I'm creating a parent/child merged project. The child projects are in different translated languages.In the initial test phases, I'm finding that Search doesn't locate terms in the Latin languages (French and Portuguese, but I'm going to test all the languages). However, it DOES locate topics containing text in Asian languages, like Chinese and Korean.I've had consistent problems with all software misbehaving because I work for a company with so many security layers that it actually breaks applications. I suspect that's the problem here, but would like someone who is NOT in this environment to please test a project and see if they encounter the same problems. If you do, I'll report it as a bug to Adobe. Otherwise, I'll make a video of how the software behaves and send it to the IT team here to investigate.Can someone please look at my project? I'm going to insert translated text into all of the child projects in all languages so I can see what happens.Thanks!

I am using FrameMaker 11, RoboHelp 10, and IE 11. My RoboHelp project is linked to my FrameMaker book.In RoboHelp, I do an update (File - Update). Everything seems to work OK, but at the end I get this error message: "An error occurred while trying to read data from C:\ ... RHFrameDocs.apj."I go ahead and generate the primary layout (WebHelp). Everything seems to work OK. WebHelp opens in IE. Contents and Index are displayed in their panes.IE displays the message, "Internet Explorer restricted this webpage from running scripts or ActiveX controls." I click Allow Blocked Content.Contents disappears in its pane. There is nothing displayed. Ditto with Index. Any ideas? Hi all,Before I ask the two questions below, here is my workflow: I have the FM files open in FM. I opened RH> new project> saved the project folder on desktop. Once RH was open, I clicked on the project tab> document> imported the FM book. There are two issues that I face: When I right-click on the Getting Started Guide, I do not see the option to update. Can someone please point out why do i not see the option to update? The screenshot shows you the options I see below?The second issue is that I do not see the font/setting that I modified in the RHstylesheet mapping applied to the content. It took me some time to add specific modifications under Paragraph and Table. After I apply and say OK, I do not see the the setting applied to the content?Thanks in advance.-Ahsan

I may be overlooking something obvious, but when I highlight text in RoboHelp, there is no way to switch between pixels and inches. In the example below, the measurement is given using inches, but often instead of in it will say px. I can change the numeric value but not the type of measurement used. So if I want to do exactly what I've done in a different topic, and apply identical formatting, how can I do this using the paragraph settings?

Hi there,I'm using the Ocean layout with the DHTML effects 'Expanding Text' and 'DropDown Text'. When the effect is activated and the text exceeds the screen re-estate, the scroll bar does not increase, (i.e. the text is truncated). Is there a work-around to this issue? This issue doesn't appear when using the Azure Blue layout.Thanks, Tyson.

When I was messing around with the evaluation copy of RH I managed to generate output without the Back icon (shown on the screenpic below).I cant remember how I did it now!Any ideas folks?

We are evaluating RH 2017 Responsive HTML 5 layout over traditional Web Help.One question the PM team has is that is there a way to show or configure alerts, news, updates that user would see when the user launches the help from the product?The help will be hosted on a help server.For example, some critical fixes have been made in the product that need to be highlighted/shown upfront on the launch of the help for about a month or until the next help build is pushed. Is that doable?

I am using RH2017 and Visual Studio Team Server for source control. If I try to create a new topic and insert it in theTOC, the build fails with error HHC6000 and HHC5007

Okay..Here comes my publishing issue.I am trying to publish through Robohelp 2017. ...using WebHelp Pro and Robohelp Server 9.0.Once the WebHelp Pro wizard opens and I go to Next and then fill in the Publish details, such as Server URL, username , password.The Help Area dropdown does not show anything. And shows that it is not able to connect to the server.. I have attached the screenshot.So, in short, the issue is that Although I am able to login to the Roboserver, The Robohelp 2017 is not able to connect to the server.Note: I was able to see the Areas earlier. And I was able to publish smoothly earlier. All of a sudden this issue came.

We have yet another question from the PM team. They are happy with the Responsive HTML5 layout and the overall output compared to Web Help.Because the product is now going to be multi-tenant, the only concern is that different tenants (users) will be accessing different areas of the product based on the license that they have purchased.Based on that backdrop, is there a mechanism or some kind of admin portal/console possible that allows such a control. I know a Web Help output or a Responsive HTML 5 output does not provide anything like that directly. Any pointers/suggestions?

In the meanwhile, I have another issue coming up which needs to be resolved urgently.When I create the output and open the index.htm file in any browser, all the topics links are showing the same in the Address bar.I have tried creating the output with WebHelp and WebHelp Pro both.Showing the snapshot of the same links of two topics:

I created a help file in Adobe Robohelp 10 but the screen caps I inserted are not shown when I compile.  Instead, this icon  shows up instead.  The graphics are in by reference and are kept in a folder on the same machine.  The odd thing is, is that I can get the screen caps to show up in the compiled help file, by manually going through, double-clicking on a cap to launch image properties dialog and then simply click OK; but it doesn't retain them when I exit the Help file.  Any thoughts?

