I notice that when I post, at the top near the title there is something that mentions 5 or 10- points for helpful questions answered....does anyone know any more about this?
I've now lived with the new forum for a bit. I've been posting and replying to similar threads in the Adobe Premiere Video Lounge, since the changeover, but after some reflection, realize that this is a better place to, er-r-r vent. Still, there are some good points, so I'll list those first.Ah, the new fora. Still getting used to them. Here are some reflections on the Pros & Cons, as I see them with IE7:Pros:1.) The general layout is nice2.) Being able to add a link quickly, is a real positive3.) The indentation of replies, to other than the OP. (More on this in the Cons section)4.) The formatting capabilities are great, and easy to set, plus apply5.) Ease of adding screen-caps, etc., is greatly appreciated.Cons:1.) Sometimes really slow, but could just be server overload, or maintenance?2.) Sometimes the server will jump fora. You will be replying to a post in, say the PrPro CS4 forum, get the editing window, and hit Post Reply, to see that it went to some thread in the Acrobat f
Why should my thread be moved to the Photoshop Lounge forum? I'm not interested in that forum. I'm only interested in this forum:Adobe Forums > Adobe general forums > Forum commentsWhile my original post was not a comment on the forums per se, it was just a polite gesture to introduce myself to members of this forum. I clearly stated at the outset:"Just want to introduce myself. I'm kind of new to this forum. But i've heard so much about Adobe and the Adobe Forum Comments forum. I'm so looking forward to taking part in all the exciting discussions."That was aimed at this forum in particular. Not at the Photoshop forums per se. I also received some welcome advice, to which i responded thanking the individuals. What is wrong with that and my original post, that my thread is moved to another forum that has no bearing on this one?Is this the work of a heavy-handed moderator that many seem to be complaining about?Wouuld appreciate an answer from the Forum Host/Moderator.
May I refloat this discussion? It's true that I don´t have anything new to add, but I still find Arial 10 too difficult to read on screen. That's why I always post in Verdana, one of the fonts specially designed for screen usage. Just for comparison:May I refloat this discussion? That's why I always post in Verdana, one of the fonts specially designed for screen usage.(Sorry, it took me a long time to find the original discussion, and I accidentally lost my link to it, but it started with a proposition to change the default font of this site from Arial to Verdana).
It appears that there is no longer a separate CS3 forum. If this is true, have all of the CS3 posts been moved to the Premier Pro Forum?
I've been logged out 5 times today. And I was not even posting.I have not closed my browser. All I have done is leave the website and come back. Not only is getting logged out annoying but it takes over a minute to get logged back in each time.
I have two entrys in the forum. Please remove and or change HLower1 to HLower and delete HLower1. Thanks HLower
I have seen several threads in which the actual number of posts is smaller than the stated number of replies, and have attributed this to deleted messages. However, I have noticed also at least one instance of a thread containig more messages than the stated number of replies, which puzzles me.And now I see this in the list of discussions:and this at the top of the opened thread:However, on scrolling down, I don't find any message posted at 4:56 by RoboWizard. What is worse: the last message in the thread is message #5, posted by me at 5:54 PM.This is completely beyond me.Incidentally, wouldn't it be appropriate to show the time zone being used for the given times?
Hello...Wanted to just introduce myself but they shifted my thread So here i am again. Anyway, I'm kind of new to this forum or was, am i still new after two days?Anyway, i'm here and looking forward to taking part in discussions in the Forum comments forum of the Adobe general forums located in the Adobe forums.I do not want to raise any points about this forum here in case a moderator objects to my hijacking my own thread by deviating from the topic. Will mention as an aside though, that something seems to have been / gone severely wrong – with this and all the other Adobe forums – today.Cheers!.
The link to that letter should be displayed in every major product forum.I notice that Lambert Walsh, VP, Technical Services doesn't give his own contact details but at least it shows some kind of awareness.
