RoboHelp

I am working on a project wherein I require the HTML and word ouput, I applied a word template to the word output of my project, it had a header, a footer, a copyright page and a TOC but after the output generation it only applied the header and footer to the final doc. Can anyone tell me why this happens and what can be the solution to this?I then tried to include the copyright page in the project with condition tag as I did not want the copyright page on the HTML output. But then it said 'Output generation failed'Even if I include Copyright in the project, the question of TOC remains as it is.

Scripts look like a powerful tool, but I could not find any documentation/guides on using them. I mainly want to be able to run JavaScript on all pages that were output so I could make changes to them, or make changes to any files within the output folder. I would do this as a Post Generation script.If I could only know how I could access the output directory from within a script that would be a good start.Thanks!

I downloaded this script for Bookmarking and for Emailing a topic. We are encountering issues in that the WAP blocks the scripts.  I'm not sure where to start to locate any content regarding such an issue.  Can anyone point me to relevant information? 

Hi all - I got a new laptop, and installed RoboHelp 2019 without any issues. I then copied over all my projects, maintining the same folder structure.  On the old laptop, all projects have an Image folder Project Manager, which contains all the images used in my projects (I use a lot...). On the new laptop, there are no Image folders. I've copied over files to new laptops before and never seen this happen.  Any idea why? Any issue with my creating an Image folder and moving them all into it? Do I need to maintain the same folder structure beneath the Image folder if so (which would be a drag)? Many thanks as always,Anahid

Greetings,Does anyone have any input about strategies that helped you minimize the impact to current documentation work while upgrading to RoboHelp 2020? Since the RH 2020 skin is quite different it seems that it will take a while to customize it. If you customized the skin, approximately long did it take you? Did you encounter any unexpected obstacles? There will also be a period of time required in my organization for approval. (The approval process won't be quick as it is a busy project season.) I was hoping our single copy of the RoboHelp license would allow me to download RoboHelp 2020  on a separate PC or laptop to set up the skin and other customization, while at at the same time continuing the daily documentation work with RH 2019 on my PC while the approval process is underway. The licensing administrator for our organization informed me that it's not possible to have multiple versions of the software on the same PC, which I figured would be the case, but I'm still w

I have edited the Topic List view to show the Title, Modified Date and Author. I am looking to export this view (report) to send to my colleagues for reference. I tried the Topic Properties Report, but for some reason lost Author (don't ask: I'd tried every field from that report and still don't see it). Is there a simple way to just export this view (Excel would awesome, but I'll settle for anything). Reading the help, there is a reference to the Author menu but I am guessing that's not a 2015 thing. Any advise would be helpful.

I need to be able to create a link to a network folder - not to a specific file.  We have a folder that contains Training information based on several specific subjects, but I want the user to be able to link to the main Folder and then specifiy which part of the training they need to review.  I am using the latest version of RH and have tried multiple ways of linking the Folder through the Hyperlink command.  I have even tried importing the Folder into Assets.  Each try results in failure.  I believe there MUST be a way to link to the Folder without having to list and link ot each individual subject file found in our Training material.  Any help will be appreciated!

Hi,I unsinstalled RH 2020 from my machine and reinstalled it. I am able to launch RH now and open a project. But, when I try to check for updates, I am getting this error:"Specified product is not installed on this machine. Please quit the installer and start over".My current version is 2020.0.156Please  help!  

In Word Printed Output, can Robohelp automatically convert big width tables and images into a landscape orientation? Is there an option? I am using Adobe Robohelp 2017.

Hello! I'm using Prism.JS (https://prismjs.com/) to generate syntax highlighting for XML markup in the docs I'm writing. Locally, this all works well and looks great, but when the files are uploaded to the server it stops working. You can see the live example here:https://docs.flightsimulator.com/html/Content_Configuration/Sounds/Sound_Examples.htm It should look like this:Note that refreshing the page briefly shows the code with highlighting then it breaks... Checking the console output on the browser, I see no errors and the page should load fine, so my question is WHY is the online version not working and what can I do to resolve it? I suspect it's got something to do with the RoboHelp async loading of JS files required to build the ToC etc... but I have no idea how to resolve the issue. Note I've tested on Chrome and Edge and they both show the same issue, but Firefox seems to load everything fine.

