I am encountering Appcrash everytime I try to open a project. The project was working fine but now is giving the following warning and then closing. Any help to resolve the issue will be appreciated.
I'm using the full version of RoboHelp 2019. I'm producing responsive HTML5.I'm trying to produce a help system that matches the design of the web application, which has a left-hand menu panel. I therefore want to be able to fix the width of the TOC panel AND also prevent the toc from hiding if the user resizes the window. This is particularly important because our company logo shrinks when the TOC is automatically hidden.I've seen that there is an article relating to TOC width, but this is only applicable up to version 2017 so I thought I would pose the two questions together.I very much appreciate any help that anyone can give.
Hi, Everyone!I'm following along in the Matt Sullivan TC2 tutorial. But when I insert an image and choose "float: right," the image doesn't float. It gets placed above the text and at full-page width. (It displays this way in both the preview and the generated output in my browser.) <img src="../assets/images/Call center 6 - 600px.jpg" style="float: right;" />A Wider Impact</h2> Another clue to my troubles might be the fact that I'm also not able to resize the image in RH. The controls for height and width do not accept any changes. Thanks for any help!
I am unable to find instruction in RH user guide to import markdown file. Is there any possibility to import .md file in classic RoboHelp? Please help me.
According to https://helpx.adobe.com/robohelp/using/format-content.html, I should be able to edit text fonts in the properties pane, but it is empty. I also do not see the Update Style icon. I am using Robohelp 2019. I do not see any way to edit text size, font, color, etc. I do have View - Property Panel turned on.
I have Responsive HTML5 online help output that works perfectly on the latest version of Google Chrome browser. All features of the help work fine. The help is developed in RH 2017 latest update. However, on IE 11.0.96.19596, the search does not work. When I type a search string, it keeps searching but does not fetch any results.Any idea if this is a known issue with IE? Any workaround?
when I change a title of windows settings in RH2019 i need to check if this default window is used in 3 places:html help output settingsbut also in the advanced settingshereand hereIf I don't change those advanced settings in RH2019 classic, I get daughter windows. But there is no advanced settings button in RH2019 for the output settings... and thus I get daughter windows! best regards Olivier
Hi,In RH 2019, how do I apply a CSS to all topics at once? When I try to "select all" topics, I only see "cut" "copy" and "delete" as options (please see screenshot, attached). How do I select all topics and access "Properties"?Thank you!------UPDATE: NEVER MIND 🙂I found the solution (see 2nd screenshot): Contents pane > Select all in the Contents pane > View menu > Topic List > toggle "select all" > Right-click > Properties > Scroll down to Style Sheets
HiI am using the Frameless Skin on RH 2019. I would like to know if it is possible to edit the following:TOC tile image - I would like to upload a customised image at the center for each tile. I did upload the image in Layout > Home Page > TOC Tile Images but i am not able to position it at the center. The default tile has got the image at the center of each tile.TOC list tile - Is there a way to only display the topics or books in the TOC title that I need. From my understanding, RH automatically picks all the topics or books in the TOC and displays it as a tile in the output. If i have 10 topics in the TOC, i would like only 5 of those to be available as a tile in the output. Please let me know if I can customise it as per need.TOC tile details-box - Is there a way to modify the details box. RH, do pick the topic name as the title for each of the tiles, I would also like to add a brief description to each. Created a Feature Request for step 3: https://tracker.adobe.co
I have a webhelp project that is authored in robohelp classic 2019 for a web application that only supports IE8 and lower (the app does not work on Chrome or Firefox). In order to open or access this web application I have to add the site to Compatibility View because we are on IE 11 now. When I generate my webhelp file and deploy it to my organization's production build, it seems the Search tab doesn't return any search results when I access the webhelp in IE compatibility view. I also noticed a javascript error appears as I use my mouse to hover over the search icon (see the screenshot attached). In addition, when I access the webhelp file from my local machine, the Search does work in IE compatability view. Has anyone else had this issue? Is there a work around? Thanks, Kim
We publish in 3 languages. Every project in his own languageAs I want to use the build in correction feature, I prefer to adapt my projects en change the languageEverytime I do this, my window title changes from my own string to 'html help'.I suppose somewhere I can choose how this title is defined, per language.Where is that?best regardsOlivier
Hello, I've a merged chm project. all outputs are directed to a dir output, one level higher than the main project. (that's ok?) When I place a relation to a chm file in my main project (via toc, remote topic), it is copied automatically to the root of the main project (one level lower). In the subproject I link one topic of a subproject to another topic of another subproject via the remote topic link feature. I'm just wondering...what happens if I compile one of these remote subprojects afterwards. that new subprojects target is NOT in the root of the main project...I suppose I have to copy them manually to the main, if I don't make modifications? Is that right? best regardsOlivier
I have 11 chapters of a procedures manual. All of them but chapter 1 published correctly. I checked the test environment and the live environment and chapter 1 will not appear on the final index Chapter 1 for some reason will not publish at index.aspx. Please advise. Thanks.
