Virturally every time I quote someone I get gibberish at the top of the quote.  I'll demonstrate by responding to myself...I use Internet Explorer to access the forum.  As far as I know, there are no problems with it, though I'm pretty stingy about letting any sites run active content.  I'm not getting messages that an Add-on failed to run here, though.-Noel

Hi, I'm running a duel boot on my laptop (compaq 1.9ghz, 3g ram) I've tried everything I can find to get cs5 to work on Vista 32bit but the install process seems futile, I get past the serial number section then it doesn't load anything in (0%) then asks for the 2nd disk, then it comes up with error messages>>>>>>>>>>Exit Code: 7-------------------------------------- Summary -------------------------------------- - 0 fatal error(s), 159 error(s), 146 warning(s)WARNING: The payload: Adobe Photoshop CS5 Core  {7DFEBBA4-81E1-425B-BBAA-06E9E5BBD97E} requires a UI parent with following specification: Family: Photoshop ProductName: Adobe Photoshop CS5 Core_x64 This parent relationship is not satisfied, because this payload is not present in this session.WARNING: The payload with AdobeCode:  {CFC9F871-7C40-40B6-BE4A-B98A5B309716} has recommended dependency on:WARNING:  Family: Adobe Web Suite CS5WARNING:  ProductName: Adobe Media Encoder CS5 X

I created a new thread, then went back to edit it to add an image.  Instead of success I got this highly descriptive error message:Clearly I have the ability to upload images, but apparently just not when editing the first post in a new thread.  I have been able to add pictures to response posts while editing them. A known problem?P.S., this was the image I tried to upload to that other thread, so clearly there's nothing wrong with the image:-Noel

I didn't notice until I tried to go find one of my old threads. O patient adobe_admin, can you fix my account again? I've tried all of the logging-out and cookie-removal techniques a number of times. Also, maybe it's time for an account-fixing megathread? I see plenty of threads like mine and it would make some sense to me if we could keep 'em all in once place.

Why is the german forum ( http://forums.adobe.com/community/international_forums/deutsche ) blocked?

On March 16  the forum software trashed my Photoshop Windows forum  profile.  Attempts to restablish my profile & history were unsuccessful following the process spelled out in the FAQ.In my case the account name stayed the same "Paulo Skylar" , no suffixes were added, but I have no history, no avatar, no photo,.....ADMINS :  I need someone to restablish my account on the above mentioned forum. Thanks,Paulo

Hey folks. I've been out since Wednesday. There were a couple of people trying to keep things going in forums, but with a number of system outages they were not able to keep up with some of the requests back her.I am going through the backlog right now and should have all "ghost" account issues fixed soon. Thanks for your patience.

Hello,Re: Problem with forum user name , my original id is now "nealeh-Y42Jq8" while my current "nealeh" is appearing as a brand new user. Please would you rename "nealeh-Y42Jq8" back to "nealeh".Thank you,Cheers,-- NealeInsanity is hereditary, you get it from your children

http://forums.adobe.com/thread/820495?tstart=0 discusses recent forum problemsI think I MAY have a clue to at least the problem of false logouts I have noticed that if I click to go to a new forum, or a message in a forum, and the new page appears in <10 seconds (approximately) all is goodIf it takes >20 seconds... the new forum or new page will simply not appear, or it will show and I am logged outThere seems to be some sort of timing issue here that may be worth a check by the system administrator(s)

When I logged in these forums earlier today, I experienced what I think may be a curious variant of the split personality syndrome. In Firefox 3.6.15 under Mac OS 10.6.6 I used my bookmark to this particular forum. When I came in, the "Welcome Claudio González" next to my new avatar was there as usual below the Forums title. But in the list of threads, there was a recent one initiated by me, in which my avatar was fine, but my name had some garbage added at the end. I therefore opened the thread, and there I appeared with my new avatar, the correct number of my posts and and my correct registration date, but with the same wrong name. I then opened my profile and, to my surprise, there was no photo, no history, no avatar, no recent activity, nothing. Everything was blank.Suspecting a possible Firefox problem, I closed Firefox without attempting to correct the problem, and moved to my Win 7 machine. On using my bookmark to this forum, I found that everything was completely normal, both i

Why Does Adobe have such terrible customer service? I am so suprised and disappointed to learn this. I have submit several requests for someone to call me back , via their customer service page. Nobody ever calls me back. I try calling them EVERY SINGLE DAY- Nobody answers the phone... not even after 30 minutes of waiting ! I purchased the teacher version of the CS5 package and submit my identification as requested. They keep sending me emails to inform they will cancel my order if they dont receive the ID. But i have already submit it ! So i am trying to get through to someone so i can give them the case number and ask them to verify that i have submit the ID ! Surely , this is not the job of the customer. Surely , for software as expensive as Adobe' packages , they should have a decent customer service support line where you are guaranteed to get through to a person who can help???? Apparently not , apparently this is too much to ask Why is Adobe customer service  so terrible? A