Hi all, I have a problem with skin in Robohelp 2020. I have created a skin and customized it, but when I generate an output it shows only some of the skin elements and generated outputs are different even if created from the same skin. For example, there are no all customized buttons, font color and pictures are different in two outputs created with the same skin. 

Hi, I am trying to perform a Find and Replace across all project topics in RoboHelp 2020.5.71.  However when I receive the matches, I see no way to open the topic itself to see where the match exists.  I would like to open the topic from the results list to see the context of the search term.  I do not want to blindly replace something.  Am I doing something wrong?  Is this a bug or is this working as expected?  These are the steps to reproduce:Click the Find and Replace icon.Specify a Search term in the Search field.  Specify the' Replace with' field (I tried not using this and it still doesn't work).Select Topics from the Files of Type field.Select Current Project from the 'Look in' field.Click the Find All icon.The 'matches' are returned in a list on the bottom of the Find and Replace panel.The presented options are Previous Match, Next Match, Replace this result, or Remove this result.The topic where the first result was found does not display in

Okay, I'm using the Trial Version to evaluate TCS 2. One of the features that we would use here in my company is the ability to create DHTML drop-down text. In TCS 1, we have to do this on the RoboHelp side, and the ability to do this in FM is a key selling point for us.However, I can't get it to work in the compiled webhelp.I modified the paragraph properties of the DropDownCaption and DropDownBody tags in FM to match our own style, then followed the instructions in the help. Sure, in RH you can the see two components in the topic editor, but when I compile, it doesn't work.I didn't do anything to the styles on the RH side by the way.Does anybody know how to get this to work properly in compiled webhelp?Thanks.MC

Greetings,Continuing the process of becoming familiar with the current (non-classic) RH interface... in the classic version, a new style sheet could be created with something like a builder dialog, which listed the different type of styles for editing. Is there something like this in the current version of RoboHelp? 

Hi, I'm working on a Help file in 2019 classic. When I have my cursor in the text, the font name in the character section is blank. I need to find out what this font is because most of the Help file is in this font. But I have some areas where there is Arial. I need to change the Arial to whatever this font is. I tried to copy and paste but it pastes as Arial. I included an image of the font and the empty font in Character. Thanks in Advance, Julianna

Robohelp - When i try to drag  Topics or Folders to place them logically rather than alphabetically, in Contents Panel (Author), a message saying "Moving.." Pop up comes which doesnt get executed at all.Hi, I want to sort the Topics and Folders NON-alphabetically in Contents Panel. Drag and drop is not seem to be working. Every time i drag, it gets hung.

I've read through many similar problems, and tried the solutions, but this seems different. First: HHActiveX.dll is registered (both 32 and 64). Plus, I can open other (multiple) CHMs and see the Glossary tab full of terms and definitions. I have a project (I'll call Project X) I worked on a couple months ago. Then, it published (multiple times) with a Glossary. No problems. I just today had to update some text (just text) in a couple topics in this project. I made no changes to anything that should affect the Glossary in any way, or how the project publishes. But publishing the CHM today: the Glossary tab is present, but it is empty of terms and definitions. (It is not a grayed out area -- it has the two white fields where the terms and definitions usually appear, but the fields are empty of text.) Previous versions of Project X CHM (kept in version control) open with the Glossary showing properly. Only the versions I'm producing today are missing the Glossary terms/def

I have a phantom shadow (1) between the header and body containers that I can't seem to get rid of. I've tried changing border colors to #ffffff and clear on both containers, as well as background colors. I've also tried using Chrome Inspector and canceling any grays coming from the userstyles.css. But I still haven't been able to find the source. Also, a mysterious paragraph with the page name appears at the top of the body container (2) just below the breadcrumb. This only shows on the home/landing page. Any ideas on how to get rid of either of these, please?

It would be an unordered list with the bullet graphic I created. I opened the style sheet in RH2020 and added the style. Hi guys, I'm working in RoboHelp 2020.5.71 and trying to implement some cool workflow diagrams using the Mermaid API  However, Robohelp constantly reformats my html and completely breaks my code I write my code like this :  But after switching to Author mode RoboHelp turns it into this, which completely breaks it:  Is there any way to disable RoboHelp from trying to "help" and stop it from overriting my work?  Thanks! -Dan H
