Hi GuysI setup RoboSource control, added 3 existing projects and checked in all files. I go to RoboHelp and select open project -> Select RoboSource Control -> Select the connection -> Browse to the root folder ($/ProjectName) -> Select a local folder (I assume this is the checkout location)All it then does it open a regular File Open Dialog. What am I missing? Surely I don't have to use the RoboSourceControl Explorer to check out projects?Regardsmark

RH11 | WebHelpThis may be related to my previous post (File Status "New version available") but I am now unable to open a project from version control using the padlock button in RoboHelp's Open Project dialog box. It lets me select a project to open, but then just sits there, not doing anything.Any ideas?ThanksJonathan

1) Using Robohelp HTML 10.0.1.2922) Created a webhelp layout at single source layouts3) Used the XP Blue skin4) Generated the WebHelp5) Converted Webhelp to CHM6) The navigation bar displayed at the top of navigation pane does not display the items though they are configured at the skin

The other user can see the ssl files of the new layouts in the project files, but when opening the actual project, the new layouts do not display in the single source layout pod

Other topics in the project open at the top. Is there a setting I missed?

Hi,I have this enourmous user guide that is now going to get bigger. It will have several versions; all versions will have common topics and all versions will have topics unique to specific users. Now, instead of creating another project and having to manage multiple users guides, is there a way I can create several users guides in one?I would like to be able to edit a topic in one version and have it automatically update the topic in another version.If RH does not have this capability, what is the easiest way to go about this? I've just been told I may have several different versions of this user guide by next year, some in different languages.I haven't updated to 2015 yet as I have a pressing deadline coming up and I don't want to deal with any bugs right now until I research what 2015 has to offer.I start the new version of this project next week, so any quick advice you can offer would be greatly appreciated!Thanks,Pam

Is it true that you can't select multiple files in the Project Manager? This is ridiculous. Online Help Authoring tools are supposed to be able to manage what could be at least 10s of files, if not more. So I'm supposed to spend at least 20 minutes deleting / managing files?! Not to mention that apparently you can't format topics to be sub-topics in a TOC? This is a given in Flare.

My team plans to use SharePoint for version control. So when I follow the instructions and select Add to Version Control in a RoboHelp 11 project, and then select the RoboHelp SharePoint Connector, I get the following:But the instructions say the RoboHelp installer automatically installs this. We installed RoboHelp 11 as part of TCS 5 so I don't know if that's the issue. But in any case, I need to get this component installed.

I am not finding and answer to this that is recent and involves multiscreen output. We don't use a glossary for our output, but I can see no control to deselect in html5 like exists in the WebHelp layout

After generating my project using 'Responsive HTML5', the desktop and tablet layouts work perfectly in Google Chrome and Firefox, however there is a problem with Internet Explorer (I am using IE9). In IE when the content is viewed on the desktop it is always shown with the Phone layout and on occasions the TOC fails to populate when opened. I have also tried the sample projects with the same results.The image below shows the IE9 layout on the full size desktop:The image below shows what happens when the TOC button is selected.The image below shows the same project using Google Chrome on the same desktop. This is the correct desktop layout.However, when I use RH11 all layouts, including IE, are correct!!Is there a setting that I am missing somewhere in RH2015, or is there a file from RH11 that I can copy over to RH2015 that might correct the problem?Thanks,Chris

In RH 2015 there appears to be a couple of bugs in the HTML Help window editor which creates some issues in the CHM output.1) In the HTML Help Window editor, when Search is selected and Glossary is deselected the final chm output shows the Search tab labelled as 'Glossary'. This does not happen if both Search and Glossary are selected, where both are correct in the output.   The tab content is actually correct, that is, it contains the search panel, it is just the label that is wrong.2) The 'Browse Sequences' selection box in the Windows Properties editor does not seem to work. After unchecking the 'Browse Sequence' option, the chm output still shows the ugly browse panel. The only way to remove the panel is to delete any actual Browse Sequence that has been saved in the project.My projects have been converted over from RoboHelp 11 where all these options performed correctly. (GTX 970). I know NVIDIA is better with ray trace and so many other things, but i mostly will use the Premier Pro for 4k rendering with Lens distortion, cause i will edit GoPro videos. I edited the .css file for my project so that the Normal paragraph style font size is Segoe UI 9pt. However, whenever I start typing in a new topic with the Normal paragraph, the font size is 10pt. I have to manually change it to 9pt from the Font Size drop-down list.