Several months ago I upgraded my Windows 98 Ed2 operating system to XP (Now have V3).  The Adobe Reader version 4.0 was brought over from the old system to the new and I cannot now uninstall this old version.  The problem is that a new version will not replace the older one as well.  When I attempt to uninstall the old version it tells me that all of the elements could not be removed and that they need to be done in another manner (I presume by manually removing them off the hard drive).  This same thing happend with the Norton Anti-virus program I did not uninstall prior to the operating system conversion.  In that instance I contacted Norton support and they went into the computer from there location using an exe. driver and successfully removed it without any problem.  I contacted Adobe support in a similar manner (chatroom) and the only thing that "Malahov" could offer was to consult the forum "since the reader download was free."  Here I am, can

I just noticed this morning that my acct said I've had 2 posts (now it will probably say a couple more).   I've  had more than that and under Your Stuff it only  shows today's posts.   I've gone to History>Show Entire History and  it has only today's posts. Also, I noticed I now have some numbers and letters after my screen name.I posted a question about this in this DW forum and was told to post this here and someone would fix it.Thank you.

G'dayCan someone pls look into why:a) my account name seems to have changed to "Adam Cameron.-SXdoEh" (the "-SXdoEh" is not my doing... it just appeared a coupla days ago);b) when I login in using the same credentials I have always used, I login to the account I am currently posting from, just "Adam Cameron."As I mentioned, the change to (a) occurred a few days ago... I noticed the day before yesterday (UK time) I think.  I can't remember.  I didn't investigate, I just assumed it was the forums software being sub-par (which is the usual reason for weirdness around here).I did not notice I was suddenly posting from a different account until this morning. If I logout/login (well: there's no logout function I can see on the screen, but if I use a different browser from usual...), I go into the (b) account. Can we pls kill the account I am currently posting from, and can someone tell me what the login ID for the other one has become (I know the password...).Cheers.--Adam

sir please guide me  how to install abode flash player  in my pc

My old Windows XP PC crashed (please don't laugh).  My version of Illustrator did not work on Windows 7 so I had to upgrade it. Now I'm trying to install my fonts.  I have the Bickham Script MM.  I've searched this board and the internet to get the install instructions.  My old pc was backed up, and I have the .mmm .pfb and .pfm files.  When I right click on the .pfm file and choose install, I get an error message: "the file <file name> does not appear to be a valid font".  I close this dialog box then a box pops up that says it's installing the font with a progress bar.  Looks like it's doing something, but when I go to the fonts folder, it's not there.  I am trying to do wedding invitations and I urgently need this font, as the bride has approved them from designs on my old PC.  Any ideas?

John, Jochem, whoever can do it,I have tried to logout/login as usual, following these instructions, thrice now, to no avail,http://forums.adobe.com/thread/613050?tstart=0so please save me.Edit: I wonder who is the doppelganger now. The name here looks right, right now.I have tried some more times, even closing down the FF session after each step.Obviously, what I need is to get rid of the doppelganger and have my posting history reconnected to my right name.Until then, I am unable to post, apart from this hopefully imminently doomed thread.

Hello,I just spent 2 hours with Adobe Customer Support on the phone.  They finally directed me here with the promise that Forum Engineering would correct the problem within 24 hours.Case # 205474470Up to yesterday I was happily logging-in to these forums using my Adobe ID (eMail address and password). Some time last night my forum account was apparently separated into two parts, "Noel Carboni" and "Noel Carboni-9gVdWg".Today, when I log in using the exact same credentials, the forum software reports I have created a "new" account today.  With this "new" account I am posting this message.  My profile customizations and all history are disconnected from this "new" account. All my prior history can be seen here:http://forums.adobe.com/people/Noel%20Carboni-9gVdWgI want to continue using the account I have been contributing with for 4 years.  Please correct this problem.Customer support assured me that someone from Forum Engineering would read this post, reconcile my "two

Received an email from an Adobe Partner. See message below:I am not sure who to contact to get help with this issue, but we are unable to reply to or post new content to the Adobe Forums. (http://forums.adobe.com). We can enter the text for the topic, but the field to enter the body of the content is read only. We can't click in it or type in it.  This is when creating a new discussion, or responding to an existing thread.  When creating a private message, We can type in the title and content, but when we submit, it deletes all the content and says that the body can't be empty. In each of these cases, we have tried it on multiple machines, with multiple accounts.  Both Windows/Mac, XP/Windows 7, Internet Explorer/Firefox/Chrome.  Same results in every case.  We have also ensured that browser add-ons like AdBlock are not installed. We would appreciate some direction on how to resolve this issue. Thanks,Please advise what's causing this.