Hello! When compiling a project in Robohelp 2017 (13), the system throws the following error message when wanting to view SSL by Multriscreen HTML. I did the Uninstall the system, install it again, compiled again and it keeps throwing me the same error. Do you have an idea how to solve it? From already thank you very much!

Hi,I have created a hyperlink to a video in MP4 format from my Webhelp project however, when I click on the hyperlink in the compiled project, it will not open the video.Alternatively, I have tried inserting the video into a topic as Multimedia but it starts to play and then sticks after a few seconds and will not proceed.I don't see anything in my browser settings that would prevent videos from running.Any ideas please?

Hi I have added a ton of drop-downs in my help that open as a "custom dialog"  -for my navigation menus. When I checked locally, the drop-downs opened fine.However, after uploading to our site, I am encountering a bug where the drop-down opens up correctly the first time, but if you click on it again, the dialog shrinks and the content basically dissapears.Here is the site:http://192.168.66.108/#t=Optitex_2D%2FMenus.htm To see the bug, click on File then New. Click on another drop-down and then go back to New.It should open like this:Instead it is opening like this:I am curious if anyone is familiar with this bug. If yes, are there any workarounds?

I'm trying to work out how to set up Responsive HTML5, Indigo layout.I have a parent project and half a dozen child projects.I have a problem with the TOC from child projects not syncing with the topic displayed. It works for some child projects. Then it stops working.So this is the TOC in the parent project.And this is the output. All looks fine so far.First levelSecond level below "Opera 3 Help"Third levelAll great so far. Notice how the TOC on the right is in sync with the page displayed for the child project in the Administration folder. Excellent. This one works!Now for another child project. Notice the TOC doesn't sync. It should be here (I manually opened the TOC to show you).All the other projects don't work either.Any ideas please?Thanks.

I was using flash 8 normally, but then I had to restart my laptop and when I open it again I re-opened the project I was working with, which had audio, but, when I pressed enter to play the animation in the preview, the audio and the video it was very 'glitchy' in the first seconds of the project, this makes extremely hard for me to make timing , help?

OK, for starters I figure that working this way would be a very bad idea. Unfortunately I know very little about version control and networks. So when my manager and the techies ask me why I just cant check files in and out of the Development server via Explorer, I cant explain this to them in terms they understand or appreciate.I'm just trying to get somebody to set up my system so I can access version control and collaborative authoring from within RoboHelp.First off somebody suggested using the development server. But they also suggested I do all the CHECKING IN / OUT from Explorer. I said RoboHelp version controlling / collaborative only works if you initiate it from within RoboHelp. But they dismissed this, saying something like "they're only files and it doesn't matter where you do it from" I don't know enough about version control and networks to explain to them, in terms they will appreciate, that this is not how RoboHelp works. Hi All,I've completely cleaned-out my .css, including the "Background + Text(BODY)" so that everything is set to Arial. I saw in another post that Adobe said (Feb 29, 2016 11:25 PM) they were aware of this issue and looking for a solution. My company acquired this license 2-3 months ago. Is there still no solution to this issue? My output comes out in Times New Roman 12 pt as the "normal". It's beyond annoying. It's a waste of my productivity to continue trying to make this program do what it should. Please provide a fix. It's been an entire year since the response to Text defaulting to Times New Roman . This may not seem like an issue to Adobe, but the font is annoyingly large, and this product should provide the ability to control the output using a .css. Thank you,Heather Ceana Craig

Hi I am trying to publish responsive HTML5 output to sharepoint - we are on sharepoint 365.  I have pasted the sharepoint site address in sharepoint site field in the Connection Details window.  When I try to publish I get an error message saying: error: the remote server returned an error: (403) Forbidden.  Any suggestions?  It's a folder I created so I do have full access.If it's not possible to publish directly - how do I publish locally then upload?  I tried selecting the Advanced Option Generate SharePoint Native Output Before Publishing and then uploading the ASPX files to my sharepoint folder manually.  When I clicked the Index.aspx link all the formatting was lost.  Am I doing something wrong?RegardsLeanne

Is there a possibility to output or convert an HTML5 help as MHT file?The context mapping etc. must of course continue to work.My project has about 5000 files and the software developers of my application would rather have a file.I've zipped the help files so far, but unpacking takes 30 seconds on some computers and that's too long for them.

I want to use a feature in Robohelp which shows a text on mouse hovering a word...I don't remember the name of the feature but it surely exists...When you want to give an explanation of the word in a text box..the output should show the text on mouse hovering that word. Similar features are Dropdown text and Expanding text...But they show text only on a click of mouse..so I don't want that...