Hi All, I was wondering if anyone can help with this query as I haven't been able to find the answer online: Does anyone know if the current version of the AirHelp output - RoboHelp 2019 Classic - creates a 64 bit application (as the current MacOS no longer supports 32 bit applications) Thanks in advance, RC
Hi All, Does the output of RoboHelp 2019 constitute a 'Web Application'? RC
My final problem to solve on trying to make the design of my help system match the web application is the colour of the search results that appear when you enter search text in the Header Bar Search field. I'm producing Responsible HTML5 using the Azure Blue skin (significantly edited). Currently, it seems to default to black which is simlar to the colour of the drop-down list and I can't see where to change it. Any ideas? Thanks Tracy
Running RoboHelp 2019 (update 12). I produce responsive HTML 5 help for a software application. The help will be hosted in the cloud (e.g. Azure) and users will access it via a link within the software application (something they have to sign in to, to open/run). The application consists of a standard feature set that all users receive but also includes a number of optional a la carte modules/features that they can purchase/subscribe to. Here's the big picture "ask": I'd like to restrict users from accessing help topics for modules they haven't purchased. Generating and hosting 30 different permutations of the help based on all the possible combinations of product modules is untenable. General steps would look similar to this:User logs into software application (authentication is managed via Auth0). User only has access to software modules they've purchased.User launches help from software application. Some solution detects which modules the user has.The help opens
Does the following scenario work? 1. Server holds WebHelp Version 1.2. Edits are made to apage.htm in the source and saved.4. The WebHelp output is regenerated but it goes to a directory on the desktop. (WebHelp version 2).5. The apage.htm in WebHelp version 2 is copied and pasted into Server WebHelp Version 1.If the above scenario does not work, detailed information about why it does not work is needed. Thank you,Cynthia
I'm using RoboHelp 2019 and producing Responsive HTML 5 help.I am trying to match the help site to the web based application. In the app, hyperlinks are blue with a dotted underline when active: When hovered, they have a blue background with white text. I have achieved this for standard hyperlinks, but for some reason, this doesn't work for related topics and breadcrumbs. The background is blue, but the text is also blue and therefore can't be seen. I did a fair amount of online research and discovered that the order in which active:, hover:, etc. are ordered in the CSS is imperative, but this doesn't appear to have made any impact. I also could not find a style for breadcrumbs. Any ideas? Many thanks in advance.
I'm using RoboHelp 2019 and producing Responsive HTML 5 help.I'm trying to match the help design to that of the web based app. I would like to remove the shadow that appears on the Search field on the header bar, but can't find which .CSS the setting is stored. Any ideas? Many thanks in advance.
Does anyone know how or if can do Search for variables in the Variables listing? We have a large number of Variables defined and in previous version of RH2015 the Variable Search was a much used time saving feature. That does not seem to be available in current RH2019 or the feature is just very hard to locate. Thoughts/Suggestions? We are currenlty using RH2019 Update 9 (14.9.0)Thanks,Leona Jackie Sexton
I was wondering if anyone could help with an issue I am having with RoboHelp 2019. Last week, I outputted a project using HTML5 and it worked fine. Now I have tried to output the same project and the generation is failing. I have found that the links are now broken in one of the books in the project and the text "format= has now been added to the topic name in the table of contents. The topic title is 'Close_Matter_&_Cases'. Does anyone know if this text is causing the issue and if so, why it has just appeared now? I am using RoboHelp 2019.
I tried to import a skin that I had created for another project. After selecting the Import option, I browse to locate the skin but when I pressed Open, it opened to an empty folder and I couldn't continue with the Import. Is Import the Skin the option I need to use the skin I created from another project? What am I doing wrong?
Can we get a list or report of topics that have been excluded from search?
There are three issues that can occur in our project when genereating word docs with RoboHelp:RoboHelp flags all topics, images, and files with an error in the Output View port and fails the generationThe generation progress bar freezes around 20% and hangs on processing images (have left and waited for multiple hours, it never finishes)RoboHelp will hard crash during the processing of images Known current solutions for the above mentioned issues:Force close RoboHelp through the task manager, reopen and try to generate again (usually works on the first attempt)If force closing does not work, restart computer and try again Has anyone had similiar issues?
