in the C++ project in some way that it accepts the input from the .swf file?
In the Illustrator forum we are getting some silly threads that no one know what to do about. It seems to be posted by Community Help with an article that the first post seems to be a question about, but it is all completely unintelligible to us, the natives, and the supposed first poster seems to have no clue of being transferred. So far, we have two threads:http://forums.adobe.com/message/4205555?tstart=0#4205555http://forums.adobe.com/thread/962694?tstart=0Please spare us, we have enough to do with providing real community help. For some (or no) reason I was unable to post a reply in the other thread,http://forums.adobe.com/thread/955582?tstart=0

I have just experienced a rather strange outage in the Illustrator forum: I made a reply and submitted it, but nothing happened for a long time. Eventually, the reply was replaced by a small box with the message Bad gate. At the same time, the Illustrator forum (open in another Tab) was replaced by the Site temporarily unavailable message. After maybe a quarter of an hour (trying now and again), the forum reappeared, but I was logged out. I had to login and close the tab with the Bad gate. When I entered the thread in question from the forum to rereply, I was able to use a recovered version.Stay away from bad gates, if you can spot them.
When clicking on the Learning link at the top of Adobe.com I am now redirected to the forums, rather than seeing Adobe Labs, etc page. Is this permanent or some snafu?

How do you print a pdf with A4 portrait & A3 landscape pages?
When I convert a word document to PDF my pages go from portrait to landscape. I've tried various methods of conversion and get this every time. I've tried other documents and this doesn't happen. I've looked at the formatting characters and can't see anything that could cause this. any ideas?
Hi, both places seem to be down, shouldn't there be a mention in the respective forums? Some posts in Marketplace seem to indicate that it this situation is not new...
The Feature Request / Bug report form at https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=wishform does not actually provide a form for several of the products (including the two products I use (Premiere & Photoshop Elements). But I can't find anywhere to report this problem - both the technical and customer support links direct to a 'choose type of problem' screen none of which would seem to cover the fault with that form.Any suggestions ?Example of the problem:Adobe Premiere Elements - Nothing:Adobe Encore - The proper form:Cheers,-- NealeInsanity is hereditary, you get it from your children
I tried to search for "Blending mode", then "Option Bar" in the main support page, with Community help targeted, and I don't get any hot from the help files. http://community.adobe.com/help/search.html?q=option+bar&lbl=photoshop_product_adobelr&hl=en_US&self=0&area=0Must we now search from the help pages directly?Edit: I see that the results from "Community Help" is checked, but, one MUST select also " Only Adobe Content" AND "Adobe Refernence Only" to have the ACH results on top... creating this search string: http://community.adobe.com/help/search.html?hl=en_US&q=option+bar&l=photoshop_product_adobelr&area=0&self=1&meta=site%3Dphotoshop_cs5_all I do not remember having to click on three options to get ACH content...
1) It now seems possible to mark at least 1 Correct Answer and 4 Helpful answers in one thread.2) Unfortunately, Your Stuff no longer shows your own threads, but merely a collection of posts.I would have added 1) to a thread I started when I saw 3 Helpful Answers in a thread (without any Correct Answer), but was unable to find it easily because of 2).
Just went to post a Reply in the PrElements forum, and got this "info message:"I have never seen one of those before.Hunt
I created a one page order form, copied the link on my web page, when I click on the link it connects to Adobe however the page is blank.
The forum is very confusing for new users, and throws a JavaScript exception if you aren't logged into adobe.com AND the forum content well below the header.I've been trying to post something for a while now, but had to investigate the poor design of the site to gain access to the forum. One must first login to adobe.com, then locate the obscure link under the header to login to the forum section specifically.Once logged in the menu works and JavaScript error goes away. Why not just use the global auth token, or if you're going to use third party software for the forums, extend their code to work with the global auth token?
How do I delete or edit a post that has already been responded to?
This question came up in the PS Forum, IIRC, and I was not sure.I have seen threads edited (after replies, etc.), branched, deleted, locked, moved, but cannot recall seeing two, or more threads combined. Not sure what the format would be, as I can well imagine that in either Threaded, or Flattened View, it would be very confusing. All that I have ever seen is a link to another trhead(s) posted into another.Just wondering,Hunt
I am perfectly aware that the forums have not been functioning at their best these last days. And I sincerely hope that coming in and finding that one is not logged has been a temporary glitch associated with the ... shall we call them unstabilities? Nearly a full year logging in after half an hour of inactivity and after any closing of my browser was more than enough for me.
Friday, Jan. 20, 2012 - MST (-8 GMT?), the forum sign in page went dead, at about 1:00PM. OK, stuff happens, and the whole Adobe Forum went down the previous Friday - the 13th!!! The screen that I got, for many hours (gave up at ~ 10:00PM MST, but all is good today, Saturday, Jan. 21.What was funny, was that I was seeing new posts from other parts of the globe, when I would go to a product forum page. Some were from the UK, at least one was from Europe, and two were from the US, but in a different TMZ - Central. It seems that the US Pacific, and Mountain TMZ users were out of luck. Perhaps a particular node going down?I kept looking on the Forum Comments main page, to see if some maintenance notification would be posted, but then maybe Adobe was locked out too, being in the Pacific Standard TMZ?Anyone else have this issue? Thanks,HuntPS - I also tried several browsers, and several IP accounts, just in case, but got the same error screen, so did not seem to be computer, browser, or IP sp
