I am not able to login to Adobe forums nor read any of the forum poststoday here in cold Sunday night in London, England. The time is 21:33 GMTThe only way to post anything is by email and that too is not reliablebecause the messages are trimmed if there is some html/css code withlinks to outside websites.Hope the engineers can rectify this quickly.

Not sure why, but when I make a new site in DWcs4, and create my folder for my files I want to connect DW with, I have it on my desktop. Once my new site is created and I press done, in the files menu on the right, the files structure in Local View shows my Site at the very top, then inside the site is my folder I created on the desktop as I instructed, but all the other files/folders on my desktop are also inside the Site I just created. Why is this? I only want my new website I just created inside my new site, not all the other desktop stuff. What is wrong???

In late October, after the forum software change, I started having an occasional (I think!) problem pasting links.My typical practice would be to cut-and-paste a FAQ link from the InDesign General Overview page, and sometimes the link would end up with pieces missing in my post. It seems that, starting today (or quite recently), when you try to save a thread as a web page, for an archive or similar, the page is no longer saved by the title of the thread, but by the number.This means that the meaningful reference, which makes it possible to know and use the saved thread, is replaced by a meaningless number.Please undo the undoing of meaningful references, John.

I've just been experimenting with the Windows speech recognition in Windows 7.  I'm able to dictate information into posts here without too much trouble.It's pretty slick to be able to sit back and just talk to the computer and have it show up as text in the editor here.It's a bit different to have to think before one talks instead of just typing and go back and correcting text later.This works surprisingly well, better than I expected.-Noel

I had an account and some place checked a box and started to receive a lot of mail.I didn't know were to uncheck the box so I change my e-mail and password in my account ( of course that didn't stop the emails going to the original e-mail address (different than useless366181).Now I can't get into that account and am still receiving a lot of e-mails.How can I just close the accounts associated with this e-mail,useless366181@aol.com.

Hello:I am trying to get online proofreading jobs and was told by many sources that I would need to have ADE on my computer, which I have done.  I am new to this program so please don't laugh too loudly, but where are the proofreading tools that I will need to electronically proofread my client's documents? HiWe have recently started using Document Management Software for our paperless office. It appears that you can scan documents using normal PDF or PDF/A-1b formats. PDF/A-1b format is an archival quality version and allows you to store documents for longer periods.However, it appears that PDF/A-1b has a bigger file size than the regular PDF.We wanted to find out whether users have positive/negative experience in this regard based on their know-how of going Paperless:What advantages/disadvantages have you found using the PDF/A format?    What type of Text or Graphics can be embedded?    What about hyperlinks and other attachments on the file?    Is it advisable to convert old files to archival version and more recent ones in normal version? Should the document be OCR'd prior to conversion of PDF/A or perform it afterwards?Your feedback will be very much appreciated.Many thanks in advance.

Hi all,Please am a newbie when it comes to php and forms, I have created a site with a registration and login forms and I have equally created mysql database and table for the form inside mysql server but I need the database to take the data from the registration form and store it, and at the same time when the user login it will bring the their data to them. But I don't know how to connect it with form on my site and have it on my rootfolder/local server.  I will really appreciate if anyone can help out.

I am new to Premiere. To my current video I import only high-res still portrait (i.e., not landscape) images.I'd like that the video will be narrow (that black/white strips) will be at the sides?So, which settings should I used for the sequence?

I have observed an odd behavior, when navigating multi-page forums.As an example, I use the Premiere Elements Tips & Tricks sub-forum often, to link to helpful articles. It is, like most, a multi-page forum.As the order of the articles will change, as new replies are added, I often need to navigate to multiple pages, to find the one that I need. My bookmark opens that forum onto Page 1, which is normal. I then scroll that page, looking for what I want. If it is not there, I will use either the Next, or the Page 2 buttons to move on. As I have scrolled to the bottom of Page 1, the Next (or Page 2) page will open at the bottom, rather than at the top, the first time that I do this. Pages 3, and above, will always open at the top. Also, if I go back to Page 2, it now opens at the top. I only see this, when going from Page 1, to Page 2, and then, only the first time. Odd, but no deal breaker, as I just manually scroll back to the top of Page 2, and then scroll down, looking for a parti

I apologize if this is a wrong forum to ask this. What do I do to run Flash apps on platforms that do not support Flash like iPad or Linux? I am wondering what is Adobe's official position on this? I have been using the Preview 3 (I believe) for a couple of weeks. Since I teach web and interactive design, I have had students download it in class and play with it. It is so similar in the interface to Flash that it was simple for them to pick up-- and the program does not have many features so it was a no-brainer. Students seem to sort of get it. Instead of just talking about HTML5 it is nice for them to have a tool that they can manipulate and see the difference.A couple of common problems. When saving out the final files from animation created within Edge from scratch, I had one file (out of 20) that Edge added some slashes to the font names so the font-based animation wouldn't run. It was easy enough to go to the code side of the resulting HTML page and delete the extra slashes and recover the font names so it them ran ok. Of course I had to do it--- and the student had already walked out of the class ticked off that his time invested seemed to be lost. Ah the impatience of yout

Something odd going on this morning (I started 8:15 AM West Coast USA)I clicked on the feedback forum and got a really wierd looking page instead of the usual page, and when I clicked the login link a Jive message came up to try again laterWaited a few minutes and came to this forum, and then the login page... and login took 3-4 minutes to processNow, 3 times so far, an "internal server error" message has flashed across the screen... message seems to be HERE and not in IEIs there, in fact, a Jive server problem?

I have Reader X , Windows 7, IE8 with Adobe PDF Link Helper add-in enabled and virus free with plenty of free hard drive space.  When I print a PDF text document, whether 1 page or 5 pages, the progress bar takes a very long time to load.  After loading the pages print fine.  Its waiting for the progress bar to prepare the document that causes my frustration.  Is this normal?  If not, if there anything I can do to speed things up?  Thanks in advance for your help.Research

have been reading and making comments on items in the Adobe Forums.Despite my being signed in. After a I made a Reply in  one forum topics and dismissed the window (I go to topics from the e-mail Notifications so I can read and just comment on what I want to), I received this strange Pop up Box  requesting  Username and Password and mentions something about Jive software. Has any one else experienced such?  I dismissed it without filling in, and was able to go into nex topic but was slow doing so.

I've not used the forums much recently so when I logged in a couple of days ago I didn't worry about the prompt to assign a 'screen name' to my ID. I just thought it was a feature of the upgraded forum.But then I noticed that my avatar and points were both missing. After a bit of trial and error (much logging out and logging in !) I realised that I have two different screen names assigned to my one ID. My original (nealeh) and the new (Neale_in_the_UK). Both are linked to the same email address.Hopefully the following two screen dumps highlight my problem.