I am trying to add a RoboHelp project to version control (for the first time). Following the instructions I select Add to Version Control, then select the RoboHelp SharePoint Connector, but then get this:But this is, in fact installed on my machine. I'm not sure what my next step is.

I'm working in Rh 11.0.4.291.This is probably a "duh" question, but I can't remember how to change the title text in the header of a responsive layout. In the layout editor, I see that I can change the title font, color, and hover color, but where does one change the actual text?Any assistance will be much appreciated.

I have set up a project to test using tags and boolean expressions in filtering. My project is a very simple arrangement of 4 books: A, B, C and D.Each book is linked to a topic (All about A, All about B etc.), and each one contains 3 pages: Book A has pages A1, A2, A3; Book B has pages B1, B2... etc.The All About ... topics have been tagged at the topic level as A, B, C and D. The page topics have been tagged accordingly with tags A-D and also with tags 1-3.No tagging has been done in the TOC.I set up filters for each tag, A-D and 1-3.The letter filters A-D show the TOC filtered properly, but the number filters do not show any topics in the TOC unless all books are expanded before the filter is applied. In other words, the TOC does not synchronize to show all the topics that match the filter, and it does not show the books that contain topics that match the filter.This seems odd - shouldn't the TOC display any book that contains a topic that matches a filter? For all my topics, the borders around individual cells in all the tables are not showing when I viewed using Chrome. Besides that, everything else is working just fine with Chrome and cell borders display as they should in IE and Firefox (Firefox does have a couple other unrelated display issues though). I do use a table style to format all the tables but the style does not have cell borders since I could never get it to work the way I wanted. I use the style for all the tables and then manually add the cell borders. We recently incorporated a third-party product into our software. I imported the help topics from the third-party's online help into our company's online help (with the third party's permission). Within the third party software, they have a help button that makes a context-sensitive call to a topic. In order to do this, I enter the URL of my company's online help and then they append a helpkey to it (for example: http://www.mycompany.com/help/WebHelp?helpkey=tabGeneral&language=en-us). The part in italics is the part they append.I need to know how to set my online Help package (using WebHelp) to open a specific topic based on the helpkey sent via the URL. Given the above example, how do I tell RoboHelp to open a specific topic within the company's online help if the helpkey is "tabGeneral")?I know all of the helpkeys that can be sent from the third party. I am using a 30-day trial of Robohelp 2015 to test it out. I opened a projected created in Robohelp 10, let RH update it, and generated a responsive HTML5 output. While generating the output, I selected "Convert auto-sizing and custom-sized popups to hyperlinks" and "convert text-only popups to hyperlinks" in the optimization tab. Everything seems to work fine, except that in the popups converted to hyperlinks, the "next" and "back" buttons have disappeared. (those buttons are present in all the other topics) I also added bread crumbs by adding a placeholder on the master page of the project, and the breadcrumbs don't show up in these topics, either.Does anyone know what might be happening and how to fix it? We are first time users and just installed RH 2015 client and RH Server v9.  Is there a way to retain RH server information across projects when publishing new WebHelp Pro projects?  We have hundreds of doc's to publish and entering server information each time is very time consuming and seems unnecessary.  Thank you in advance.[Moved from the generic Comments forum to the specific Program forum... Hi,I'm using RH2015.I have generated a responsive layout in both a single project and a merged project and in the generated output the path is being written as per.....index.htm#t=mergedProjects%2F10act%2Fact%2Fact_rl5.htmWhy in the URL path is '%2F' being added? This is what I would expect to be in the path:index.htm#t=mergedProjects/10act/act/act_rl5/act_rl5.htm If I change it to this manually the topic displays correctly but if I click to another topic then back the path reverts back to having '%2F' in the path. Anyone know why this is happening?
