Hi, I have a tracking software that generates a javascript code that I need to add the web pages. Does anyone know how to automatically add this code to the hundred plus pages in RoboHelp? Is there a global setting that can apply this code to every page or is the only option to manually add the code?Thanks Much

Hi There, I am using Robohelp 2019 Classic view. I have a topic that is getting too long "Device Maintenance Settings". I created a book and named it "Device Maintenance Settings" I then created topics under this book for each section of the orginal "Device Maintenance Settings" topic. I copied each section over to its new topic page. My next step would be to delete the original "Device Maintenance Settings topic. I don't know how this will effect my links going out and coming into each new section topic that I created. How can I see which parts of my large Help file are linked into these sections. I'm looking at the  Link View and it shows blue and couple of red lines (broken links I assume). but it's hard to tell if the links are coming in or going out. I checked the book marks but I don't know how to tell what is linking to those. Bottom line: I need to see if the links coming into my new topics will still link even though they've been moved. Thanks for your

Hi Everyone. Using the Oceanic skin I've been using for 1.5 years, the tile titles on my home page no longer display. They used to look like this: Here's what I've tried and failed to do to get the titles back: Mimic the settings of a fresh Oceanic. Retrieve the skin from an older project that I know is working properly. The problem with item 2 is that, when RH upgrades the older project, the upgrade breaks the skin in precisely the way I'm trying to fix. I've tried this with 3 older projects. Each time, the tile titles go missing. From copying the settings of a fresh Oceanic skin, the trouble seems to be the settings of either the details-box or the title-box. I just don't know how to manipulate them. Thank you!!

Can you enter an external cross refence in RoboHelp 2020? For a .chm we entered ProjectName.chm::/Topic_Name.htm.

Hi Everyone. I've just tried adding breadcrumbs to my Master Page. But they look funky. Each topic in the breadcrumbs has a number that covers the separator: How do I edit out those numbers? I don't see anyplace in the "Content Properties" pane to do that. Do I do it in the CSS? If so, where? Thank you!   

Hi Everyone. Sorry to be peppering you all with questions today! There's a little red "x" when viewing my TOC in the TOC editing pane:  What does that red x mean? I know how it got there. In Content Properties (General tab), I've just deleted the name of the topic that had been linked as the "Source" (i.e., Source is now blank): The reason I've left it blank is that, previously, the Source of that the TOC Book was linked to was the 1st page underneath it in the TOC:  The red x disappeared from the TOC editor. In RH2020, I cannot find the option which allowed me to view image properties in RH2017.  Has it been eliminated? 

I'm working with RH Classic 19 (14.0.14.002)I've created a table with 2 columns and 10 rows and then generated it - all is well.However, if I apply a conditional tag to a row and then generated it - all is not well.The text that I applied a conditional tag to is now indented and not aligned with the rest of the columns.How do I get rid of these indented spaces after applying the tags?

MY mapsoft TOC builder show "incompatible" for acrobat dc pro, why?

I'm on Windows 10 and I'm upgrading my RoboHelp 2019 Classic projects to RoboHelp 2020.5.71.When I generated my responsive HTML5 output, I noticed that some of the HTML files weren't exporting. After more investigation, I found that if a topic wasn't in the TOC, it wasn't being generated. I have topics that I don't want in the TOC because they're only accessed from the application under certain circumstances (like for a specific error). Is there a setting that I'm missing?

The RH 2020 software specifications mention Windows 7 or 10 as the OS. However, I tried installing RH 2020 on Windows 2016 server and it installed and is working perfectly. Does that mean Windows 2016 server is supported?

Hi, I'm trying to make use of the microcontent results in a search box other than the main search at the top of the page (included in the frameless skin). In 2020 this is added as a search widget. Pressing enter opens up these results in a new page - How can I get the results to polulate underneath the box on the same page? Any thoughts are welcome. Thanks. 

I'm using RoboHelp 2019 (not Classic) and topics that I've made changes to are now appearing as new entries in the Topics pane - so there's now two versions of the same file. If I go to delete the older one, I get a message saying that there are other topics linking to this topic. Does anyone know why this is happening and what I can do to fix the issue without having to delete the older version and then redo all of the cross links?