WHERE is this thread? When I view it (link) it says it's still in Forum Comments, so I don't think it was moved (unless this place is even more buggy than I thought.)http://forums.adobe.com/message/2219228#2219228If it is moved (somewhere), how would those of us who already answered the question get back to the thread to respond back to any follow up questions if it was moved to some mystery forum? If this is the case stop moving gd threads! If it hasn't been moved, I'm 10000000% certain that it is NOT showing up in the thread listing for 'forum comments' even though it was updated less than a day ago. If it hasn't been moved this is a massive, ridiculous Jiveware bug. Wait, even if it has been moved, it's still a bug!Obey the forum thought police. Violators will be locked, deleted and banned.
Not sure if this is the right forum to put this post in, there are so many forums soI just chose one.Anyway back in June I decided that I was going to do a cross platform upgrade from production cs3 to production cs4, pc to mac. It was over a month before I was sent a product which just happend to be design standard cs4. The wrong product! So I called and adobe said I had to place another order and I could return design standard. So I ordered another product and was charged an additional $550 ( the upgrade price ). I recieved the product a week later and this time it was the correct one. Two weeks later I recieved a third product and then a few days later a forth product. I was charged an additional two times, making this four charges for one product. I have filled out and uploaded letter of software destructions for the products I do not want.I called adobe and opened a case, they closed the case saying it had been resolved and nothing happend. So I called customer support and after b
I'm not saying anything about his skills as a coder, because they appear to be fairly prodigious. That's not the issue. But I feel very strongly that his social reasoning as it pertains to hosting duties does not fit the nature of these forums. Please don't sling mud, because that would give him a reason to lock or otherwise make this thread inaccessible. As it stands, this thread stands as a gathering of opinion; for him to shut it down simply for that would be evidence of tyrannical behavior—exactly the sort of thing we wish to not see here.Simply reply here with a "Yes" or a "I Agree."
Hi everyone I am very new to this! Please help!I was working with someone who has been migrated to Office 2007. If we create an Excel Spreadsheet and convert it to Pdf all is well. When we do the same with his old files the graphs move to the bottom of the pdf page and any text boxes will change font and the graphs will over run the text. These forums log me out after like 1 or 2 hours and its annoying because I have it set to remember me, so it should remember more than just my email address and keep me logged in for a longer time
hey!I just bought a new laptop so i need to deactivate photoshop CS3 from my old computer. I know that you are supposed to go to "help>deactivate" but when i go to the drop down menu under "help" the option for "deactivate" isn't there. it's not that it is grayed out and i cannot access it. The problem is that the option just isn't there at all, my options are "download e-license" and some other thing but nothing remotely similar to "deactivate"!!!! I really need to do this, and i need to do it soon because i am in the process of selling my old laptop!!! please help me and thanks soooo much!!!

I don't think I've ever come across a forum that 'bumps' you out while you are posting. It must be javascript that does it because I don't think XHTML is capable of doing that.Amazing,Ken
When will this get fixed?
I am still trying to get accustomed to the new place. I noticed that when in a thread, the scrolling is jumpy to say the least.I don't know if there are still people working on such issues, but it makes reading very difficult, especially since I have not found a way to jump to the last message read. I am wondering if the issue is not due to the Avatars, but even when they finally show up, it is still jumpy.
HI,Can any one tell me that how to enable Documents Right for Adobe Reader 9.0Thanks
(Mods bored yet?)Seriously, it's been 5 hours since the last threads were moved, and they're still visible here. That's not a "short" delay (as claimed by our mod) due to a caching issue (*cough*BUG), that's a ridiculously broken feature. When you click on the stupid thread to reply you end up in the other forum, magically (although you never switched forums). This breaks the most fundamental rule of "DON'T BE STUPID" in user interface design.Just redirect the OP to the correct forum, and let the thread die a natural death however nature and this forum decide it should go. Is that just too easy of a solution? Given the fact that the thead move feature is BROKEN and barely works, surely that is a reason to at least try out a different style of moderation to see how it works out. If it makes this forum into a useless waste of virtual space (lol..), the option of reinstating martial law is still available...