The table is 600 px width, the second column is 500 px width. Every width is specified in the fields. And when the table is empty it is really 600 px width. But after I added some very long text in the cells, it expanded and went far beyond the page. The table does not respond to settings in the right panel.  When you view this table in a browser, a scroll bar appears. When you view this table in PDF, the table is simply truncated to the right.I tried splitting the long text by moving the long line to a new line. But this led to a violation of formatting (the font has changed and the line spacing has increased). The width of the table manually (with a special handle that appears when you hover the mouse over the edge of the table) is also not adjustable. How to reduce the width of the table to acceptable, so that it does not go beyond the page and does not spoil the formatting of the text? 

I add code Style to break lines so that they would not enlarge the table. code { word-break: break-all; }But after that the font I used in the table changed. I use IBM Plex Sans Medium font in the left side of the table The code of the first table row (Total Sales) looks like that:  As you see, I added IBM Plex Sans Medium font twice here. The TOC font on the Blue Azure skin is much larger than the text in the Help files.  How do I change that font type and size?  

I'm looking for advice on how to resolve an issue where a Robohelp 2017 project has been lost and the only backup is from over a year ago, not good I know.There is a responsive html generated version of the helpfiles from not that long ago.  Was wondering if anyone had any advice on how to handle this, although I know it's not going to be a simple easy fix.And to throw things into the mix, I want to upgrade this project to Robohelp 2020 at some point.  So I have a few questions and would be grateful for any advice.Is it best to upgrade to 2020 then sort out the problemsIs importing the generated helpfiles into the project going to be easier than copying and pasting their contents? There was about 800 topics in the project.Is there a way of importing the images that are in those html files?I'm not that familiar with Robohelp 2017, as I haven't used it for years.  I use Robohelp 2020.  It's a colleague who is using that version.

I have been using Robohelp version 10 for many years and I know I should have updated it a long time ago but it did what I needed and I was perfectly happy with it.  However my laptop died last week and I have a new one.  Our purchasing department are telling me that the successor to Robohelp 10 is Creative Cloud however I cannot see any reference to it in my research.  Is Robohelp 2020 a completely different product from Creative Cloud?   I have several large projects and this is my main tool so I am anxious to get on and make sure I get the right product.  Thanks for your help.

I was wondering if someone could explain what the output generation warning means from the new version of robohelp (currently on 2020.5.71).I get two types of warnings when I generate my content:1. Skipped copying external file (all this files seem to be from a child project - so it's child to child linking)2. Failed to copy - these seem to be images I have in the project however I could not see any errors in the live system? Any ideas how I can identify and fix these issues?Thanks,

I have several child projects that roll up to a parent project. There are several PDF files from one of the child projects that are in my parent project. I only see them in the File Status pod. I am trying to delete them but that is not an option. They are not baggage files.   Any suggestions?   Moderator: Please don't abbreviate versions to avoid confusion between the marketing version name and the version number.

I am using a Master Page in my project.  If I make a change to the Master Page, how can I update my created topics with the update?  It is not automatically updating.

Greetings,I'm making some changes to the Indigo skin in RoboHelp 2020. In the topic page view, the table of contents was displaying on the right. I changed the RTL setting in the skin layout, and the TOC then displayed on the left. I saved the skin with the changed RTL setting and then generated the output again, but the output continues to show the table of contents on the right, not on the left as shown in the preview after the change. Has anyone else had this issue? Any suggestions?

Hi, I have created an output preset with Azure blue skin. However, I want an index page with no TOC. Similar to a different cover page in Word. Can I have an index page with no TOC and TOC for the other pages using Azure blue skin?If this option is not available with Azure blue, do I have to change my skin to Studio? I know Studio skin supports a different index page. Thanks and regards,Madhu

I want to link Word documents to my RoboHelp project - so if I update the Word document, my RH project can be updated accordingly. I tried to link a folder on my computer. This folder included some subfolders and Word documents. I linked the documents by right-clicking in the content panel > Link > Link Folder.This worked. Then, I clicked on one of my Linked Word Documents and selected 'Create/Update Topics'.By doing so, the RH Topic was created. But this also created a new folder, with the same name as my Topic & Linked Word Document. If I now go to my TOC, I have Folder called 'Banff Mountains' and a Topic called 'Banff Mountains'.Is there a way that I can create linked Topics without extra folders being created?Thanks in advance.
